Origin and Inheritance

The Geng Metal Sacred Art appears in Dai Fei's mind when the Sacred Beast White Tiger chooses him as its successor in the Star Luo imperial mausoleum. Its transmission accompanies the transformation of his Evil Eye White Tiger Martial Soul into the Sacred Beast White Tiger Martial Soul 1.

The art embodies the Sacred Beast White Tiger's original power. Although the world's rules seal most of that power, it retains the pressure associated with the sacred beast's exalted status—enough for the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings' remnant souls to recognize its presence within Dai Fei 27.

Slaughter Qi Absorption

The art devours and refines slaughter Qi and killing intent to strengthen both Geng Metal Qi and Soul Power 2 3 7.

• Battlefield cultivation: Dai Fei absorbs killing intent while fighting Heaven Dou soldiers, then withdraws to refine the accumulated power 3 4.
• Extraction from remains: Slaughter Qi can be drawn from a slain opponent's corpse and incorporated into his meridians 7.
• Power beyond Soul Power level: Refining the Heaven Dou general's slaughter Qi strengthens Dai Fei's Geng Metal Qi even before his Soul Power advances 4.
• Target quality matters: Higher-level slaughter Qi offers greater benefits. Particularly vicious opponents can be valuable even without exceptionally high Soul Power 7 10.

Soul Ring Age Enhancement

The art offers two methods of increasing the age of existing Soul Rings 2.

• Absorbed slaughter Qi can be allocated to accelerate Soul Ring aging.
• Geng Metal Qi can nurture Soul Rings even without further killing.
• Dai Fei anticipates eventually reaching thousand-year, ten-thousand-year, hundred-thousand-year, and million-year ages; these are expectations, not completed upgrades in that passage 2.

Geng Metal Manipulation

Dai Fei shapes Geng Metal Qi into offensive constructs and protective barriers, while also using it to reinforce his Soul Skills 3 6.

White Tiger Slaughter is a named combat application of the Geng Metal Sacred Art, used both directly and alongside Soul Skills 3 4 23.

• Combines with White Tiger Sky-Rending Claw against the Heaven Dou Soul King general and with White Tiger Army-Breaking Kill against Soul Master bandits 4 23.
• Negates the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger's Darkness Domain suppression in conjunction with Dai Fei's superior White Tiger bloodline 30.

Soul Ring Refinement and Soul Suppression

The art controls violent Soul Ring energy and provides a means of resisting the resentment left by slain Soul Beasts 3 9 24.

• Forms golden shields around the body and barriers within the meridians during absorption 9.
• Condenses a Martial Soul Origin, described as the core of Dai Fei's soul, which manifests as a golden white tiger against invading resentment 9.
• Uses the command “soul suppression” to strengthen that manifestation and tear apart the Army-Breaking Tiger's resentment 9.
• Slices the Heavenly Fiend Tiger's violent Soul Ring energy into smaller portions for gradual absorption 24.

Dai Fei frequently invokes the art together with his Soul Skills. These skills are associated with his Sacred Beast White Tiger Martial Soul; their combined invocation does not make them separate cultivation stages of the art 3 6 8.

Limitations

• World-imposed seals: Most of the art's power is restricted by the world's rules and must be unlocked gradually as Dai Fei's level rises 26.
• Diminishing cultivation returns: Once he adapts to slaughter Qi of a given level, its effect becomes less significant, encouraging him to seek higher-level sources 7.
• Dangerous absorption remains dangerous: Powerful Soul Rings can still damage his body and meridians or threaten his consciousness despite the art's protection 9 24 31.
• Refinement takes time: Neither the opposing Immortal Herbs nor the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings' vast power can be completely suppressed or refined immediately 26 27.
• Environmental barriers have limits: The denser poisonous fog near the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well begins corroding his protective film; he must circulate the art at its limit to withstand it 25.
• Other powers remain important: Dai Fei also relies on his White Tiger bloodline, spiritual resolve, and Soul Bones when absorbing exceptionally powerful Soul Rings 9 31 45.
