Arc 1A Foothold in the Life Realm

Redding established the Four Divine Beasts on Crimson Island and sent his Lightning and Life Divine Clones, under the alias Leijia, to seek a foothold in another Overgod Plane. Leijia reached the Life Divine Realm, joined the Heavenly Wind Tribe, and became its deputy chief after advancing to Highgod.

  • Redding chose External Godhood, formed a Water Element Divine Clone, and trained Laius, Nemo, and Bowen until they became gods and developed more Divine Clones.
  • Laius and Bowen fought Tristan, but Redding arrived, killed him, and led the group toward the Zijing Continent, where Laius comprehended the Edict of Destruction.
  • Redding killed Frost and later the scar-faced stall owner, recovered a soul-altering Heaven and Earth Wonder, and fought Luolie and Crimson Island’s Highgod elders.
  • Redding made Luolie accept a Soul Seed and manage Crimson Island, while Laius stayed to recruit experts and collect Heaven and Earth Wonders.
  • Redding sent Leijia to find another Overgod Plane, and Leijia traveled through the Chaotic Sea to Black Kun Island, where Uhtred granted him access to the planar teleportation array.
  • Leijia chose the Life Overgod Plane, joined the Heavenly Wind Tribe, and declined a post in its guard army while accepting a tribal token.
  • Leijia broke through to Highgod after fusing most of Lightning’s fourth profound mystery, and the Heavenly Wind chief appointed him deputy chief.
  • Leijia began studying the Heavenly Wind Tribe’s Divine Beasts as Redding continued researching the Four Divine Beasts’ Combined Innate Divine Ability.
Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1Achieving Godhood

Redding achieved godhood through External Godhood and used his new Water Element Divine Clone to restrain Laius. Nemo and Bowen arrived, and Nemo’s attack failed to break Redding’s domain.

  • Redding chose External Godhood, endured the division of his soul, and formed a Divine Clone with a Water Element Divine Spark.
  • Redding merged his Saint Domain True Body into the Divine Clone and began adjusting to his human form.
  • Laius arrived and challenged Redding, who trapped the white tiger inside his God's Domain.
  • Nemo and Bowen rushed to Laius’s aid, but Nemo’s fireballs were swallowed by Redding’s water domain.

Ch. 2Four Siblings

Redding used his God Level powers to subdue his siblings and then explained the difference between divine power and their Saint Domain strength. After testing their reactions to his God's Domain, he considered how the Four Divine Beasts could become strong enough to stand among the Sovereigns.

  • Redding trapped Laius, Nemo, and Bowen in water curtains and knocked them unconscious with soul attacks before contemplating the Water Law beside them.
  • Nemo awoke after ten days and aimed a fireball at Redding, but relaxed when he explained that his Divine Clone and true body shared the same soul aura.
  • Laius and Bowen woke about a day later, and Redding told them that those below God Level were ants.
  • Redding suppressed all three siblings with his God's Domain and judged their differing defenses and resistance.
  • Redding resolved to seek at least a Mid-level Sovereign Spark, or possibly a High-level one, so he could gain a firm foothold among the Sovereigns.

Ch. 3Black Tortoise Becomes a God

After demonstrating his divine power, Redding taught the Four Divine Beasts how to comprehend the Laws, and Black Tortoise Bowen became a god. Bowen chose External Godhood and endured the painful splitting of his soul, while Redding warned Laius and Nemo to make the same choice when their turns came.

  • After Redding withdrew his God's Domain, Laius declared that he wanted to become a god, and Nemo and Bowen showed their eagerness to learn.
  • Redding explained the Laws of Earth and parts of the Laws of Wind and Fire to the three Divine Beasts over three months.
  • Bowen comprehended a Profound Mystery and became a god, prompting Laius and Nemo to vow to work harder.
  • When the Laws of the Universe offered Bowen a choice, he chose External Godhood and endured the painful splitting of his soul.
  • Redding reassured Laius that Bowen would be fine and warned Laius and Nemo not to choose Internal Godhood.

Ch. 4A Thousand Years Drift By

Over a thousand years, the Four Divine Beasts advanced their cultivation after Bowen became a god, while Redding remained in seclusion. Bowen and Laius sparred in the Skyrite Mountains and waited for Redding to emerge, which he had promised to do within six years.

  • Bowen became an Earth Element god, awakened his Black Tortoise defensive Innate Divine Ability, and impressed Redding, Laius, and Nemo.
  • Less than a hundred days later, Nemo and Laius became gods after Redding explained the Profound Mysteries of the laws.
  • Over the next thousand years, Redding advanced in Water, Lightning, and Life, while Laius, Bowen, and Nemo developed additional Divine Clones and reached higher levels.
  • Bowen and Laius sparred above the Skyrite Mountains, and Laius sent Bowen's hammer strike flying after Bowen shattered his wind blades.
  • Laius asked when Redding would leave seclusion, and Bowen said Redding would emerge within six years.

Ch. 5A Formidable Enemy Attacks

Tristan attacked Laius in the Skyrite Mountains after advancing to Highgod, but Laius’s powerful Laws of Wind kept him wary. As Tristan launched another strike, Laius revealed that he had baited him into an opening.

  • Laius confronted Tristan, who mocked him for remaining a Midgod and revealed that he had become a Highgod.
  • Tristan attacked from behind with his divine artifact claws, but Laius’s saber forced him to retreat into the shadows.
  • Laius sensed that the fight would draw Bowen and Nemo, while Tristan worried the other Divine Beasts would arrive before he could kill Laius.
  • Tristan emerged from the shadows and lunged for Laius’s chest, believing the attack would secure victory.
  • Laius smiled and told Tristan that he had finally fallen for his trap.

Ch. 6Tristan

Tristan fought Laius and Bowen in the Skyrite Mountains, but Laius’s strength and Bowen’s support drove him into retreat. As Laius closed in, Tristan swallowed a mysterious crimson fruit and prepared to fight back.

  • Laius used a gravity attack to force Tristan down and severed his arm with a blade of Qi, while Tristan retreated into the shadows and regenerated.
  • Bowen joined Laius, and the brothers worked together as Laius searched for Tristan and Bowen guarded him.
  • After more than an hour, Tristan’s divine power began to run low, so he emerged from the shadows and tried to escape.
  • Laius pursued Tristan with wind blades, cutting him as Tristan dodged and pleaded to be allowed to leave.
  • Tristan produced a crimson fruit, warned Laius one last time, then swallowed it and declared that Laius would die.

Ch. 7Dragon Roar

After eating a crimson fruit, Tristan gained a temporary surge of strength and attacked Laius and Black Tortoise Bowen, but he escaped their lethal combination by using his Innate Divine Ability. As the fruit’s power faded and Bowen’s defense collapsed, an Azure Dragon Shadow appeared just as Tristan closed in on Laius.

  • Tristan ate the crimson fruit, healed his wounds, and attacked Bowen and Laius with greatly increased speed and strength.
  • Laius and Bowen combined Bowen’s Innate Divine Ability, Seal, with Laius’s Tiger Roar, but Tristan made himself insubstantial and escaped the attack.
  • Tristan challenged Laius again as the crimson fruit’s effect weakened and Bowen’s Seal began to dissipate.
  • Bowen’s Innate Divine Ability vanished, and Tristan advanced toward Laius, threatening to dig out his Divine Spark.
  • An Azure Dragon Shadow appeared in the air as Tristan came within a hundred meters of Laius.

Ch. 8Traveling the Continent

Redding killed Tristan’s Darkness Element Highgod clone and took its High Godhead, while Tristan’s Water Element clone vowed revenge and planned to grow stronger with azure fruits. Redding and the Four Divine Beasts continued northwest toward the Zijing Continent to strengthen their souls, but a sudden cry interrupted their journey.

  • Redding appeared beside Tristan, erased his soul, and took his Darkness Element High Godhead.
  • Tristan’s Water Element Divine Clone awakened in the Infernal Realm’s Chaotic Sea and resolved to use an azure fruit to improve his strength and seek revenge.
  • Redding directed Nemo, Laius, and Bowen to travel toward the Zijing Continent so they could use its Amethyst Mountains to strengthen their souls.
  • Nemo and then Laius carried Redding and the others across the continent as the siblings cultivated during their journey.
  • A thunderous voice from nearby mountains called, “Pash, hand it over!”, interrupting Redding’s contemplation.

Ch. 9Pash

Redding and his companions watched Frost fight Pash, whom Redding suspected was the future Blood Peak Sovereign, while Laius used the battle to understand the Edict of Destruction and broke through to Midgod. As the group prepared to leave for the Zijing Continent, Frost hurled Pash toward them and turned his attention to the three Midgods.

  • Redding stopped Laius so they could watch Frost and Pash fight over their shares of a wondrous object, and recorded the battle with the Image Recording Technique.
  • Laius studied Pash's Destruction Element attacks while Redding recognized Pash as a possible future Blood Peak Sovereign.
  • Frost gained the advantage and pressured Pash to surrender his share, while Laius's Destruction Element Divine Clone comprehended the Edict of Destruction and transformed into a Midgod.
  • Redding told the group to leave for the Zijing Continent, and Laius merged his Destruction Element Divine Clone into his Saint Domain True Body.
  • Frost saw the group preparing to depart and struck Pash toward them, intending to kill the Midgods and take their Divine Sparks.

Ch. 10Slaying

Redding rescued Pash and killed Frost with his Dragon Roar and flexible sword, then claimed Frost’s Divine Spark and spatial ring. After introducing himself and his siblings to Pash, Redding explained the tradeoffs between Internal and External Godhood, and Pash resolved to focus on strengthening his Destruction Divine Clone.

  • Redding stepped in to protect Pash and used a water python to swallow Frost’s spear and lightning attack.
  • Frost fled, but Redding slowed him with Dragon Roar, beheaded him, and obliterated his soul.
  • Redding took Frost’s High Godhead and spatial ring, refined the ring, and found a rich collection of artifacts and Divine Sparks inside.
  • Redding introduced Laius, Nemo, and Bowen to Pash, who asked about Laius’s breakthrough and External Godhood.
  • Redding explained that Internal Godhood allowed faster cultivation but limited Pash to one Divine Clone, while External Godhood allowed other Laws and clones at the cost of splitting the soul.
  • Pash accepted his choice of Internal Godhood and began discussing Profound Mysteries with the Four Divine Beasts.

Ch. 11Crimson Island

Redding entered Crimson Island, paid for a ten-year token, and visited its orderly marketplace to gather information and buy a nautical chart. As he left, a sales pitch about an item that could change a person's soul presence caught his attention.

  • Redding paid a Lowgod Spark for a Crimson Island entry token and learned that fighting was forbidden on the island.
  • Redding entered the marketplace, where guards checked his token and warned him against flying or fighting.
  • Redding bought a detailed nautical chart from a Midgod stallholder for a Midgod Spark.
  • Redding stopped when he heard someone question whether a strange item that changed soul presence was worth a Midgod Spark.

Ch. 12Sea Charts and Bidding

Redding spotted a wonder that could change its user's soul signature and bid aggressively to obtain it, hoping to use it for an alternate identity. He exposed the stall owner's attempt to inflate the price and left without buying the wonder.

  • Redding saw the scar-faced Midgod demonstrate a wonder that changed his soul signature and decided he had to obtain it.
  • Redding bid one Midgod Spark, but the skinny-monkey Midgod offered one Midgod Spark and one Midgod Artifact.
  • Redding and the skinny-monkey Midgod raised their bids until Redding offered five Midgod Sparks.
  • The scar-faced stall owner secretly urged the skinny-monkey Midgod to keep raising the price so they could squeeze more from Redding.
  • Redding withdrew from the bidding, refused the stall owner's attempts to lure him back, and walked toward the market's exit.

Ch. 13Ambush

Redding deliberately baited the scarred stallholder into an ambush so he could take the man’s Heaven and Earth Wonder. After killing the four Midgods who attacked him, Redding faced the terrified stallholder, who begged for mercy and offered the wonder.

  • The scarred stallholder sent Midgod and three other Midgods after Redding to rob him of his spatial ring.
  • Redding flew away from the island and slowed down until the five pursuers surrounded him at sea.
  • The scarred stallholder demanded Redding’s belongings and ordered his men to attack.
  • Redding deflected the four Midgods’ weapons, then killed all four with his sword and soul attack in less than five breaths.
  • The scarred stallholder trembled and begged Redding to spare him, offering him the Heaven and Earth Wonder.

Ch. 14Lord of Crimson Island

Redding tracked down the scar-faced stall owner and recovered the object that could change a soul signature, while Nemo fought Wen Jie to protect their escape. The lord of Crimson Island intervened just as Nemo was about to kill Wen Jie, leaving Redding and Nemo facing the island’s ruler.

  • Redding killed the scar-faced stall owner’s Midgod Divine Clone, but discovered the owner had another clone when the spatial ring resisted his blood.
  • The scar-faced stall owner went to Wen Jie for help, and Wen Jie refused to seek revenge against Redding, whom he suspected was a Highgod.
  • Redding and Nemo found the scar-faced stall owner in Wen Jie’s courtyard, where Redding killed him and recovered the wondrous object from his ring.
  • Nemo fought Wen Jie while Redding prepared to leave, and Wen Jie kept them engaged to avoid punishment from the island lord.
  • The lord of Crimson Island arrived and deflected Nemo’s spear, saving Wen Jie from a fatal strike.

Ch. 15The Island Lord's Recruitment

Luolie tried to recruit Redding and Nemo to Crimson Island, but Redding demanded that Luolie submit and accept a Soul Seed. The demand sparked a battle, with Nemo holding off five Highgod elders as Luolie and two elders surrounded Redding.

  • Luolie summoned six Highgod elders and offered Redding and Nemo positions on Crimson Island.
  • Redding agreed to join only if Luolie submitted to him and let him plant a Soul Seed in his soul.
  • A Highgod elder attacked Redding, and Nemo intercepted him with her spear.
  • Nemo used her Fusion Profound Mysteries to fight three Highgod elders, then held off five as they joined forces.
  • Luolie declared that Redding would die on Crimson Island and thrust his divine artifact longsword at him.

Ch. 16Redding Makes His Move

Redding fought Luolie, the lord of Crimson Island, and decided to subdue him for the Four Divine Beasts’ future plans. After transforming and overpowering Luolie and the island’s two Highgod elders, Redding forced Luolie to accept a Soul Seed.

  • Luolie and two Highgod elders attacked Redding, but they could not break through his defense.
  • Redding considered bringing Luolie under his command to help build and manage a force for the Four Divine Beasts.
  • Redding completed his Dragon Transformation, struck Luolie’s sword aside, and pierced his chest with a dragon claw.
  • Redding trapped the two Highgod elders in coils of Water Element divine power as they tried to flee.
  • Redding threatened to plant a Soul Seed in Luolie or take his Divine Spark, and Luolie reluctantly agreed to the Soul Seed.

Ch. 17Leaving the Island

Redding secured control of Crimson Island and left Laius’s Destruction Divine Clone in charge while he and his siblings departed for the Zijing Continent. As they set out, Leijia disguised himself with a Heaven and Earth Wonder and began the next stage of his plan.

  • Bowen planted a Death Element Soul Seed in Luolie, who accepted Redding as his master and agreed to keep managing Crimson Island.
  • Redding ordered Luolie to keep the island’s Highgods quiet and arranged for Laius to remain as a guest elder, recruiting God Level experts and collecting Heaven and Earth Wonders.
  • Bowen gave Laius a stone token that could temporarily restrain God Level experts whose Soul Seeds he had planted.
  • Redding had Soul Seeds planted in the Highgod elders who agreed and killed two who refused, then left with his siblings for the Zijing Continent.
  • Leijia used a cicada-wing-thin wonder to change his face, watched Redding’s party depart, and flew off to begin the next step of his plan.

Ch. 18Chaotic Sea

Leijia, Redding’s alternate identity, lost his way through the seas while seeking a teleportation array and ended up in the Chaotic Sea. He reached Black Reef Island and waited for God Level traders, hoping to learn where an array was located.

  • Redding sent his Lightning and Life Divine Clones out under the alias Leijia, carrying the soul-altering Heaven and Earth Wonder to seek a foothold in other Overgod Planes.
  • After realizing he had flown from the Star Mist Sea into the Chaotic Sea, Leijia captured a Midgod and took his sea chart in exchange for letting him go.
  • Leijia followed the chart to Black Reef Island, where he planned to wait for God Level experts to gather and ask about a teleportation array.
  • God Level experts began arriving on the island, and Leijia judged that the mostly Lowgod and Midgod visitors posed little threat before returning to his cultivation.

Ch. 19First Hearing of Uhtred

At a trading fair on Black Reef Island, Leijia sought information about the Planar Teleportation Array and learned that Black Kun Island might hold the answer. Thirty years later, he and the long-bearded elder arrived near Black Kun Island, whose lord Leijia believed was the Sovereign of Destruction, Uhtred.

  • A long-bearded elder opened the trading fair by offering a purple lotus that strengthened the soul in exchange for a divine-body defense treasure or a Highgod Artifact of Material Defense.
  • Leijia traded for a few curiosities, then privately offered the elder a Highgod Artifact of Material Defense for the lotus if the elder would reveal the Planar Teleportation Array's location.
  • The elder did not know the array's location but suggested that Black Kun Island might have information and described its lord, Uhtred, as the Chaotic Sea's strongest expert.
  • Leijia recognized that Uhtred was likely the Sovereign of Destruction and decided to visit Black Kun Island.
  • Thirty years later, Leijia and the elder reached the waters near Black Kun Island after Leijia had easily dealt with powerful experts who blocked their way.

Ch. 20Uhtred

Leijia won the Hundred Battles Arena and earned a meeting with Uhtred, master of Black Kun Island, to request access to the Chaotic Sea’s planar teleportation array. He explained that his unusual strength came from fusing profound mysteries, leaving Uhtred newly informed about cultivation.

  • Leijia paid the long-bearded elder with a Highgod Artifact, received the lotus wonder, and flew toward Black Kun Island.
  • Leijia defeated his final opponent in the Hundred Battles Arena, claimed the hundred-battle championship, and collected his winnings.
  • Three days later, Uhtred met Leijia and questioned whether he was truly a Midgod after hearing of his victories.
  • Leijia requested to use the Chaotic Sea’s planar teleportation array to travel to another Overgod Plane, and Uhtred agreed that he could make one request.
  • Leijia explained to Uhtred how fusing profound mysteries of the laws increased strength, and Uhtred listened with surprise.

Ch. 21Azure Dragon vs. Black Kun

Leijia and Uhtred fought at full strength over the sea near Black Kun Island, testing Leijia’s power against Uhtred’s Destruction Element attacks. When Leijia unleashed Dragon Roar and Uhtred answered with Soul Prison, Uhtred’s Innate Divine Ability failed to affect him.

  • Uhtred challenged Leijia to a full-strength fight, and Leijia accepted despite knowing he was likely to lose.
  • Leijia struck first with his lightning-charged heavy sword, but Uhtred blocked it with his spear and inflicted a minor injury.
  • Uhtred pressed his attack, and Leijia partially transformed into a dragon to withstand the force of his spear.
  • When Uhtred thrust at Leijia’s chest, Leijia unleashed his Innate Divine Ability, Dragon Roar, slowing everything around him.
  • Uhtred revealed the shadow of his Black Kun true form and used Soul Prison, but his Innate Divine Ability failed against Leijia.

Ch. 22Life Overgod Plane

Leijia concealed the true nature of his time-controlling Dragon Roar from Uhtred, then chose the Life Overgod Plane and arrived there safely. He studied Uhtred’s maps and decided to head south toward the known God Level tribe.

  • Leijia let Uhtred believe his innate divine ability was called Absolute Slow and accepted Uhtred’s praise after their fight.
  • Uhtred showed Leijia the three teleportation arrays and gave him rough maps of the Life Overgod Plane.
  • Leijia chose the Life Overgod Plane, activated its teleportation array, and departed while Uhtred wished him well.
  • Leijia arrived in the lush Life Divine Realm and used Uhtred’s maps to identify his location near the third teleportation array.
  • Leijia chose to travel south toward the tribe Uhtred had explored, judging it safer than the unknown routes to the east, west, and north.

Ch. 23Heavenly Wind Tribe

Leijia reached the Life Divine Realm and visited the Heavenly Wind Tribe after Milo invited him to join. He refused to enter the tribe's guard army but accepted a token and learned that members had to earn merit to maintain their place.

  • Leijia detected the Heavenly Wind Tribe, where Milo approached him and invited him to join.
  • Milo told Leijia about the twelve tribes near the teleportation array and led him to the Heavenly Wind Tribe.
  • At the tribe, Milo introduced Leijia to Old Neil and asked for merit for recruiting him.
  • Old Neil offered Leijia a place in the guard army, but Leijia declined and received a tribal token instead.
  • Old Neil explained that members had to earn merit to renew their tokens every hundred years, and Leijia decided he could trade divine artifacts if needed.

Ch. 24Lightning Element Highgod

Leijia broke through from Midgod to Highgod after fusing most of the fourth profound mystery of the Lightning Element. He emerged to find the Heavenly Wind Tribe’s three Highgods waiting to congratulate him.

  • Milo brought his merits to Old Neil and told him he had hunted patrol squads from the Blazing Mountain Tribe.
  • Old Neil warned Milo to stop attacking the patrols, then mentioned that Leijia had used up his merits and might soon be forced to leave seclusion.
  • Milo offered to cover Leijia’s debt, but the Laws of the Universe descended upon Leijia’s house as he broke through to Highgod.
  • Old Neil and Milo flew toward Leijia’s house, while the Heavenly Wind Tribe’s three other Highgods arrived ahead of them.
  • Leijia emerged and revealed that he had fused most of the Lightning Element’s fourth profound mystery; the Heavenly Wind leader congratulated him and expressed surprise that he had broken through first.

Ch. 25Researching Innate Divine Abilities

Leijia became a deputy chief of the Heavenly Wind Tribe and summoned its Divine Beasts to research their bloodlines and Innate Divine Abilities, hoping to help the Four Divine Beasts recover their Combined Innate Divine Ability. The chapter ended as the Blazing Mountain Tribe's chief interrupted his training to hear a report.

  • Leijia assessed the Heavenly Wind Tribe's weak Highgods while its chief hoped Leijia could help resist the Blazing Mountain Tribe.
  • The Heavenly Wind chief made Leijia a deputy chief and provided him with a new residence and access to the tribe's resources.
  • Leijia summoned the tribe's Divine Beasts and began studying their bloodlines and Innate Divine Abilities.
  • The narration explained that Redding was researching the Four Divine Beasts' Combined Innate Divine Ability because they could no longer use it after becoming gods.
  • A Fire Element Midgod praised the Blazing Mountain chief for improving his strength, and the chief demanded that he get to the point.
