He refuses an imperial proclamation praising his medical skills because the attention would interfere with his leisurely life 1 4 18 31.

His generosity often follows personal kindness or a meaningful encounter. He rewards Zhang Xu’s hospitality, supports promising cultivators, and treats ordinary villagers despite possessing power far beyond their world. His strongest protective response concerns Mu Lingxi: he rejects the idea that her future greatness should require losing her family and happiness 9 29 45.

Toward enemies, he is ruthless and sometimes deliberately theatrical. He destroys entire hostile sects, strips opponents of their cultivation, and allows conspirators to continue preparing because he finds their efforts entertaining. Transmigration and the Sword Sect

Ye Zichen arrives in the Weiyang Realm at the Sword Sect, where the All Heavens and Myriad Realms Invincibility System binds itself to him. Its beginner rewards immediately grant him peak Immortal Emperor cultivation. After learning the realm’s geography from the sect ancestor, Ye Tian, he rewards him with a breakthrough and takes a secluded courtyard on the back mountain, asking the sect leaders to keep his presence secret 1.

Before leaving, he gives the Sword Sect his chess set. It contains immortal Qi, supports comprehension, and can deploy a killing formation beyond the ability of lower-realm cultivators to break 2.

Clear Wind City

In Clear Wind City, Ye Zichen accepts a quiet residence from City Lord Zhang Xu. He cures Zhang Lingyao’s dangerous cold condition, caused by her Ice Spirit Physique, and later eliminates seven Crimson Yang Sect disciples who threaten her 3 4 5.

When Li Hao attempts to seize the city, the conflict draws in Wu Badao and Feng Yu. Ye Zichen strips the two sect leaders of their cultivation, reveals their sects imprisoned within his palm, and annihilates the Crimson Yang Sect and Tyrant Saber Sect. Before departing, he provides Lingyao with a suitable cultivation method, arranges her admission to the Sword Sect, and rewards Zhang Xu with a Heaven Tier supreme-grade pill 7 9.

Eastern Continent Sect Assembly

On the journey to the Flawed Light Holy Land, Ye Zichen rescues Ling Yun and Xiao Feng from Demon Beasts. Their dying master, Yunyang, entrusts them to him. Ye Zichen sends Yunyang’s soul into reincarnation and subsequently awakens Xiao Feng’s Heavenly Yang Immortal Physique and memories as an Immortal Venerable 11 12.

At the assembly, Mu Yang attacks him while threatening the Sword Sect. Ye Zichen removes Mu Yang’s cultivation, destroys him beyond reincarnation, and annihilates the Danyang Holy Land with the Emperor Heaven Immortal Sword. The Sword Sect subsequently becomes the Sword Origin Holy Land. Ye Zichen attends its celebration and continues wandering until his three-year mission ends 15 16 17.

Longevity Hall and the Southern Frontier

After receiving his mission rewards, Ye Zichen is assigned to spend ten years experiencing the Weiyang Realm with the Central Continent as his base. He opens Longevity Hall in Chu Imperial City and takes in five-year-old Liao Yunxiao after a dying woman entrusts the child to him 18.

An attempted theft of his Nine-Turn Soul-Returning Pill leads him to the Southern Frontier. He punishes Black Tortoise Clan leader Xuanxiao by reducing him to the Nascent Soul Realm and recruits Long Han, whose Ancestral Dragon Bloodline interests him. At Long Han’s request, he ends the Demon Race’s internal divisions, destroys the White Tiger Clan, and orders cooperation with the Human Race 20 21 22.

Mu Lingxi and the Great Chu Imperial Dynasty

Ye Zichen trades the Nine-Turn Soul-Returning Pill and an opportunity to comprehend the immortal Dao to Chu Muyang in exchange for Great Chu’s entire Spirit Vein. While leaving the palace, he encounters Mu Lingxi and uses the Eye of the Sovereign to discover her Reincarnation Immortal Physique and ninety-nine previous lives of suffering 24 25.

He chooses to protect her remaining family rather than allow her final tribulation to leave her alone. After her grandmother dies and Lingxi’s memories awaken, he comforts her and resurrects her grandmother through an Immortal Emperor’s Imperial Decree. Sword Inquiry Grand Competition

Ye Zichen attends the Heavenly Sword Holy Land’s competition with Chu Muyang’s party. Former Holy Lord Jian Wuxin asks him for a final sword stroke to fulfill his lifelong wish. Using Wuxin’s Elegant Heart Sword, Ye Zichen restores his sword heart through a vision of Tingya and arranges for the pair to reunite in their next lives 31 33 34.

The strike produces a million-li-long dragon of Sword Qi whose dispersal blesses the Weiyang Realm. Ye Zichen gives the broken Elegant Heart Sword to Jian Changqing before returning to his everyday life 34 35.

Western Continent and the Approaching War

In the Western Continent, Ye Zichen initially watches Poison Fairy’s struggle against the Corpse King, warning her of approaching danger while allowing her to confront her own enemies. He intervenes when the Corpse King threatens her and Long Han, withstands its strongest attack, and kills it with a golden spear 37 39 42 43.

He keeps the corpse pill, gives the spear to Long Han, and clears the continent’s Corpse Qi. He also restores the devastated land and sends its dead living beings into reincarnation. Poison Fairy, Zhao Qianxue, later becomes Empress First Snow and openly credits his assistance 43 44 47.

At Chu Muyang’s birthday banquet, Ye Zichen permits Jian Ying to challenge Mo Qianren after the latter announces the Devil Race’s coming invasion. He later observes Murong Guanhai’s plan to refine Weiyang’s cultivators and seize the Heavenly Dao, allowing the preparations to continue while he remains at Longevity Hall 48 50.
