Background / History
Origin and the Material Dimension
The creation account describes a self-aware speck of dust whose growing mass eventually exploded, producing the original Astral Realm and billions of stars. Its surviving core developed into the Earth Mother Goddess. She created the first stars and scattered soil into the Void, fostering life and civilization. Ancient legends consequently remembered her as a foundation-builder and guardian rather than a conqueror 1209.
Her formal appointment as guardian of the Material Dimension followed the unexplained death of its previous guardian. She stabilized the resulting upheavals with the Eternity Law of Earth and her Eternity Divine Body, created the Earth Guardian class, and earned the Astral Realm Will’s recognition 1250.
Faith, Magic, and Ancient Influence
She discovered the Power of Faith, established a cultivation path around it, and became known as the Mother of Gods. She also sheltered developing races and civilizations. Late in the final battle, she revealed that she was the true creator of magical power and had secretly guided even Dale, the Magic Pioneer, during his growth 342 1311.
Her influence extended beyond the Astral Realm. During the destruction of the Truth Wizard Civilization, she wielded the Chaos Stele to smash through its realm barrier. She also recruited Angley to sabotage the Eye of Truth, later rewarding him with the first God of Wisdom’s Primordial Divine Soul and making him the new God of Wisdom 1100 1173.
The Destruction Tide and Her Grand Plan
A small Destruction Tide once erased hundreds of thousands of planes at the Astral Realm’s edge. Witnessing their destruction frightened her—not primarily for herself, but for the realm she regarded as home. After ages of research and travel, she concluded that only Third-Step Eternity could provide a barrier large enough to preserve it 1247.
Her chosen solution was to refine the entire Astral Realm into her Inner Universe. This required mastery of its three great dimensions and the suppression of the Astral Realm Will. She deliberately withdrew her stabilizing presence, allowing accumulated conflicts to erupt while the Goddess of Fate kept other Eternals occupied 1210 1257.
She treated the Spirit Saint Domain as a dangerous outside variable and leaked its chaos beacon to the aggressive Profound Arms Realm. She also gave Lancelot access to the Spirit Ruins, genuinely hoping to strengthen him while expecting his absence to last long enough for her takeover to succeed 1210 1214 1239.
Refining the Astral Realm
By withholding the Thirty-Eight Paradise Pterosaur’s bloodline power, she prevented the Lord of Time from completing his intended breakthrough. She then offered that power in exchange for his assistance against the Lord of Nightmares and ultimately secured his submission 1210 1230 1248.
After taking the Nightmare Hydra’s origin, she used the recovered Fantasy Origin to clear the Nightmares Mist, repair collapsing dimensions, and stabilize damaged planes. She persuaded the Astral Realm Will to surrender its origin as the price of surviving the coming Tide, then began converting the realm into an enclosed Inner Universe 1248 1249.
The realm’s Eternals resisted her attempt to place them under permanent rule. Her strategy was to suppress them individually until complete control of the Astral Realm made further opposition impossible. Angley strengthened her position by betraying Mystra and delivering half of the Weave 1263 1264 1290.
Final Battle and Defeat
Logo exploited her divided attention to sever one-third of the Astral Realm from her dominion. She had believed him contained in the Spirit Saint Domain and was caught unprepared by his arrival. After recovering her composure, she recognized him as an opponent whose strength, reserves, and planning exceeded her expectations 1291 1292 1293.
She fought the Lord of Truth—the ultimate trinity form associated with Logo, Lancelot, and Gustavo—with the Hammer of Earth and her accumulated authorities. Her prolonged suppression of the Astral Realm Will, compounded by repeated battle injuries, eventually depleted her foundation. An attempt to drive her opponent outside the realm failed when he anchored himself to the Spirit Saint Domain 1297 1309.
Gustavo’s burned Great Dao produced a devouring wound that prevented her recovery. When she froze the realm’s order to escape, Lancelot burned his own Great Dao to break through and cleave her body apart. The Lord of Truth then imprisoned her within the Heaven-Bearing Reincarnation Disc, whose law roots drained her origins into the Spirit Saint Domain. She fell silent while still insisting that she must lead the Astral Realm to transcend 1314.
Appearance
- Stone battle garments: Heavy, plain-looking armor whose patterns depict ancient galaxies and the Divine Realm’s Void coordinates 1209.
- Cosmic projection: A body composed of fragments of former stars, galaxy-tributary hair, black-hole event horizons for eyes, and nebula-vortex robes 1229.
- Human-sized manifestation: Jade-white skin and a plain white gown embroidered with stars, mountains, rivers, forests, deserts, and oceans. Tiny stars adorn her nails, while worlds appear as patterns on the back of her hand 1246.
- Realm-wide manifestation: Appears at an unimaginable scale wearing a crown of stars and a robe of earth, with a sea of Void beneath her feet 1248.
- Battle physique: Broad shoulders, thick arms, and a sturdy, powerful frame. Her eyes are also described as golden-brown during the final confrontation 1297 1301.
Personality
Her kindness and generosity are explicitly presented as genuine, not merely a disguise. She loves the Astral Realm’s civilizations and sincerely values promising successors such as Lancelot. Nevertheless, she accepts catastrophic suffering and the sacrifice of individual lives when she believes these are necessary for the realm’s future 1210 1239 1247 1311.
She is a patient, calculating strategist who prepares contingencies across ages. Angley considers her capable of selling out an associate without hesitation, and her treatment of him confirms her willingness to use and discard useful pieces. She demands loyalty, obedience, and usefulness from those who submit to her 1173 1248 1264.
Her composure rests on experience rather than certainty. She acknowledges that her plan may fail, recovers quickly from Logo’s unexpected intervention, and maintains her fighting spirit against an equal opponent. Once her decline becomes undeniable, she considers retreat and rebuilding rather than treating defeat as inconceivable 1235 1293 1297 1309.
Abilities & Skills
Authority over Matter and Mass
Her “earth” authority governs matter itself, reaching every material plane and underpinning her reputation as the strongest of the Astral Realm’s nine Eternals 450.
- Manipulates absolute mass and assembles star fragments into enormous attacking constructs 1251 1253.
- Summons actual star regions, complete with their mass, through the miniature galaxies of her hair 1251.
- Uses Matter: Absolute Suppression through the Chaos Stele against the Ruler of the Abyss 1258.
- Creates layered material barriers capable of stopping Blazing Sun Divine Light 1300.
- An observer-dependent mass matrix can temporarily weaken her absolute-mass authority, though it only slows her attack 1251.
Laws, Fate, and Space-Time
Her laws form a web encompassing microscopic particles, stellar movement, life, and civilization throughout the Material Dimension 1260.
- Incorporates the material universe’s timeline into this web, breaking down and assimilating time-based attacks 1260.
- Possesses a deeper understanding of fate than the Goddess of Fate, whose authority derives from her threads 1260.
- Condenses projections of the Astral Realm’s laws into individually acting attacks under unified command 1302.
- Pursues enemies with space-time spikes and creates sealing webs combining spatial law and sealing power 1307 1308.
Stars
Stars freezes the operation of rules, Daos, and laws rather than merely stopping time or solidifying space 1304.
- Locks law nodes in their current states while allowing her to act freely 1304.
- Gives her an opening to reassemble a shattered body and counterattack 1304.
- Her final escape attempt using frozen order is broken by Lancelot’s Great Dao-burning judgment strike 1314.
Stars Shatter
Developed in the Spirit Ruins, Stars Shatter combines starlight with earth origin to sever the fundamental laws supporting a soul’s existence 1304.
- Refined over ages into a trump card capable of threatening Third-Step Eternity 1304.
- Fails against the Lord of Truth because his soul has become a self-anchoring information concept beyond the Soul Rule she attacks 1306.
Stars · Doomsday
Stars · Doomsday concentrates her power into overwhelming weight rather than her usual broad combination of authorities 1308.
- Crushes matter, energy, laws, and concepts along the Hammer of Earth’s path 1308.
- Allows her to use an illusory form to let a spear pass through while committing her power to the descending hammer 1308.
- Sends the Lord of Truth toward the realm’s boundary, but fails to expel him 1309.
Magic and Elemental Transformation
She identifies herself as magical power’s true creator and hidden guide. Her mastery exceeds Dale’s, including lossless transformation among the four primordial elements 1311.
- Converts earth power into a vast sea of fire and coordinates earth, fire, water, and wind in dynamic balance 1309.
- Releases origin-bearing magma whose individual drops can burn an entire plane 1313.
- Gains the Weave’s laws of connection, transmission, coverage, and permeation, allowing matter to extend actively through network connections 1265.
Origin Absorption and Realm Refinement
She can absorb dimensional and realm origins, turning their power into her own 1248 1249.
- Uses Fantasy Origin to purify corruption and rebuild damaged dimensions 1248.
- Rewrites laws, contracts boundaries, and refines planes into an Inner Universe 1249.
- Full control remains contested: the Astral Realm Will’s instinctive resistance requires continued suppression even after its origin is absorbed 1288.
- Suppressing the Will while fighting the Lord of Truth causes a sustained drain that eventually destabilizes her foundation 1309.
Regeneration and Substitution
Her body can disperse into starlight fragments and reassemble, with individual fragments carrying power, memories, and origin 1304.
- Clears spiritual erosion and restores stability to her divine soul after a combined physical and soul exchange 1300.
- Escapes a potentially fatal throat strike by leaving a stone body while reforming elsewhere, although the wound does not completely heal 1310.
- Cannot restore her final severed body while judgment fire cuts its law connections and devouring fire consumes its healing power 1314.
