Shen Ge rebuilt his body, joined the Spirit Moon Sect, and pursued cultivation while becoming entangled in danger across the South Sea. After a soul injury halted his progress and the sect could not heal him, he focused on mastering techniques as Han Yu prepared to stir unrest in Hundred Flowers Kingdom.
Shen Ge avenged Mu Wan, left the Spirit Moon Sect, and learned the Samsara Method while traveling through the Sea Demon Sect ruins and the Luo Heaven Sea. He found the Ji Household treasury, escaped with its treasures, and continued toward Tianji Island after confronting cultivators seeking what he had taken.
Shen Ge survived the Demon Beast tide and explored the Primordial Secret Realm before leaving the Heavenly South with his companions. In the Ancient Wilderness, Su Liuyue and Wang Yan were taken away, Wang Yan died, and Shen Ge later survived Demonic Sword Valley and took on a Thunderfire Secret Realm task.
