• Chen Mu joined the Devil-Expelling Alliance, fought Xilade’s forces at Great Ridge Valley, and defeated them after Taichu and the Five Elements War Soldiers helped turn the battle.
• While Chen Mu was away, Taichu and Chen Hongjie drove Lu Hai’s surprise army from the imperial capital, and Chen Mu returned to help defeat the attackers and pursue their fleeing leaders.

Chen Mu and Mingye entered the Netherworld, escaped its hunters, and built Iron Soul City into a growing settlement by defeating an undead tide and supplying weapons. They reached Nine Yama City to pursue allies, Yin Stones, and clues to Mingye’s origins, while the Yin Baleful Intent Sect continued searching for them.

• Chen Mu and Mingye entered the Netherworld through a spatial rift, where a Nether Clan elder attacked them and later ordered hunters to find them.
• Chen Mu found Mingye in a village, and together they planned to use Gao Fenghai to take control while Chen Mu sought a way to grow stronger despite his sealed dantian.
• Chen Mu and Mingye helped Iron Soul Village survive an Undead Tide, with Chen Mu killing the Skeleton King using a rune-inscribed bullet.
• Gao Fenghai pledged himself to Chen Mu, who took control of Iron Soul Village and built automated workshops that produced food, weapons, armor, and tools.

Chen Mu restored Iron Soul City, survived Chu Xuanzi’s attack, and helped reunite Mingye with the Manju Sacred King. As the war against the Extreme Evil Imperial Court escalated, Chen Mu took command of an army while Mingye prepared to claim her place in the Netherworld.

• Yan Lianfang brought Chen Mu to Yan Hongcai, who hired him to restore the Yan Lineage’s dormant formation, and Chen Mu later repaired it before leaving for Iron Soul City.
• Chen Mu returned to Iron Soul City, defeated the Green Ghost Bandits with help from Gao Fenghai and his clones, and recruited their survivors into the city’s forces.
• Chen Mu and Mingye confronted Mo Kesha, then defended Iron Soul City from Chu Xuanzi while Chen Mu’s breakthrough and lightning tribulation unfolded.
• The Manju Sacred King arrived, recognized Mingye as her daughter, and killed Chu Xuanzi, and Mingye then agreed to return to the imperial capital with her mother.

Chen Mu helped the Manju Imperial Court survive attacks by the Supreme Evil and Asura Sacred Kings, then used food production and military campaigns to strengthen it. After Ren Changsheng captured Chen Mu in a blood formation, Chen Mu broke through to Saint Level and pulled the fallen Yin Five Elements Legion into his inner world, where they regained bodies.

• Chen Mu’s wormhole spacecraft test failed as Mingye and Lu Yi attended the Manju Sacred King’s ceremony, which the Supreme Evil Sacred King attacked in a bid to seize the Netherworld Pearl.
• Mingye’s puppet double was captured while Chen Mu helped repel the Asura forces, and the Manju Sacred King recovered Mingye before Luo Nianhan challenged her for the Netherworld Pearl.
• Chen Mu and Mingye looted the Extreme Evil palace treasury, then warned the Manju Sacred King of an undead threat and helped her escape Wu Qianqiu and the Asura Sacred King.
• Chen Mu brought the Manju Sacred King back to her palace, where she used the Nether Rebirth Grand Formation to repel the Asura Sacred King and Ren Changsheng.
• Chen Mu showed the Manju Sacred King his food synthesizers and expanded production, while Ren Changsheng tried to stop people from fleeing to the Manju Imperial Court for grain.
• Chen Mu led the Yin Five Elements and Rushing Thunder Legions and hundreds of thousands of bandits to seize four royal-city territories, then defeated Dugu He’s attack at Zemeng City.
• Wu Qianqiu trapped Chen Mu in the Blood God Lure Great Formation, and Shi Xing and the Yin Five Elements Legion sacrificed themselves to break it open as Ren Changsheng struck Chen Mu from behind.
• Chen Mu escaped, gathered the legion members’ souls, broke through to Saint Level, and trapped Wu Qianqiu in the Eight Gates Blazing Sun Formation, while Shi Xing and the others regained bodies in Chen Mu’s inner world.
