After rescuing Kushina from Kumogakure, Uya invaded the village and fought the Third Raikage, who was presumed to have killed them both. Uya survived, returned to Konoha, and reunited with Kushina as the Second Shinobi World War ended, then sought Orochimaru’s help with his training.

• Uya rescued Kushina from the Kumogakure force, killed its surviving captain, and returned her to Konoha with Minato Namikaze and Mirei Uzumaki.
• After telling Hiruzen Sarutobi he would act alone, Uya entered Kumogakure and challenged the Third Raikage to obtain the Lightning Release Body Tempering Secret Technique’s third stage.
• Uya defeated the Third Raikage in a prolonged battle, then triggered an earthquake that buried the mountain range and led the Cloud Ninja to presume both fighters dead.
• After three months of training in the Land of Lightning, Uya returned to Konoha and learned that Kushina refused to believe he had died.
• Uya shattered his memorial and reunited with Kushina, while his return and the news of his victories spread across the Shinobi World.
• The Land of Earth and Land of Lightning made peace with the Land of Fire, ending the Second Shinobi World War, while Uya struggled to find ways to continue training.
• Uya visited Orochimaru, returned the third stage of the Lightning Release Body Tempering Secret Technique, and learned that Orochimaru wanted to discuss natural energy.

Uya killed Uchiha Kageyama after the Uchiha Clan targeted him, then traded Uchiha Rin’s Mangekyō Sharingan to Orochimaru for research and pursued his own Sage Mode. After claiming Bloody Hand’s Totsuka Blade and forging it with his other swords into a powerful new Kusanagi Sword, Uya headed toward Mount Myōboku.

• Uya agreed to help Orochimaru twice in exchange for a soul-strengthening technique and the Added-Weight Rock Technique, then mastered the technique while Uchiha Kageyama arranged for Uchiha Rin to assassinate him.
• Uya defeated Uchiha Rin’s light-based Mangekyō illusions and killed him, then took his eyes and decided to prepare before confronting the Uchiha Clan.
• Uya killed Uchiha Kageyama at Fugaku’s succession ceremony, overcame his Izanagi and Amaterasu, and challenged Hiruzen over whether he knew of Rin’s assassination attempt.
• Uya gave Orochimaru Rin’s Mangekyō Sharingan in exchange for soul-strengthening research and a Ryūchi Cave Sage Mode scroll, then studied senjutsu and visited Katsuyu in Shikkotsu Forest for another training method.
• Uya pursued Bloody Hand for the Totsuka Blade, defeated him, and sealed him inside the gourd before the blade absorbed his other two Kusanagi Swords and began forging a replacement.
• Uya learned to sense and influence natural energy, developed his own Sage Mode, and began using it to strengthen his body and pursue opening the Sixth Gate.
• The Totsuka Blade exploded after completing its fusion, leaving Uya with a golden Kusanagi Sword that could change forms and amplify his tremor power enough to devastate the surrounding mountains.
• Uya turned toward Mount Myōboku after sensing the mountain range’s unusually dense natural energy.

Uya mastered Sage Mode, stopped the Nine-Tails’ rampage, and left Konoha with Kushina so she could accept Kurama and train with his chakra. In the Land of Rain, he rescued Yahiko and Konan from Hanzo, then confronted Nagato’s Pain as Nagato revealed his plan to use the Tailed Beasts.

• Uya trained at Mount Myōboku, where he learned to store natural energy in his opened gates and cultivate a Sage Body.
• Uya returned to Konoha during the Nine-Tails’ rampage and stopped its Tailed Beast Bombs before suppressing the beast.
• After Mirei Uzumaki resealed Kushina, Uya protected her from Konoha’s leaders and left the village with her.
• Uya helped Kushina confront Kurama, who accepted her as his Jinchūriki, and trained her in Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.
• Uya and Kushina traveled to the Land of Rain after learning Hanzo was hunting Yahiko and Konan.
• Uya rescued Yahiko and Konan, then killed Hanzo with a single shockwave punch.
• Nagato sent Pain to confront Uya and revealed his plan to gather the Tailed Beasts and use a devastating weapon to impose temporary peace.

Uya took control of Amegakure, captured the Seven-Tails, and built his strength while the Third Shinobi World War battered Konoha. When Konoha sought his help, Uya joined the battlefield and defeated the One-Tail, leaving the war still underway.

• Uya split Pain’s Super Shinra Tensei with a Shockwave Slash, then chose to stay in the Land of Rain and disrupt Nagato and Madara’s plans.
• After Hanzo’s death, Uya took control of Amegakure, subdued its shinobi, and established peace while the other great villages waged war against Konoha.
• Uya trained at Mount Myōboku to strengthen his Sage Body, while Jiraiya failed to persuade him to return to Konoha.
• Uya captured the Seven-Tails, made it his Summoning Beast, and returned to Amegakure as the war spread and Konoha suffered repeated defeats.
• Tsunade came to Amegakure seeking Uya’s help, but Uya refused the offer of becoming Hokage and left to join the war on the Seven-Tails.
• Uya arrived as Shukaku overwhelmed Konoha’s forces, and the Seven-Tails fought the One-Tail while Uya met Hatake Sakumo and Kakashi.
• Uya shattered Shukaku’s Tailed Beast Bomb, defeated the One-Tail, and ordered the Seven-Tails to take its Jinchūriki.
