Yuzuru grew up alongside Kakashi, developed Ice Release, and learned from Sakumo, Tsunade, and other Konoha shinobi while advancing his own techniques. When Sakumo faced public blame for abandoning a dangerous mission, Yuzuru defended him by force, but the men he confronted refused to accept his version of events.

• Sakumo raised Yuzuru and Kakashi together, trained them in basic techniques, and helped them develop their skills before they entered the Academy.
• Yuzuru awakened Ice Release, trained with techniques from the Land of Water, and secretly used shadow clones to balance Academy attendance with training.
• Yuzuru created the Rasengan, taught it to Sakumo, Kakashi, Minato, and Jiraiya, and became Tsunade’s apprentice while learning medical ninjutsu and summoning.
• Yuzuru studied Water and Wood Release techniques, signed the Shikkotsu Forest contract, and continued developing Ice Release while Minato began teaching him Flying Thunder God.
• After Sakumo’s team withdrew from an A-rank mission that had become S-rank, villagers and shinobi criticized Sakumo for abandoning it.
• Yuzuru defended Sakumo, argued that the shinobi system used people as weapons, and broke the arms of two men who insulted Sakumo at a barbecue restaurant.
• When three Anbu tried to intervene, Yuzuru blocked them with ice mirrors and ice wolves, then forced the two men to kneel and apologize to Sakumo.
• The two men refused, insisting that Sakumo had abandoned the mission on his own and that they had never asked him to save them.

Yuzuru left Konoha to master Sage Mode, then returned to the Shinobi World and took control of Kirigakure to build a new order in the Land of Water. The Sea Capital began its reforms and welcomed displaced clans and survivors, while signs of trouble in Konoha suggested that Obito’s attack was approaching.

• Yuzuru left Konoha, found the hidden eagle sage land, and learned Sage Mode and advanced Lightning and Storm Release techniques.
• As the war spread, Kakashi, Rin, and Obito were caught in the conflict, after Obito was presumed dead and Rin became the Three-Tails’ vessel, Yuzuru intervened, confronted Madara, and retrieved Obito’s Sharingan.
• Yuzuru revived Rin, revealed that Obito was alive and had been manipulated by Madara, and awakened Uchiha Hikari from an ancient sealed coffin to join his cause.
• Yuzuru led Kakashi and Rin in taking Kirigakure, declared himself Mizukage, and dismantled its old military structure to establish the Sea Capital, new schools, and a reformed military.
• Yuzuru and Mei Terumi removed the Land of Water’s corrupt nobles and bandits, redistributed land, and arranged for Mei and Hikari to rescue children and slaves and bring Pakura to safety.
• Yuzuru offered the bloodline clans refuge and education in the Sea Capital, welcomed seven Chinoike Clan members, and sent Kakashi to bring Mie Uzumaki and Karin from Kusagakure.
• Mei negotiated Sunagakure’s payment and a hostage agreement, then intercepted the Sand Anbu’s attempt to kill Pakura and brought her to the Sea Capital.
• The Sea Capital Academy opened enrollment to nearly two thousand students, and Kakashi reported that security inside Konoha had suddenly tightened.

Yuzuru brought allies and the Nine-Tails from Konoha to the Sea Capital, built its government and technology, and drew more jinchūriki and children into its plans. The arc ended with Temari studying in the Sea Capital and Hinata beginning her training under Yuzuru and Uchiha Hikari.

• Yuzuru returned to Konoha with Uchiha Hikari, reunited with Sakumo and his friends, and persuaded Kurenai and Shisui to leave the village with him.
• During the Nine-Tails' attack, Yuzuru exposed Obito, defeated Konoha's leaders, and took Minato, Kushina, Naruto, Hinata, and others to the Sea Capital, where Kakashi and Rin reunited with Minato and Kushina.
• Yuzuru established the Sea Capital's government, recruited Mikoto as his secretary and Orochimaru as minister of science and technology, and helped the Land of Water develop electric railways and new institutions.
• Yuzuru brought Nonō, Kabuto, and the orphanage children to the Sea Capital, appointed Utakata a guardian and academy teacher, and began planning for future wars against Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju.
• Yuzuru captured Roshi and Yugito, forced Ōnoki to hand over Iwagakure's technique scrolls, and had Kushina seal the Yin and Yang halves of the Nine-Tails inside Sasuke and Naruto.
• Yuzuru asked Hyuga Karen to let him train Hinata, sent Tsunade a message inviting her to the Sea Capital, and recruited Yugito to its guardians despite her concerns about fighting Kumogakure.
• Mei Terumi, Zabuza, Kisame, and Kakashi brought Temari from Sunagakure to the Sea Capital, where she enrolled in school and began studying its reforms.
• Two years later, Yuzuru arranged lessons for Naruto and Sasuke, while Hinata revealed her fire and lightning chakra natures and joined Yuzuru and Uchiha Hikari for training and dinner.

Yuzuru helped Tsunade confront her fear of blood and begin training in natural energy while recruiting Konan for his plan to reshape the Shinobi World. He then attacked several hidden villages to take the tailed beasts’ chakra and returned to the Sea Capital seeking help from the remaining Jinchūriki and his allies.

• Yuzuru rescued Tsunade and Shizune from Akatsuki, brought them to the Sea Capital, and learned that Danzo had hired Akatsuki and exposed Tsunade’s fear of blood.
• Yuzuru comforted Tsunade, explained his evolving eyes and Ōtsutsuki knowledge, and asked her to choose whether to stand with him, while Tsunade remained undecided.
• Yuzuru took Tsunade around the Sea Capital and to Ten Thousand Fathom Peak, where she signed a Summoning Contract with the Panda Clan and began learning to cultivate natural energy.
• Yuzuru obtained a branch of the Ten-Tails from Nagato, brought Konan to the Sea Capital, and assigned her to help lead the new academy that would educate future generations away from shinobi life.
• Yuzuru attacked Sunagakure and Iwagakure, taking half of Shukaku’s body and half of the Four-Tails’ and Five-Tails’ chakra.
• Yuzuru devastated Kumogakure, defeated Killer B, and took the Eight-Tails’ chakra before capturing Mabui and Samui.
• Yuzuru took Fū from Takigakure after its Kage surrendered her, then returned to the Sea Capital and asked Mei Terumi and Pakura to help gather the other Jinchūriki, Naruto, Sasuke, and Kushina.
