Holy Maiden and Qian Xunji

Bibi Dong was Spirit Hall’s Holy Maiden and the disciple of the previous Pope, Qian Xunji. He raped her, and Qian Renxue was born as a result. Memories of him remained a source of fear, shame, and rage long after she became Pope 28 89 220.

She eventually killed Qian Xunji and devoured his body and soul, opening the Rakshasa Secret Realm. The narrative connects this event with her increasingly extreme personality. After his death, she assumed the papacy forcefully and sent Qian Renxue to the Heaven Dou Empire 220 235 297.

Her earlier romance with Yu Xiaogang also ended painfully. When he later treated her pursuit of Xiao Wu as retaliation against him, Bibi Dong rejected his interpretation and privately questioned why she had ever loved him 130.

Recruiting Yu Tianshuang

Bibi Dong initially ordered Yu Tianshuang to leave the Skywater Academy team and join Spirit Hall’s tournament team. When he refused to rely on promises about his future talent, she accepted a wager: defeating a Soul Emperor would earn him information about his parents, while losing would require him to join Spirit Hall’s team. She selected the level-68 Yun Sutao and explicitly permitted him to use lethal force 87 88.

She subsequently disclosed information about Yu Tianshuang’s family. His question about Qian Xunji’s interest in the Nine Heavens Rainbow Wind Clan’s secret technique triggered a traumatic outburst, ending their conversation 89.

During the attempt to seize Xiao Wu, Tang Hao’s intervention overwhelmed Bibi Dong’s preparations. She later accepted primary responsibility for the failure, acknowledging that she had underestimated the Great Sumeru Hammer and Ring Detonation 131 132 134.

Growing Trust and Institutional Reforms

After Yu Tianshuang brought Yu Xiaogang to Spirit City, Bibi Dong visited her former lover in confinement. His repeated demands for release and reconciliation interrupted her attempt to explain their past. She abandoned the explanation and killed him. When Yu Tianshuang responded to the news by asking whether she was all right, his concern broke through her composure and brought her to tears 149 235.

She personally helped Yu Tianshuang obtain his fifth Soul Ring and later killed the Horned Dragon King after he signaled her with a communication spider. She kept the beast’s Soul Ring and rewarded him with its Head Soul Bone 150 155 156.

Bibi Dong named Hu Liena first in line to succeed her and appointed the level-63 Yu Tianshuang to the Elder Hall. Rather than withdrawing the appointment when elders objected, she invited them to test his qualifications. She also fulfilled part of her investigative promise by questioning Qian Daoliu about his parents 168 169 171.

Founding the Spirit Hall Empire

Bibi Dong’s territorial ambitions initially competed with the need to confront the Evil Soul Masters in the Star Luo Empire. Following repeated discussions and the majority’s preference, she postponed founding an empire and attacking Heaven Dou, instead sending nearly ten thousand Soul Masters under Hu Liena against the Evil Soul Masters 234 236.

She later proclaimed the Spirit Hall Empire and appointed Hu Liena commander of its armies. When Qian Renxue returned from the Star Luo border, Bibi Dong’s anxiety over Hu Liena and Yu Tianshuang escalated into another confrontation with her daughter. After learning that Hu Liena was safe, she flew to the battlefield herself 248.

At the front, she identified the Mammon as people who could no longer be restored to humanity and argued that both the creatures and their source had to be destroyed 249.

Failed Hunt and Secret Predation

Bibi Dong hunted the Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape to obtain the final two Soul Rings she needed. She hoped those rings would let her pursue the final step toward godhood without resorting to a method she herself found repulsive 264 266.

Tang San’s intervention, concealment techniques, and the Sea God’s phantom frustrated the hunt. The phantom’s sacred power forced Bibi Dong to use Immortal Body after the Sea God Trident shattered her body. She ultimately lost the opportunity to obtain the two rings 267 268 269 271.

Back in her private space, Bibi Dong kept living Soul Masters suspended in spider silk. Despite recognizing that consuming them would make her resemble the Holy Spirit Cult, she began draining their vitality and accumulated Soul Power 272.

Betrayal and Rakshasa Inheritance

As the war centered on Jialing Pass, Bibi Dong mobilized the empire’s forces for a decisive battle. She fought alongside its defenders, but her concealed dealings with Ye Yuxuan eventually superseded her obligations to them 284 311 345.

Her betrayal became public when she cooperated with Ye Yuxuan to gather souls from fallen Mammon, Heaven Dou soldiers, and Spirit Hall Empire soldiers. She rejected Qian Renxue’s accusation that she was sacrificing the continent for godhood, insisting that she was taking the correct path 352.

Using the Death Spiral Magic Array, she absorbed the gathered souls, blocked Qian Renxue’s Angel Radiant Sun, and forced open the Gate of Inheritance. After becoming the Rakshasa God, she demanded that Qian Renxue kill Shui Bing’er in exchange for consideration of handing Spirit City over to her 353 354.

Divine Battles and Final Fate

Outside Spirit City, Bibi Dong attacked Qian Renxue after she refused the ultimatum. Her combat experience and divine weapon gave her an advantage despite Qian Renxue’s use of the Angel God Domain and the city’s Power of Faith 357 359 360.

Shui Bing’er’s return reversed the battle. Bibi Dong underestimated her divine rank and ice control, became trapped in the Ice Mirror Cold Abyss, and was nearly killed by Ice Age. Tang San’s intervention saved her from that defeat, but he then struck her aside and ordered her to withdraw 368 369 370 371.

Yu Tianshuang later offered to spare her if she ascended to the Divine Realm and left Douluo Continent. She refused to turn back, despite admitting that she owed Qian Renxue an apology. After reaching the God King Realm through soul absorption, she was pierced through the chest by Moon White. Zhong Meng intervened before Yu Tianshuang could finish her 382 383 384.

In their final confrontation, Yu Tianshuang shattered her body with a snap of his fingers after deploying his Divine Domain. He preserved her divine soul inside the Rakshasa Demon Eye, both for Qian Renxue’s sake and to free Bibi Dong from Ye Yuxuan’s control. No restoration of her physical body is documented afterward 387 388.

Bibi Dong rules through personal authority and expects obedience. She treats recruitment, appointments, and examinations as opportunities to strengthen her position, but can recognize unconventional merit: she supports Yu Tianshuang’s entry into the Elder Hall despite his realm and allows Shui Bing’er to prove her eligibility despite disliking her 87 169 217 220.

Her severity coexists with a teasing, playful side. She deliberately unsettles Yu Tianshuang during their early meetings and later jokes that his relationship with her designated successor makes him the empire’s “crown princess.” She can also acknowledge her own mistakes, as she does after underestimating Tang Hao 87 134 249.

Trauma repeatedly breaks through her composure, particularly when Qian Xunji or Qian Renxue is involved. Yu Tianshuang’s concern temporarily softens her, but her feelings for him become entangled with shame about her past and fear of rejection 89 149 220 312.

Her political ideals remain conflicted. She genuinely longs for the peaceful world Yu Tianshuang imagines, yet recognizes that unification has also served as an excuse for revenge. Ultimately, her determination to escape her suffering through godhood overrides her attachment to her followers and their shared goals 235 345 352 383.
