Diverting Disaster Eastward
Woodwose had no intention of going to his death. He quickly made a judgment and found a way to accomplish both tasks at the same time. The Calamity of the Beast was undoubtedly lacking sufficient intelligence and was completely controlled by the Calamity mind of the Destroyer Fairy.
Although it's unclear why this guy spared the humans here, the fact that the Fang Clan was almost completely wiped out suggests that, in essence, he still behaves the same way as Mors: seeking out fairies and then killing them.
Therefore, following this logic, there is still room for maneuver.
Woodwose hoisted the Clan Bell onto his back and leaped out of the Bell-Striking Hall. He was incredibly fast; the Lung of the Planet granted him formidable physical abilities, ensuring he wouldn't be immediately entangled by the Calamity of the Beast.
Upon seeing Woodwose run away, the Calamity of the Beast let out a roar that resounded throughout the universe. Then, several black dogs the size of dinosaurs followed the Calamity of the Beast and chased after Woodwose.
But Woodwose wasn't running in the direction of Camelot as originally planned. Without stopping, he sprinted westward from Oxford toward Salisbury.
Now Aurora is satisfied. Apart from Camelot and New Darlington, all the other cities are doomed. Norwich was destroyed by the Collapse, Gloucester by the Northern Clan, Oxford by the Fang Clan, Manchester's fate is unknown, and Sheffield was long gone.
Only Salisbury remains intact, and the refugees who have come here all praise Aurora's kindness and compassion. Many even say that she is the one everyone wants and the best choice for the Queen.
Therefore, Woodwose did not hesitate to lure the Calamity of the Beast to Salisbury, so that he could escape once the Calamity of the Beast began its buffet in Salisbury.
The underlying logic of the Calamity is to eliminate fairies. Salisbury has a bunch of fairies, so the Calamity of the Beast has no reason to chase after itself.
As for Aurora, if we encounter her, I might be able to play the hero and save the day; otherwise, oh well, good luck to her.
It's the end of the world, there's nothing we can do about it.
As Woodwose thought this, his footing was so fast that it was almost a blur, with the monstrous Calamity of the Beast with crimson lightning relentlessly pursuing him. And so, this enormous, terrifying Calamity was rushing toward Salisbury, the last clan city in Britain.
Meanwhile, Bai Mo and the others also set off for Camelot.
Camelot, the last royal city of Britain, was the last city the Britain fairies had left after Morgan's departure Camelot, less than half a month prior.
In any case, in less than half a month, these shrewd individuals managed to reduce a well-established, class-divided country like Morgan to just the capital. They truly possess extraordinary skills.
Now, Queen Morgan has returned to her loyal Camelot.
As soon as they entered the gate, several well-trained troops rushed out of the city, carrying Norwich's best weapons. The leader of one of them even possessed Magnetic Field Power. However, these troops seemed to pay no attention to Bai Mo and his group, and instead began a chaotic massacre on the street.
"What are these guys doing? Why are they wasting their troops on this kind of thing?"
Bai Mo's words were filled with speechlessness; even the most insane and tyrannical ruler wouldn't act this way at a time like this. Morgan, on the other hand, shrugged and explained to the crowd:
"There are quite a few factions vying for power in Camelot. When I was here, they were relatively obedient... Well, it doesn't matter now. Let's head straight for the throne. If anyone dares to block our way, we'll just take them out."
Morgan's words were filled with chilling intent.
"No one should be able to stop us, right? Look at these guys, they're clearly completely caught up in the fighting." Ritsuka's lips twitched as she watched the scene. Camelot had practically turned into a battlefield, with fighting breaking out everywhere.
Because these guys have ruined the economy, and the external situation has also deteriorated rapidly, any shrew with a brain knows that it's time to elect someone in charge.
But Gloucester and his group, along with all the Child of Prophecy they had secretly cultivated who were qualified to sit on the throne, were all doomed.
Since that's the case, there's nothing more to say. Let's see who's the best!
"Calamity don't even need to besiege the city; these guys will just kill themselves."
Bai Mo was speechless. The next moment, Camelot beneath his feet trembled. His senses immediately surged forth like a tidal wave, and the entire situation of Camelot appeared in his mind, from the image of blood splattered on the wall in the alley to the ever-rising curse in the Great Hollow.
"That guy is coming out... The situation is bad this time. We may be facing a bunch of enemies. It will be a long war of attrition. I hope you guys got enough rest yesterday."
Bai Mo drew the Beginning and End from his hand, Ritsuka rubbed her hands together, Tristan and Mash stood behind her, and Melusine was also ready, wearing her azure armor.
"First, take control of the throne in Britain. Once I reclaim it, I can control all of Camelot. Take me there. The rest of you, please wait a moment. I may need you to take control of other buildings in Camelot."
Morgan finished speaking and then placed his hand in Bai Mo's. Bai Mo understood what he meant, and his figure disappeared instantly, rushing towards the Queen's Tower like a sharp sword.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
"Whose group is this?"
"No, that's not it. This guy is an outsider, a damn country bumpkin who dared to come into Camelot and even dared to charge straight into the Queen's Tower. He has no manners at all."
Many people actually saw Morgan's shadow, but at this point, admitting it was impossible; the rebellion had already occurred, and there was no other way but to go down this dark path.
"The leader is suspected to possess the strength of over 500,000 horses. Prepare the Demon Sword!"
The jet-black demonic sword was aimed at Bai Mo, circling again and again, its light illuminating the entire city wall of Camelot. Bai Mo looked like a bird caught in a net, a butterfly caught in a spider's web.
