The Western Continent’s Disaster

Zhao Qianxue is the daughter of the Poison Control Holy Land’s holy maiden. Five hundred years before her introduction, her mother carried her away from the Holy Land’s destruction before returning to contain the poisonous gas. Her mother died, while rumors blamed the holy maiden for the disaster. Qianxue maintained that she had been framed 36 38 44.

Qianxue eventually became the protector of Poison Control City, the Western Continent’s last remaining major human city. Its residents held her in high esteem, but she doubted that even her special physique would let her clear the continent’s poison within a hundred years 36.

The Hundred Poison Fruit

After rescuing Ye Zichen and Long Han from a corpse horde, Qianxue enlisted Long Han’s help to obtain the Hundred Poison Fruit. She could not overcome its Late-Stage Half-Immortal Corpse Beast guardian alone. While Long Han distracted the black bear, she forced her way through poisonous vines, seized the fruit, and escaped 36 37.

After refining it, she chose to expand the safe territory around Poison Control City rather than immediately challenge the Corpse King. An encounter with four children strengthened her resolve to liberate the continent so they could see the outside world 37 38.

Defense of Poison Control City

With Long Han guarding her, Qianxue cleared the surrounding poison gas and erected a barrier covering a hundred-li radius. Sensing a change in the gas and heeding Ye Zichen’s warning, she reinforced the city’s shelters and organized an orderly evacuation 38 39.

Three days later, a corpse tide numbering in the millions attacked. Qianxue, Long Han, and more than a dozen Venerables defended the city. During the battle, Du Mingzi appeared and admitted that he had killed her mother and spread the rumors blaming her 40 41.

Qianxue insisted on fighting him herself, but his Corrosion Qi left her badly injured. Her mother’s keepsake then awakened, briefly showing her mother entrusting the Western Continent’s future to her. After reaching Peak Half-Immortal, Qianxue killed Du Mingzi with the dagger her mother had given her 41 42.

Liberation and Coronation

The Corpse King emerged to capture Qianxue and refine her perfected physique. He restrained her using a Law Treasure made from her mother’s extracted Myriad Poison Immortal Physique. Ye Zichen intervened, killed him, and restored life to the Western Continent 42 43.

Qianxue begged Ye Zichen to resurrect her mother. He explained that her mother had been dead for five hundred years and that bringing her back would demand a price no one in that world could afford. Encouraged by Long Han and the Heavenly Dao, she returned to the city to announce victory. Ye Zichen declared her the Western Continent’s first empress, and the populace acclaimed her 44.

News subsequently credited Zhao Qianxue with defeating the Corpse King, although Ye Zichen had delivered the killing blow. As Empress First Snow, she later attended Chu Muyang’s five-thousandth birthday banquet among representatives of the four continents 43 44 47.

Personality

Qianxue is initially carefree, outspoken, and teasing. She laughs without concern for appearances, dislikes Long Han’s formality, and repeatedly needles Ye Zichen for his cold demeanor. Even after learning his overwhelming strength, she affectionately calls him “Ice Face” 36 37 44.

Her responsibility toward the city outweighs her irritation or fear. She takes Ye Zichen’s warning seriously despite being annoyed with him, prepares shelters before the attack, and tells volunteer defenders to retreat rather than die needlessly. The residents’ calm response to her evacuation order demonstrates their trust in her 39 40.

Her mother’s death remains her deepest emotional wound. Anger initially drives her into a reckless charge against Du Mingzi, while her attachment later leads her to plead for her mother’s resurrection. Protecting the city’s children ultimately gives her renewed purpose 38 40 44.
