Shen Ge survived the destruction of the Ten Thousand Souls Banner, rebuilt his body, and began living among ordinary people while pursuing cultivation. After crossing paths with Su Liuyue and curing Han Lin, he reached Linhai City and learned of a gathering of cultivators and an upcoming auction.
Shen Ge joined the Spirit Moon Sect, established his foundation, and pursued artifact refinement while confronting dangers around the South Sea. The arc ended with Mu Wan buying a defensive Law Artifact for him at auction, leaving him in her debt.
Shen Ge brought Su Sui to the Spirit Moon Sect, then joined Huang Tao’s expedition to White Bone Mountain, where a betrayal left him trapped beneath a cave abode. As Shen Ge faced the black-robed man in his mind, the Spirit Moon Sect mourned Qin Yu and Meng Yan pursued his own plans.
Shen Ge survived a soul search but suffered an injury that blocked his cultivation, and the Spirit Moon Sect failed to find a cure. After competing at the Evergreen Sect and witnessing Mo Qingyu's breakthrough, he devoted himself to mastering techniques while remaining determined to heal and pursue immortality.
Han Yu and Su Du overthrew Li Shi and founded the Phoenix Divine Dynasty, drawing Shen Ge into its defense and his renewed pursuit of Huang Tao. Su Du died protecting Han Yu, Shen Ge survived with about ten years left to live, and the Spirit Moon Sect prepared for war.
After returning at Golden Core Stage, Shen Ge avenged Mu Wan by killing Zhang Sheng and left the Spirit Moon Sect with Li Xue. He later joined Li Xue and Lü Yang in exploring the Sea Demon Sect ruins, where the three opened the Alchemy Chamber as other cultivators watched.
Shen Ge survived the Sea Demon Sect’s destruction, learned the Samsara Method, and was drawn into Bai Lili’s scheme to remake his memories and claim his heart. After Fenghuo captured him and brought him to the Luo Heaven Sea, Shen Ge rescued a merchant ship and set out toward Yaoguang Island.
Shen Ge pursued Ji Rufeng, learned how to find the Ji Household treasury, and escaped with its treasures while Fenghuo helped him fight off Tianquan Sect cultivators. As Xuanguang reached the Spirit Severing Realm and tensions spread across the cultivation world, Shen Ge headed toward Tianji Island and faced another group seeking the treasury’s contents.
Shen Ge traveled through the Outer Sea, recovered from repeated battles, and became entangled in the conflict surrounding the Source of the Deep Sea and a Demon Beast tide. As the Yaoguang Immortal Sect faced danger from the sea and the Dead Sea boat headed toward it, Shen Ge remained badly injured after fighting at the East Sea Gate.
The Demon Beast war ended as Shen Ge survived a Heart Devil Tribulation and learned that the Primordial Secret Realm was opening. He explored its depths, found a medicine garden and freed its Pixiu guardian, then returned to Yaoguang Island and reunited with his friends.
Shen Ge reunited with Su Liuyue, left the Heavenly South with his companions, and began establishing themselves in the Ancient Wilderness. Li Yuxin took Su Liuyue and Wang Yan away, leaving Shen Ge and Mo Qingyu determined to rescue them as the Myriad Stars Sect faced difficulties elsewhere.
Shen Ge entered Demonic Sword Valley, turned a captured evil demon against his enemies, and survived its pursuit with Luo Lan's intervention. After the Spirit Moon Sect dispersed over Wang Yan's death, he accepted a Thunderfire Secret Realm task from Bai Wushuang and fought robbers after collecting his payment for Luan Bird blood.
Shen Ge gathered treasures and allies in the Thunderfire Secret Realm, reunited with Li Xue, and spent thirty years preparing for his Spirit Severing breakthrough. As Shen Ge faced a terrifying final tribulation, Mo Qingyu reached Spirit Severing and other figures pursued their own paths.
Shen Ge avenged Ziyang by killing Xuanguang, then pursued a way to find Mu Wan and restore her through the Underworld and Samsara. After centuries apart, he joined forces with Bai Lili to create an underworld, but their emergence brought Heavenly Punishment and activated Li Xue’s hidden formation.
