A new life, a new god
It seems I started to realize I'd gotten some things wrong. At first, I genuinely thought things were terrible, and even now I still think the position of Cupid is awful.
So, they don't want to work at all. Ultimately, everyone wants their love to be their own, not a product of some random encounter. Then, is the so-called god of love completely unnecessary for humans?
Isn't this just something that can only do terrible things?
Long ago, when Kama had just become the god of love, he was interested in everything. Whoever his arrow struck would fall in love—wasn't that fascinating?
Even his own father, Brahma Kama, aimed his arrows at him.
Soon, he realized something was wrong. As the goddess of love, he was still under the control of the gods. Many times, the gods also needed love as an invisible weapon to accomplish certain things.
Soon, the knife encountered the rock that could shatter it.
In an instant, Shiva's flames consumed him, leaving nothing but nothingness. Thus, Kama began to genuinely loathe Eros, loathe the authority that caused this outcome, loathe everything related to Shiva, and loathe himself.
"Although the days of decadence were enjoyable, I always felt like something was missing..."
At first, Kama was quite happy to no longer fulfill his duties as the god of love and to be free from those annoying things. But gradually, Kama realized that as a god, after losing the role of [the god of love], he seemed to have nothing else.
Kama, the god of love—if not the god of love, then what am I?
Now, having learned what Bai Mo intended to do, Kama felt like a person stranded on a deserted island who had spotted a ship.
Cupid and all that, none of that matters anymore, forget about it.
Everything in the past may just be a prologue; I can start anew.
Kama felt a warm current flowing through his veins for the first time in a long time; this must be what is called drive!
"It's rare to see you like this." Bai Mo couldn't help but tease Kama, who was full of interest. Kama looked like a college student facing an interviewer for the first time, a little awkward.
Fortunately, this matter can be easily glossed over! Thank you so much for the Master who possesses the power of mind reading but doesn't know how to use it; that's true respect for privacy!
"Well, I'm just annoyed. Why did you have to ask that guy when you could have asked me? At least he can talk to the Father God."
In short, none of that is necessary. Let me help you catch up on your studies. Come on, let me explain it to you in detail.
Kama pulled Bai Mo to sit down and then began his explanation. Although his language was a bit disorganized, he managed to get to the point. After he finished, Kama fidgeted with his hair and looked at Bai Mo shyly.
"Don't look at me like that, it's weird."
"Tsk, that's the kind of look that most easily evokes a man's protective instincts, and you weren't even moved by it, which makes me feel a little defeated." Kama said somewhat aggrievedly, then ran to Bai Mo's side, placed his hands on his shoulders, and said:
"Oh dear, I'm just stating the pros and cons for you. Creating a god is troublesome in every sense, but creating an aspect of an existing god is much simpler."
Kama seemed indifferent, got up and walked away, but his restless little hands kept making various small movements.
"Okay, okay, I know you really want a side profile, I'll consider that."
"No, no! Why did you come to that conclusion? You didn't read my mind, did you? You promised you wouldn't do that, you wicked thing!"
"You don't need mind reading to see that, and what you're saying is tantamount to admitting it, you stupid goddess."
Kama realized that her words had indeed revealed her true feelings. She blushed and then grabbed Bai Mo's arm in a self-destructive manner, but before she could say anything, Bai Mo flicked her forehead.
"There's no point in telling me this. You'd be better off proving yourself. You still have a few days, Kama and prove yourself."
"Ugh... I get it, hmph, don't underestimate me just because I've only worked as Cupid before!"
He made the statement with great momentum, but then realized that Bai Mo hadn't yet clarified which god he planned to create. Bai Mo flipped through the myths in his hand and then pointed to a few examples.
"Like Isis in Egyptian mythology and Shahrevar in Persian mythology—protectors of the oppressed."
Kama left excitedly, and Bai Mo sat in the room, watching her full of energy, a gratified smile appearing on his lips.
He carefully considered the procedure given by Krishna.
There are three requirements: First, it requires the permission of the creator Brahma and sufficient asceticism. Second, it requires the witness and approval of the gods. Third, its birth must be to make up for the defects of the world.
When Krishna learned of Bai Mo's plan, he wholeheartedly agreed.
"This is an act in accordance with the Dharma, and you are taking this opportunity to accomplish it. You don't need to worry; if you want to create such a deity, Vishnu will surely come to your aid."
The only thing to worry about... is probably Mahadeva.
Recalling their words, Bai Mo shook his head helplessly. In his mind, Shi asked, "Are you sure Kama can handle this? Is it really a good idea to entrust this kind of thing to her?"
"You only truly appreciate what you've lost once," Bai Mo replied. Shi, hearing this, said no more, but added jokingly, "Bai Mo, sometimes I wonder if you're actually very lucky, but it's all reflected in the people around you."
He stretched out his fingers, as if counting them.
Anastasia is now effectively in the position of Empress, though she holds little real power. Ortlinde has risen from the lowest-ranking Valkyrie to Chief. Xu Fu no longer needs to worry about the Qin Shi Huang's punishment; now, Kama...
No wonder you're so popular with girls!
Upon hearing this, Bai Mo's lips twitched.
"I only played a supporting role; it was they themselves who truly moved forward. If I had to pinpoint the real change..."
Bai Mo shook his head and said nothing more. He looked at the Yuga Clock in his hand, which kept ticking like the wheel of time. He was being pressured by the gods from the outside and preparing for something big from within.
"We still need to make some preparations. This time the impact will be huge; it wouldn't be surprising if Arjuna himself descended upon us."
As he spoke, the Magnetic Field Power in Bai Mo's hands surged, and the surrounding vessels were constantly changing, being carved with strange and gorgeous patterns. On one of them, a tall warrior raised his sword, the blade pointing at a kneeling figure, and behind the warrior stood a majestic deity.
