Lockhart's Valentine's Day
Hermione went to get the picture frame, William pointed his wand at Rita's head, altering her memories.
This is a technical job, and William needs to be careful; he can't be as unreliable as Tony.
Otherwise, it could cause irreversible damage to Rita's head.
Fortunately, there weren't many changes; only the part where Hermione turns into Catwoman needed to be modified.
William is an experienced driver; his hands are very steady!
Of course, he never believed that this method would be foolproof.
For true masters, Veritaserum, Legilimency, torture... with a little patience, they can always dig out those altered memories little by little.
But then another problem arises: wizards with this ability are all incredibly powerful individuals who wouldn't care about William and Hermione's little secret.
After making the changes, William left Rita behind the sofa to prevent Dumbledore from seeing her.
Rita was found by Dumbledore lying on William's sofa... No matter how you look at it, it's not a good thing.
Hermione took the picture frame, and William tapped on the Ancient Runes on it. A moment later, Dumbledore's head appeared.
"I have something to ask the professor," William said, looking at the portrait.
"What if I accidentally reveal the location of this place to a wizard... but I don't want her to ever enter this house again? What should I do?"
Does changing the Secret Keeper of the Fidelius Charm have any effect?
Rita's ability to enter the house remains a security risk, and William must eliminate this risk.
This house is like a safe house; Hermione and Anne will be living here for a long time, and he doesn't want any loopholes.
Stan Shunpike serves as a good example of how a single oversight can reveal the location of one's home.
The Wizarding World is far from as safe as people imagine, and William cannot be too cautious.
He didn't want to come home one day to find two cold corpses lying on the floor.
The portrait was immediately removed and returned more than ten minutes later.
"I told you that changing the Secret Keeper wouldn't work; any wizard who can enter the house can still enter," the portrait said softly.
"What about Memory Charm? Can I cast ' Obliviate ' to make the other person forget the location of this house?" William asked.
The portrait did not leave this time, clearly indicating that Dumbledore had anticipated William's question.
"No, this is only a temporary amnesia, but the memory is still stored deep in the brain, so the other person can still enter the house."
William frowned slightly.
The portrait said softly, "However, I told you you could try Unbreakable Vow."
"As long as you and she make a vow to forget this secret forever, the power of the vow will bind her and prevent her from entering the house again."
William immediately understood, and he smiled, "As expected of Professor Dumbledore, he's truly outstanding."
"Thank you, I think so too," Dumbledore soft smile.
What the heck?
What qualities of his own did Dumbledore pass on to his portrait?
Three days before the end of the Christmas holidays, William finally helped Hermione recover her health, turning her from a catgirl back into a human.
From a fantasy perspective, this is about shedding one's cat form to cultivate into a sorcerer.
As a result, William was quite exhausted, both physically and mentally.
The two returned to school the day before the start of the semester.
This time, instead of going through the fireplace, William used Apparition to arrive at Hogsmeade, took the girl for a walk around the streets, and then returned to the school.
William is back, so the twins can resume the sewer project, which is good news.
In the evening, a sumptuous banquet was held in the Great Hall.
Dumbledore particularly pleased; he was wearing a purple robe embroidered with large gold-threaded peonies, which made him look exceptionally alluring.
It has a bit of the Dongfang Bubai...
Professor McGonagall presented the professors with commemorative badges for the underwater Quidditch in Hawaii.
Her goal is to travel around the world on public funds before retiring... This is her thirty-sixth year in office.
The road ahead is long and arduous; McGonagall still has a long way to go!
Professor Flitwick looked quite well, clearly thriving in the dating market, after all, he was nicknamed "the evergreen tree of dating."
Snape was still wrapped in his Little Black Robe as always, looking weak and ignoring everyone.
Dumbledore to persuade Snape to drink several times, but he coldly refused each time... Alcohol would numb his senses, Snape needed to stay sober at all times.
Otherwise, he wouldn't know what anyone did to him at night.
Lockhart looked particularly happy, having drunk several bottles of Firewhisky in a tipsy manner, as if celebrating something.
Sure enough, as the banquet was drawing to a close, he stood up and announced loudly:
"I have great news to share: the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets will be completely solved by me— Lockhart —the recipient of the Order of Merlin, Third Class!"
All the students stared at Lockhart, who seemed to have gone completely mad again.
Lockhart gestured for everyone to be quiet.
He let out a burp and said loudly, "That's right, although the criminals are no longer daring to act under my intimidation."
But I... the great Lockhart, still want to resolve this matter completely and give those attacked students justice.
And I already know who the culprit is.
Lockhart's face was flushed, and he seemed to genuinely know who the attacker was.
Professor Snape chuckled to himself; he adored Lockhart... the latter always managed to amuse him unexpectedly.
Wait a minute... Snape frowned, suddenly remembering Tywin's incident two years ago.
At that time, Snape was as innocent as a little white rabbit, yet he was repeatedly taken away by the Ministry of Magic as a criminal suspect.
Did Lockhart mistake him for a criminal?
Regardless of Professor Snape's wild thoughts, Lockhart shouted again:
I will organize an event to boost everyone's morale.
You know, right now the school needs a morale boost and to erase those memories from last semester! I can't say much more right now, but I believe I have a plan in mind..."
Whether Lockhart knew the criminal's identity remains in doubt, but everyone soon learned how he boosted morale.
February 14th,
Valentine's Day.
Early in the morning, hundreds of owls flew into the Great Hall.
The owls were densely packed together, like clouds... but they were cumulonimbus clouds... A lot of feathers and droppings fell from the clouds and landed on the food.
Fortunately, William had the foresight to wave his wand and conjure a dome, leaving a clean space for the Ravenclaw dining table.
Students from many other houses crowded around Ravenclaw's table, trying to freeload off the food.
"Hurry up, everyone come over here!"
Lockhart, dressed in a bright pink robe, directed the students to decorate the Great Hall with the things the owl had brought.
Under Professor Lockhart's direction, the four walls were covered with large, dazzling pink flowers.
To make matters worse, heart-shaped confetti kept falling from the light blue ceiling.
Anyone who didn't know better would think he was going to have a wedding.
Huh, a wedding?
Snape was momentarily stunned.
Dumbledore sighed.
The two lowered their heads simultaneously, instantly losing interest.
Harmful!
These days, who doesn't have a few painful memories to look back on?
