Engagement and Hidden Ambitions

Zhang Yong and Lu Sangning dated voluntarily for three and a half years and were scheduled to marry the month after Lu Chi returned to the Lu family. Sangning regarded him as her first love and supported him financially and emotionally. His attentive behavior convinced her that his devotion was genuine 5 8 11.

For three years of their relationship, however, Zhang Yong secretly maintained an affair with his secretary, Zou Nana. After the affair became a trending scandal, Sangning terminated the Lu Group’s partnerships with the Zhang Clan and warned other businesses that cooperating with them would mean opposing the Lu Group. Kidnapping and Arrest

Zhang Yong escalated to kidnapping Sangning and holding her in a former cold-storage room at an abandoned factory on Jing City’s northern outskirts. He blamed her refusal to forgive him for his situation and admitted that accommodating her throughout their relationship had served his plan 46 47.

Guagua revealed that he intended to record a sexual assault and use the footage to blackmail Sangning, force a marriage, gain access to her assets, and have the business ban lifted. One of his seven bodyguards was assigned to film 48.

Lu Chi located the factory, called the police, and intervened before they arrived. After acquiring beginner combat power from the System Mall, he defeated the bodyguards and overpowered Zhang Yong. Zhang Yong attempted to flee when armed police entered, but an officer knocked him down and handcuffed him 46 48 49 50.
