Linley reached the City of Fiends and learned how its guards and Fiend Castle operated. Seeking resources and a chance to escape Gebados, he registered for the dangerous Fiend trial and received a token for its start three days later.

• Linley arrived at the City of Fiends and observed its imposing walls and heavily armed patrols.
• Fuluo tricked Qiao Se'en into handing over a treasure fragment in exchange for a worthless map, while the guards ignored the swindle.
• Linley learned the ranks and privileges of Fiend Castle and decided that he and Bebe should join it.
• Linley registered for the trial at the black tower, paid with a Saint Realm Magic Crystal Core, and received a token for the trial outside the west gate in three days.

Linley entered the demons’ blood-colored trial grounds and survived savage beasts and hostile applicants while advancing deeper into the wasteland. On the seventh day, Bebe became a deity during a fight with three Lowgod-level beasts, and Linley prepared to face them together with his newly empowered companion.

• Linley entered the trial grounds, where he killed a scarlet python and cautiously crossed the blood-colored wasteland with Bebe.
• Linley avoided two groups of applicants and killed a peak Lowgod fire-element man who tried to take his token.
• On the seventh day, Linley fought a Redfeather Eagle, an Iron-armored Crocodile, and a Netherworld Wolf while Bebe watched anxiously.
• Bebe leaped at the Redfeather Eagle, killed it, and became a deity as the Laws of the Universe descended upon him.
• Linley welcomed Bebe’s breakthrough and said they would fight the remaining beasts together.

After passing the trial, Linley and Bebe became ordinary fiends and took missions in Gebados. Linley survived a clash with the peak Midgod Gula by awakening an Earth Element Divine Spark, and Gula left him alive, challenging him to return after reaching Midgod level.

• Bebe revealed that he could take human form after becoming a deity, then shifted back into a Shadow Mouse to perch on Linley's shoulder.
• Linley hunted exiles and beasts while training in Wind Laws, until he encountered Gula slaughtering exiles in the Western Wasteland.
• Gula attacked Linley, overwhelming his Blade of Dimension and then blasting both Linley and Bebe away.
• Linley awakened his Earth Element Divine Spark, merged his Earth Clone with his original body, and used both Wind and Earth power to withstand Gula's attacks.
• Bebe joined Linley in fighting Gula, who stopped attacking and spared Linley, telling him to return once he became a Midgod.
• Linley collapsed after Gula left and admitted that he still had a long way to go before he could challenge a peak Midgod.

After a spatial rift opened between Gebados and the Yulan Plane, exiles flooded toward Yulan while Linley waited for a safe chance to follow. The invasion devastated the southern coast, where Doehring Cowart joined the War God, the High Priest, Dylan, and Cesar as they struggled against the overwhelming attackers.

• Linley pursued a Highgod exile when a spatial rift opened across Gebados, revealing the Yulan Plane.
• Thousands of Gebados exiles rushed toward the rift, and Linley and Bebe decided to wait rather than charge through the deadly crowd.
• Exiles poured from a rift over the Yulan Continent’s southern sea and began killing residents and burning coastal settlements.
• The War God O'Brien, the High Priest, Dylan, and Cesar fought the invading exiles but were wounded and driven back by their numbers.
• Doehring Cowart arrived and used God's Domain to destroy many lower-ranked exiles, then said he had sent a message to Lord Beirut.
• Several Highgod exiles closed in on Doehring Cowart as he prepared to face them.

Linley and Bebe fought their way through the rift with the powerful Yulan native Bluefire and returned to Yulan after three years. They headed for the South Sea, where Linley saw Doehring Cowart wounded but still defending the Baruch Kingdom, and rushed to attack the exiles fighting him.

• Linley resolved to charge through the rift to protect Yulan, and Bebe insisted on going with him.
• Bluefire arrived, revealed that he was from Yulan, and offered to lead Linley and Bebe through the exile army.
• Bluefire carved a path through the exiles, while Linley and Bebe fought beside him as they entered the spatial rift.
• The three emerged in Yulan, and Bluefire led Linley toward the South Sea, where many exiles had appeared.
• Linley spotted Doehring Cowart battling several Highgod exiles in front of the Baruch Kingdom and attacked them with a Blade of Dimension.
