Dahei Was Eaten by Fluffy!
The carriage arrived at a valley, and William and his two companions jumped down.
William told Fire Kiss that they were going to the territory of the Acromantula, which was clearly just a feint.
He certainly wouldn't take Hermione and Anne there.
Aragog didn't want to see William's handsome face, and William didn't want to see that old spider who didn't have many years left to live.
The plan to eliminate the Acromantula is a gradual process and is currently one of Hogwarts ' "fundamental school policies".
Otherwise, if William and Snape had colluded and tried to take advantage of each other, they would have been spotted by Professor McGonagall, the financial whiz.
They ignored them for a simple reason: the previous attack on the Forbidden Forest proved that the Acromantula was not friendly.
The Acromantula is an invasive species, and since it has no natural predators in the Forbidden Forest, its numbers have long been out of control.
Without Aragog's supervision, these guys will become even more unscrupulous.
It's even possible that they might join the Death Eaters and attack Hogwarts again.
Selling the Acromantula was just one experiment for William; after all, without buying and selling, there would be no killing.
As people become accustomed to using the magical materials from the Acromantula, the demand increases, and their population will naturally be limited.
Anne jumped off the carriage and rushed into the valley, while William and Hermione followed slowly behind.
Hermione asked in confusion, "Why didn't you let Fire Kiss come along? Haven't you always wanted to get on good terms with the Centaur?"
"Bane led the adult Centaur away from the tribe; according to Centaur custom, the foals must stay in the territory," William explained.
"Fire Kiss must have run away secretly. Her people are probably already looking for her. Letting her come with us is what caused this unnecessary misunderstanding and trouble."
Having dealt with Ronan many times, William knew him quite well.
He may want to make a deal, but he would never let his sister take his place.
Fire Kiss isn't an adult yet, and the Forbidden Forest isn't safe lately. Thunderbird aside, Dementor are still roaming around.
Most of what Fire Kiss said before was definitely nonsense.
The only real problem was that Thunderbird was missing, Bane led most of the adult Centaur to investigate. That's how she managed to steal Ronan's ring and sneak out to do her thing.
In that case, it's even more unacceptable to carry Fire Kiss.
Fire Kiss has secretly left the tribe; the Centaur may have to come out to find him.
There's always an anti-witch sentiment among them. If they happen to encounter a clueless individual who also likes Fire Kiss, they'll definitely think he's trying to abduct Fire Kiss, and then rush in, wanting to be a hero and save the damsel in distress.
Finally, if we add a melodramatic twist like "the younger one got beaten up, then the older one showed up," that would be even worse.
William, having read countless novels and been through many battles in his previous life, could predict this kind of plot.
He also suffers from intermittent mental illness and has a volatile temper. If he loses control, when Bane brings his people home, he might suddenly find... his home gone!
"So that's your reason for lying to her?" Hermione tilted her head and chuckled. "To sell her some Lockhart books."
"This is to teach her a lesson," William said matter-of-factly. "I'm not lying; I'm just imparting some life experience to her."
"What surprised me was that the Thunderbird actually left," Hermione said, puzzled.
"I'm still very confused. How did it find us? It couldn't possibly have sensed our location, could it?"
"That's what I'm also wondering about," William nodded.
He was clearly using Tom's identity; if he wanted to take revenge, he should have gone to United States.
William had a feeling that the Thunderbird wasn't Goblin Gems.
Ahhh!
Before the two could finish speaking, a piercing scream suddenly came from the valley.
William and Hermione drew their wands simultaneously and rushed inside.
Before they even reached the valley, they saw Anne running towards them in a panic.
"What's wrong, Anne?" Hermione asked warily.
"Dahei..."
What happened to Dahei?
"It... was eaten by Fluffy!"
"..."
For a moment, William was dumbfounded... Fluffy had actually eaten the Dahei?!
"Yes! Bones are scattered all over the floor," Anne cried.
"No way, Fluffy is so obedient," Hermione said weakly.
Fluffy was the first large Fantastic Beasts Hermione met. She avoided being attacked the second time she entered the Restricted Section because she had become acquainted with Fluffy.
Therefore, Hermione will definitely speak up for Fluffy, believing him to be a good dog.
But Hermione didn't know that Fluffy was actually a repeat offender. He had bitten Tywin before, causing him injury and ultimately leading to his death in the bathroom.
It was William's time loop reversal that saved Tywin's life.
Fluffy also bit Professor Snape and Quirrell.
This is a three-headed dog that has a particular fondness for biting wizards' thighs!
That seems like something that could be easily understood, since it involved eating Dahei.
The three rushed into the valley.
William looked up and scanned the area; Dahei was indeed gone.
Because he was afraid that Hagrid would run around in the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid only took Dahei for a walk once a day, and kept him in a cage the rest of the time.
The large padlock on the cage has broken.
Next to Fluffy, there was a skeleton, its flesh licked clean.
Dahei... you died such a terrible death. In your next life, please be a human, and never be a dog!
When William and his men arrived, Fluffy was still playing dead. None of the three dog heads moved; they all seemed to be asleep.
However, the smallest dog-headed creature, Sanmao, slightly raised its right eyelid, revealing a strange light.
"Hey, what's going on? Didn't I tell you to protect Dahei?!" William glared at Fluffy.
He stepped on their enormous claws and ripped open the eyelids of the middle head.
Their eyes were forcibly pried open, and the three dog heads finally opened them. Fluffy stuck out his tongue, lay on the ground, and rolled over with his soft belly, showing a fawning expression.
They're begging for snacks again.
We'll eat you alive sooner or later!
William jumped off Fluffy's head and looked down to examine the bones on the ground.
"This isn't Dahei's bone," William said, frowning.
"Look at these bones, they've been sitting here for a long time. Hagrid even came to visit Dahei yesterday."
"Whose bones are these?" Anne sobbed.
"Judging from the shape of the bones and the attached fur, it's probably Mooncalf."
The Mooncalf has four flat, Padfoot, somewhat like a duck's bill; Dahei definitely doesn't have feet like that.
Among that pile of slag were dried silver droppings. The droppings of the Mooncalf were silver.
This is Sprout's favorite fertilizer besides dragon dung, affectionately called by the professor, "Strawberry-flavored snack."
William picked up the lock from the ground again and touched the row of huge dog teeth marks.
"The skeleton belongs to the Mooncalf, so Dahei is definitely not dead. Hagrid visited it yesterday evening, so the time of its disappearance is from evening to this morning."
The lock was forced open; judging by the depth of the teeth marks, Dahei doesn't have that kind of bite force...
William pushed up his non-existent black-rimmed glasses and said seriously, "New machine, sizzle, black case!"
"The suspect dog is one of you three!" William pointed at Fluffy.
"Who secretly chewed open the lock and let Dahei go? Tell me now!"
Confess and you'll be treated leniently, or you'll rot in jail... Pshaw, I'll reward you for reporting it!
The heads in the middle and on the right didn't move, but their eyes darted to the left.
The Sanmao on the left has his eyes squeezed together like a cross-eyed chicken, practically giving himself away.
Holy crap, you think you get a reward for reporting yourself?!
"Why did you let him go?" William grabbed Sanmao's ear.
It had a shy and bashful expression, somewhat like how Mrs. Norris looked when she was alone with Bobocha.
Oh... William understands now, it's because of love!
He couldn't help but hum that popular song once again:
Azhen ~ fell in love with a gorilla~
On a night without Aqiang...
