A quiet girl
Xu Fu, who was in the room at the beginning of her research, was organizing her work. To her surprise, Chaldea had provided a large amount of valuable Magecraft materials. This made her research progress quite impressive, and as her work proceeded smoothly, her mood improved.
"Hmph, that girl named Ritsuka is surprisingly generous. Is she some low-key tycoon? I'll have to get on her good side in the future."
Just as she was humming a cheerful tune, she heard the sound of something falling at the doorway, followed by a deafening explosion. The sudden noise made her hand tremble, and the solvent she had just mixed spilled onto the table.
My good mood vanished instantly, replaced by intense lingering fear.
"They won't find out so quickly and come to arrest me, will they?" Xu Fu hurriedly contacted Bai Mo outside through the master-servant contract, while quickly walking towards the wardrobe next to him, preparing to hide inside.
"Master? What's wrong? Have the soldiers come to arrest me? Should we make our escape?"
"It's nothing, it's just that something seemed to have been airdropped outside, it looked like some kind of weapon, and I shot it down to protect the workshop."
The airdrop pod in the distance was ablaze. Bai Mo's senses penetrated directly into it, revealing two humanoid beings inside, one Servant and the other an elf. Under the magnetic field perception, the structure of their bodies was clearly visible.
At the same time, the burning liquid did not appear to be fuel used in spaceflight, but rather some kind of purified ethanol.
"The enemy is still alive, but they don't seem to be power users; one is an elf, and the other Servant," Bai Mo said to Ritsuka beside him. Bai Mo didn't intend to bother Xu Fu with people of this caliber, so he let her do her own thing.
Two figures emerged from the flames. A masked Servant led out a woman covered in soot. Ritsuka carefully examined the woman's appearance. Although half of her hair was burned off, she couldn't mistake her for someone else.
"I didn't expect to make contact with the Crypter in this area so quickly. Wait, Mr. Bai Mo, you just mentioned Servant and elves?"
"Yes, that woman isn't human; her mode of existence... is somewhat like Arcueid's."
As Bai Mo spoke, that familiar voice came through the communication device in his ear.
"The only similarity is in the way we were born. Although we were both conceived by Gaia, I am far more powerful than her in every sense. If it were me, how could I have ended up in such a sorry state?"
Arcueid, what are you doing inside Chaldea?
Hearing Bai Mo's question, Arcueid pouted somewhat displeased and replied:
"I had a strange feeling before, so I went into seclusion as Crimson Moon suggested—according to them, it was the final step in advancing to the ultimate Complete Realm. But it completely missed your return time. I wish I hadn't gone."
Then there just happened to be an empty spot here, so I came over. I've come up with a super powerful killing move; you probably won't be able to beat me later, you know.
Ah, let's not talk about that anymore. Let me check the job descriptions here... Assistance, right? Leave it to me."
Arcueid put on a pair of glasses, giving him a rather intellectual look. If he had changed into a business suit, he might have been mistaken for the secretary of a foreign executive.
Olga Marie was somewhat speechless at the sudden replacement of Dr. Roman by the True Ancestor, while Da Vinci, standing to the side, seemed to enjoy watching the drama unfold.
As for Dr. Roman, all the staff of Chaldea wished him a pleasant holiday.
"Let's try to negotiate with her first. According to previous records, although we don't know why this elf came to Chaldea, based on Chaldea's psychological reports and daily assessments, Hinako Akuta is a calm, rational, easy-going, composed, and polite woman."
Da Vinci flipped through the report and relayed Hinako Akuta's information. Clearly, based on the written evidence, the possibility of communication with her was still quite high.
Although it was just shot down by Bai Mo.
"Cough cough, what's going on? Were we ambushed? Did those guys from Chaldea have an ambush?"
Hinako Akuta brushed the dust off her clothes, which were now burnt to shreds, revealing her fair, snow-white skin stained with dust. She seemed completely unconcerned about her appearance, striding confidently towards the mountain where Bai Mo was.
"Wait, Master, please be mindful of your appearance."
The masked Servant blocked Hinako Akuta's way of walking forward. Without saying a word, she casually wrapped a Magecraft woven sweater around her body and, along with the masked Saber, leaped to the doorway.
"Crypter, Ms. Hinako Akuta, I've come here to talk to you..."
"Stop talking nonsense, you pest of Chaldea. You're the last lucky one, aren't you? Hmph, I thought you'd be all smiles because you survived."
Chaldea is really cruel, isn't it? They found you a complete stranger as a partner and sent Lostbelt like that."
Just as Bai Mo was about to negotiate, he was immediately interrupted by Hinako Akuta. This woman, who was calm, rational, easy-going, and polite in her report, was now like a hot-tempered man who had drunk three bowls of baijiu.
Hinako Akuta's gaze swept over them, and she continued coldly:
"Alright, I was originally planning to give you a proper farewell, but I'll pass now. Don't pollute my eyes. Saber, my Servant, deal with them."
Seeing this, Saber slowly drew her sword, assuming a fighting stance. Bai Mo, on the other hand, looked at Ritsuka with a puzzled expression. He didn't need to say anything; Hinako Akuta's words had already left the Chaldea members confused.
"This is completely different from what the report said. What happened to the rational, literary young woman we were promised?"
Da Vinci was quite puzzled, while Ophelia, who was standing nearby, asked to take over the communication.
"Let me talk to her. Seeing that I'm also Crypter, at least she'll listen to me for a bit."
"Are you sure? Generally speaking, elves live much longer than humans. Unless it's a true friendship, what you consider affection might not even be a fleeting moment for her."
Arcueid was not optimistic about Ophelia's choice, while Ophelia had already taken the camera device provided by Da Vinci, and soon her image appeared on the Projection.
"Jie, calm down, we're not the enemy."
"Ophelia, I was wondering why the Northern Europe disappeared. I thought you Chaldea guys were really something, but it turns out you betrayed us."
"You still have the nerve to show your face in front of me? Looks like your feelings for Wodime aren't all that great after all. Well, that's just how humans are, aren't they? Such cheap love."
"Gurgle..."
Da Vinci silently moved the Projection away. Ophelia's forehead veins bulged, and her fists clenched so tightly they cracked. This usually quiet Hinako Akuta was now as sharp-tongued as a washed-up news anchor.
