Morris and Dumbledore searched the ruined Gaunt family home and found a Horcrux: a ring containing the Resurrection Stone. Dumbledore was affected by the ring’s curse, and after Morris snapped him out of it, Dumbledore asked Morris to destroy it.
Morris used a skeleton worker and a Basilisk Fang to destroy the ring while secretly enslaving Voldemort's soul fragment. He obtained the damaged Resurrection Stone from Dumbledore and left for the old Black house.
Morris learned that ordinary Horcrux fragments lacked memories, unlike Tom, and wondered whether the Resurrection Stone held a power that required the other Deathly Hallows. He went to the Ministry of Magic, where Robert told him he had repaired Time-Turner No. 47 and planned to test it himself.
Morris tested the Ageless Stone and then performed a tier-five advancement ritual on Skeleton Number One, who gained a living-looking head and enormous magic reserves but few abilities. Morris left Guantou to teach him magic and went to prepare for the new school year.
Morris returned to Hogwarts, reunited with his friends, and helped Luna after Draco knocked her down on the train. After the Sorting Ceremony, Kyle served as Ravenclaw prefect and introduced Morris to the new students, while Dumbledore prepared to give his opening speech.
At the start of term, Dolores Umbridge announced that the Ministry would oversee Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts, while Dumbledore reassured students about Voldemort’s return. The next morning, Morris received his timetable and prepared to attend Umbridge’s first lesson.
Morris and Kyle discussed their plans after graduation before noticing Draco Malfoy acting strangely and hearing the others speculate about his nighttime outings. At their first Defense Against the Dark Arts class, they found Professor Dolores Umbridge had posted dozens of restrictive classroom rules.
Umbridge began teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts by assigning students to study Ministry regulations instead of practising defensive magic. After she punished Kyle for questioning the lesson, Morris decided to skip her class.
Morris visited Umbridge to ask permission to miss most upcoming Dark Magic Defence Classes and other lessons so he could focus on his Ministry research. He used a subtle mind spell to secure her approval, then encountered Draco Malfoy on the staircase.
Harry, Ron, and Morris followed Draco Malfoy to the Seventh Floor and discovered he was inside the Room of Requirement. They waited outside for him, and the hidden door finally appeared.
Harry, Ron, and Morris discovered Draco Malfoy searching the Room of Requirement for something, and they began planning to learn what he wanted. Morris later set the mystery aside to attend the Explorers' gathering, where he met Kyle, Neville, and the Weasley brothers by the Black Lake.
Morris brought the students to the Ship in a Bottle and introduced his Compendium of Basic Magic, a collection of spells he had invented. He demonstrated how practice could make a weak Chain Lightning spell much more powerful, then agreed to show the others.
Morris shared basic wandless spells with Fred, George, Neville, and Kyle, then spent two weeks researching more advanced magic. He later met Harry and Ron with Neville, who had stood up to Slytherins using his stronger magic, before Neville accidentally dropped a pot of Stinkweed.
Morris learned that Umbridge was assessing Hogwarts and restricting Defence Against the Dark Arts lessons, then watched Fred and George demonstrate their Cooling Pear. After the twins asked whether he knew Legilimency, Morris offered to teach them.
Morris agreed to teach Fred and George Legilimency after they explained they wanted to use it for an invention and to investigate a suspicious supplier. During their first practice session, Ron arrived and asked to join, leaving the brothers curious about his reasons.
Morris helped the Weasleys improve their Legilimency and witnessed Umbridge assert her new authority over Hogwarts. After receiving news that Voldemort and the Death Eaters were active and Mundungus Fletcher had been attacked, Morris expanded his undead forces, bringing his tier-three skeleton workers to fifty.
Morris increased the magic power available from his skeleton workers and went to seek Snape’s advice on brewing Felix Felicis. After meeting Luna Lovegood and reading a copy of The Quibbler, he found Harry collapsed in a corridor and prepared to help him.
Morris brought Harry to the Hospital Wing, where Madam Pomfrey found that an outside force had made him sleep. After Harry woke and described seeing through Voldemort’s eyes, he drew the old man Voldemort had been speaking to, and Morris set out to identify him.
Morris identified the old man Harry saw through Voldemort’s eyes as Salazar Slytherin and discussed whether Slytherin was still alive with Harry and Dumbledore. At dinner, Morris realized Ron was using Legilimency on Draco during their fight, before Professor McGonagall took them away.
After Ron and Draco were punished for fighting, Ron revealed that Draco had searched the Room of Requirement for a diadem and had already found one. Morris suspected the diadem might be connected to Voldemort and summoned Tom, hoping to learn more.
Morris learned that Voldemort had ordered Draco to retrieve Ravenclaw's Diadem from the Room of Requirement. After using Legilimency to uncover Draco's memories, Morris took him outside to confront him about the diadem.
Morris confronted Draco about Ravenclaw's Diadem and learned that Draco had handed it to a hooded stranger in Hogsmeade. After wiping Draco's memory, Morris went to seek Dumbledore and encountered Professor Trelawney, whose crystal ball he repaired.
Morris witnessed crystal fragments form the Deathly Hallows symbol and then Ravenclaw’s Diadem, before meeting Dumbledore to report that Draco had taken the diadem from Hogwarts. Dumbledore suspected it was a Horcrux, and they were left to decide what to do next.
