Breaking Through to Highgod

Jason never expected to break through to the Highgod Highgod realm so early, nor did he expect that his own Fate Clone would be the first to achieve this. It's worth noting that Jason was the last of the six talent types to embark on the Edicts of Fate.

Jason had some insights into the Edicts of Fate recently. He initially thought it was just a normal small breakthrough, since he had been fighting a lot lately, and they were all exhilarating battles without any external interference.

During his period of enlightenment, Jason reviewed the "philosophy" from his previous life, and then, quite inexplicably, he broke through to a higher level.

"The Four Edicts are indeed known for being unfathomable, and the Edicts of Fate is the most mysterious of them all." Jason thought to himself as he arrived at a deserted area in the Blazing Sun Desert.

This breakthrough was an unexpected surprise, but Jason also knew that his Fate Clone probably wouldn't be particularly strong. There was no such thing as the Fusion Profound Mysteries the Four Edicts, but the effort he put into comprehending the laws and the degree of progress in each breakthrough were undeniable.

Jason knew very well that his Fate Clone had only broken through at a rapid pace, but if "Paragon" was taken as the benchmark, his progress in comprehending the Edicts of Fate was far behind that of his three clones: the Water Element, the Lightning Element, and the death element.

The golden glove used its palm as a sword, unleashing a divine Divine Power that shattered the surrounding space, creating Spatial Turbulence that stretched for hundreds of meters.

Jason frowned, then conjured a golden shield around him, which emitted a rainbow of light as it shone upon it.

Jason released the Deathgod Golem, its metal surface cracked in several places, making it appear somewhat broken. Under Jason's control, the Deathgod Golem hurled a Midgod Artifact, a short spear, with all its might.

The Deathgod Golem is now far less powerful than it was in its prime, barely possessing the strength of a newly ascended Four Star Fiend.

The short spear struck the golden shield, held for a moment, and was then deflected in another direction.

"Attack and defense are only at the level of Five-Star Fiend, which is not ideal."

Previously, Jason's Fate Clone was likely at the peak of the Three-Star Fiend level when fighting alone, and when teaming up with other clones, it should be able to reach the strength of a newly entered Five-Star Fiend.

Jason absorbed the several clones beside him into his Fate Clone, then drew out a blood-red longsword and Mystic Ice Sword.

It cleaved through space in succession with crimson blade light and icy sword edge, both tearing through the air for over two hundred meters.

"Using the Fate Divine Power to activate the Water Law doesn't significantly increase their power. Now, with my clones combined, they should be at the level of Six-Star Fiend. If it's Seven Star Fiend whose combat style is countered by mine, I should be able to hold them off for a while."

Then the Crystal Space opened up and, under Jason's control, continued to expand—reaching a limit of five hundred meters.

"The Crystal Space can only be activated by Water Element Divine Power. Since my soul has grown considerably stronger, the power of the Crystal Space has also increased accordingly, but only to a limited extent. It is not very effective in restricting Seven Star Fiend, and it is barely enough to deal with Six-Star Fiend."

Jason was somewhat dissatisfied, after all, his ultimate goal was to reach the Paragon realm. A clone with the strength of a Five-Star Fiend was simply not enough.

His figure transformed into a streak of light as Jason tested his speed.

The speed of a single Fate Clone is at the standard level of Five-Star Fiend. If the main body borrows the Fate Divine Power to activate the Lightning Element Profound Mysteries, its speed can reach the level of Six-Star Fiend.

Jason returned to Dragonblood Castle.

Bluefire and Adkins haven't left yet, so Jason can't return to Bloodshadow Valley for the time being.

Dragonblood Castle held a banquet to celebrate Jason's breakthrough.

"Congratulations on breaking through to the Highgod in a thousand years. You truly put us to shame." Bluefire was completely unpretentious and offered his sincere congratulations.

Adkins also offered a few words of congratulations, seemingly a little unconvinced.

"Please don't belittle me. Highgod rely on Profound Mysteries fusion. Don't you know what kind of combat power I, a Highgod who broke through in a thousand years, possess?"

Bluefire smiled and said, "There's no such thing as the Profound Mysteries fusion of the Four Edicts. Breaking through sooner or later won't have any side effects on your future cultivation. Besides, I can see that you're deliberately suppressing the breakthrough of your Water Clone in order to achieve early fusion. Once your Water Element becomes Highgod, it'll probably be no weaker than me."

The two exchanged pleasantries for a while.

Bluefire expressed his gratitude. "Many thanks to your Floating Shadow this time. The bottleneck that has troubled me for hundreds of thousands of years has recently loosened up."

Adkins also stated, "I must thank you, Your Excellency. My Light Clone has also improved. Consider it a favor I owe you. Please feel free to make any requests."

Bluefire nodded, "I will do my best to help you if you need anything in the future."

Jason hesitated, wondering if he should ask Bluefire for help in destroying the Seven Star Fiend that had recently descended from the Infernal Realm.

"Not at all. We'll be friends from now on, especially since we'll all be from the same plane when we reach the Higher Planes. We should support each other even more in the future." Jason said politely, indicating that he would ask for this favor again later.

Jason decided to wait and see. In the long run, Bluefire's favor was more valuable than a drop of Sovereign’s Might, and it would be too wasteful to waste it on a Seven Star Fiend. Especially since that guy hadn't made any moves yet. If the other party was intimidated by Beirut and didn't launch an attack until entering the Necropolis of the Gods, then Jason would be spared the trouble of taking action.

If all else fails, Jason will use a drop of Sovereign’s Might; if he can acquire the wealth of a Seven Star Fiend, he can make up for most of his losses.

After the banquet, Bluefire and Adkins left with their men.

Jason also had time to talk with his confidants.

"Dad, your breakthrough is really fast!" Monica's tone was a mix of joy, envy, and disappointment, as if she had been discouraged by Jason's cultivation speed.

"Alright, I'm your dad." Jason patted his daughter's head, not dwelling on the issue.

Looking around, he asked, "Now that things are more stable on the mainland, what are your plans?"

Tarosse Dylan exchanged a glance. "We'll leave it all to you, sir."

Currently, aside from Jason, those two are the strongest. As for Linda and the others, they have not yet refined their High Godhead.

"My remaining clones are also preparing to head to the Higher Planes. How about we go together?"

Jason stayed on the Yulan Continent hoping to befriend Linley and perhaps even try to profit from the Necropolis of the Gods.

Now that all goals have been achieved, it's time to leave, though perhaps there will be regrets once one reaches the Prefect-level.

Clear Spring asked, "What about the Yulan Continent? Are we just going to ignore it?"

"I want O'Brien and Catherine to stay behind, for a period of 100,000 years. Consider this the price I'm paying for granting them Divine Spark."

O'Brien and Catherine exchanged a glance. "Your subordinate is willing to stay behind."

For Deity-level being, 100,000 years is nothing at all.

"Also, who's willing to go to the Netherworld with me?"

Jason was naturally planning to reunite with his other two clones. If all the clones merged into one, Jason estimated that he would have strength approaching that of Seven Star Fiend, and would be able to participate in some high-risk, high-reward activities.

Ultimately, most people said they were willing to go with Jason.

"Lord Jason, I wish to undergo training in the Infernal Realm, so I will not be traveling with you," Olivier said, clasping her hands in a fist salute.

Those around Olivier seemed to want to advise her.

Only Jason expressed understanding. "It's okay, it's all voluntary."
