Previous Life and Return

Lin An originally lived on Blue Star and played Sin Abyss, spawning in Shenglin City and joining its garrison. In that timeline, the city fell to Sin Beasts, and Lin Xiao self-destructed in an attempt to take the attackers with him. Lin An eventually quit the game after becoming a wandering player. When Sin Abyss connected to reality one year after its appearance, Sin Beasts invaded Blue Star and killed him 1 10.

He awakened inside Sin Abyss as the native Lin An, the only son of Shenglin City’s ruler. The date was June 4, year 3214—roughly fifteen months before the player arrival he remembered. His player interface remained available despite his native identity 1.

Native Identity

The native Lin An had witnessed his mother’s death at the hands of a Sin Beast when he was eight. The trauma left him withdrawn, sometimes going days without speaking, and prevented him from beginning cultivation 1 7.

His family descended from the Awakened One who founded Shenglin City seven hundred years earlier. Lin An used this history to support a cover story: he claimed that his recovery and ability to identify Sin Beasts were signs of awakening. In reality, his detection came from the player system, and he knew he was not an Awakened One 2.

He is decisive when killing Sin Beasts, including those inhabiting people who can no longer be saved. He ignores the possessed guards’ pleas, but also recognizes that Zhao Tong’s recently possessed daughter remains salvageable and alerts Lin Xiao 3 5 6.

His willingness to take risks increases with his strength. He enters a valley crowded with Sin Beasts and later volunteers to face a siege alone, but prepares armor, pills, protective treasures, and escape measures. Although his initial plans include escaping Shenglin City if necessary, he increasingly invests in its defense. He helps Lin Xiao improve the family technique, gives him a comprehension-enhancing treasure, and offers himself as bait for the siege’s hidden Gold Realm beasts 1 21 37 42.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Purging Shenglin City

Lin An’s first target is Physician Liu, whose possession he detects during a meeting with Lin Xiao. Killing him secures the server’s first Sin Beast kill and first divine ability. He then persuades Lin Xiao to help him hunt infiltrators under the pretext of strengthening his awakened power 1 2.

The purge expands from seventeen personal guards to the three great families and all four garrison camps. In the eastern camp alone, he identifies 372 possessed soldiers. The executions expose the Sin Beasts publicly, convince the soldiers that no one was wrongly killed, and leave him with 1,070 attribute points after the camp inspections 3 7 10 11.

First Hunting Expedition

After reaching Black Iron Ninth Grade and demonstrating his techniques against Lin Xiao, Lin An leaves for Black Mountain with Ji Yuan, one hundred guards, and Qian Hai. The guards lure targets while Qian Hai provides emergency protection 15 16 17 18.

Several days of hunting bring his attribute-point reserve to 7,415. He returns home, perfects the family cultivation technique, and breaks into the Bronze Realm 19.

Bronze Tier Spirit Realm

Lin An enters the Spirit Realm with ten Bronze Ninth Grade guards. He directs them to locate and lure Sin Beasts, then has them use prepared pills to advance to Silver. The expedition supplies the points needed to perfect One Saber Slash and comprehend Saber Intent 27 29 32.

Near the realm’s closing time, he fights into a heavily occupied valley, expends Lin Xiao’s protective pendant, and kills its Silver Ninth Grade Purple-Patterned Poison Toad. He returns uninjured with the Heaven and Earth Spirit Crystal, then advances to Silver 34 35 36 37.

Sin Beast Siege and Aftermath

Before the siege, Lin An perfects three Gold Tier techniques and persuades Lin Xiao to let him fight alone as bait for the hidden Gold Realm attackers. He leaves the eastern gate when the assault begins on October 4, facing a horde that had gathered to approximately 180,000 beasts 42 43.

He adopts two-saber fighting and kills a thousand Silver Realm attackers within half an hour, earning more than 800,000 event points from that engagement. By the battle’s end, he has worn out eight Silver Tier sabers and receives the garrison’s formal salute 45 47.

His event earnings fund Condemnation, a Marrow-Cleansing Pill, the Cultivation Technique Furnace, and additional survival resources. He subsequently reaches Gold Second Grade and raises Condemnation to Platinum Rank 48 49 50.
