In New Darlington, after Caster settled Knocknarea, Ritsuka kept pestering him with questions. Ritsuka was also very curious about what Caster, this seemingly carefree Child of Prophecy, truly dreamed of.
Having run out of options with Ritsuka, Caster could only whisper to Ritsuka somewhat embarrassedly:
"I'll just tell you this: actually... my dream is to become a high-ranking fairy, so I can walk freely on the streets of the city."
Unlike Ash, who was raised as a princess by the Rain Clan, Caster's childhood was one of both mental and physical torment. In such an environment, she had no grand vision or desire to do great things.
Being the chosen Child of Prophecy is a death sentence, no matter how you look at it. Am I supposed to fight the entire Britain by myself? Don't be ridiculous. And what are these goblins anyway? You want me to go and save them?
Being able to live the life of a high-class fairy, eating and drinking well every day, not having to worry about being looked down upon on the street, and not having to worry about being kicked out of a restaurant—that would be enough for me.
"You absolutely mustn't tell Morgan, or she'll definitely laugh at me mercilessly."
"How could this be!" Ritsuka grabbed Caster's shoulder, her eyes even gleaming with the joy of meeting a like-minded person.
"Actually, I've been thinking that after I finish my work in Human Order, I'll open a bakery."
"Real?"
"Of course, and... now that I think about it, the life of an upper-class fairy is really not bad. Gloucester is beautiful in every way. If I became an upper-class fairy, I would use my Morgan Pound to slap those Fang Clan in the face."
"Ritsuka, with your ideas, opening a bakery will definitely get you complaints... But... it's actually quite good, isn't it? If I really become a high-level fairy, I'll give those guys who looked down on me back then a good beating!"
The two chatted about the future and dreamed of their dreams, while in the Autumn Forest, Bai Mo learned about the true mission of the Fairy of Paradise.
Are you fucking kidding me?
The wooden cup was crushed into a glittering ore in Bai Mo's hands. He stared intently at Oberon before him, took a deep breath, and said coldly:
"You mean, the so-called Fairy of Paradise are those who are tortured in this Britain, then return to the Inner Sea of the Planet to forge a holy sword with their lives and memories? Heh heh heh..."
When you get really angry, you can actually laugh.
When Oberon saw this, a hint of relief flashed in his eyes, but his face remained one of helplessness.
"There's no other way. Facing such an enemy, the Holy Sword is essential. Not to mention anything else, even for the future Cernunnos, the Holy Sword is indispensable."
"It seems you've brought me quite a bit of information. If you really are, as you say, an ally summoned by Pan-Human History, then you've been of considerable help."
Bai Mo spoke to Oberon, and as soon as he finished speaking, the teacup in Oberon's hand paused slightly.
The person before him could not possibly be an aid summoned by the Pan-Human History. From the very beginning, Oberon miscalculated; he learned of the destruction of Old Chaldea from Koyanskaya, who had arrived earlier.
Therefore, he took action to persuade Ritsuka, but the information brought by Koyanskaya was already outdated, or rather, she did not expect that Bai Mo could directly transfer and preserve an entire Lostbelt.
Almost everyone in Chaldea is still alive, so his words seem hypocritical and untrustworthy in front of Ritsuka. On the other side of the communications room, the world's most famous detective is sitting in front of the screen, analyzing all his words.
The final conclusion was this: only take half of what this moth says seriously; its words are seven parts truth and three parts falsehood, and quite a bit misleading.
However, since Ritsuka and Bai Mo got lost at the time, and we really needed a local to find Mash, we might as well make use of this guy for now.
It would be foolish to think of Ritsuka as a naive girl who can be easily deceived. Regardless of all the people she has encountered along the way, there is an avenger within her who can act freely.
That person isn't easily fooled.
In addition, the analysis was completed long ago. Because humanity has fallen from its primate position, the Counter Force is difficult to interfere with, making it impossible to summon the Pan-Human History Heroic Spirit as Oberon.
Upon hearing this, Oberon felt a sense of helplessness.
"Leaving aside my own affairs for now, Oberon will be an asset to you, and that will not change. I'm just here to give you some essential information about the necessity of the Holy Sword of the Planet."
I know you are very strong, but at this point, Cernunnos has become a formidable and enormous problem.
"Losing the divine core and becoming a divine corpse, is that considered troublesome?"
"His body is his weakest point, and given his condition, it might be simpler if he had a divine core. That bastard Beryl has crossed the line."
If it were simply concealed, it would be fine, but unfortunately, that big-nosed man is clearly prepared to provoke Cernunnos at any cost. If this continues, even if you kill Cernunnos, the hatred and curses will be endless.
Such an error can only be extinguished by the Holy Sword of the Planet; otherwise, even if the physical body is destroyed, the hatred and curse within will not disappear.
"I will take your words into consideration." Bai Mo did not follow Oberon's train of thought; his gaze was fixed on the guy in front of him, making him feel uneasy.
"Alright, believe it or not, my job is done. By the way, here's some information for you: now, you'd better hurry up and take control of Camelot. It's urgent, but you don't have much time left, and neither do I."
As for the Holy Sword of the Planet... no miracles are possible. You'd better just do as I say.
Oberon, bowed to Bai Mo, and turned to leave. His figure transformed into a butterfly and drifted away, leaving only one sentence behind:
"Oh, by the way, thank you for your meddling. If you're not in a hurry, you can walk around here a bit longer and buy some local specialties to take back. And... considering that village girl knows nothing, take her with you."
Oberon's figure disappeared. Bai Mo did not try to stop him. There was no point in stopping him anyway. The person he had just communicated with was just a fabricated illusion. Only a fool would negotiate with a Magnetic Field Power user who could read minds.
"[Oberon] will be an asset to us... Does this guy have another identity?"
Bai Mo pondered for a moment, then looked up at the sky. In any case, this guy shouldn't have lied to him about the name, or rather, he didn't lie to him about that part.
If the name is acceptable, then the range of possibilities expands considerably.
He got up and walked into the forest, casually picking up some fruit. These fruits were rich in magic, making them excellent supplies for Magecraft like Ritsuka, at least much more docile than Abe, who was full of technology and ruthlessness.
He walked deeper into the forest and came to a lake where he saw a figure lying on a pile of hay. She seemed to be a Wind Clan, with long, azure hair, a petite figure, and a pair of large butterfly wings on her back.
She seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep. After checking on her and channeling some life force into her, Bai Mo left.
