Background / History
Birth and Imperial Upbringing
Qin Lu lifted the newborn Qin Zheng from an enormous begonia during celestial manifestations, named him his seventh son, and proclaimed him Great Qin’s future ruler. The celebration accompanied declarations of war against the Sha Spirit Sect, Mystic Sword Sect, and Myriad Dharma Sect. Mystic Sword True Person subsequently proposed killing Qin Lu while Fairy Joy killed the infant 338.
After the Eight Immortals Sea’s unification, Qin Lu arranged an unusually comprehensive upbringing for Qin Zheng: Gai Nie became his guard and sword teacher, Flower Princess’s contract was transferred to him, and the Hidden Dragon Dao Field was prepared for his cultivation. The clan also supplied a specially bred dragon egg, a transformable Law Treasure Proto-embryo, and concealed protective measures 348.
Although described as an innate spirit physique, his Emperor Dao Body was later identified as having been nurtured through treasures and meticulous preparation, rather than arising entirely naturally 607.
During his youth, Qin Zheng observed Gu Xuanzhen teaching Qin Wu and advising Gai Nie. At the Dragon-Nurturing Pool, an ancient dragon pearl given by Mo Li awakened his Dragon Claw Hand. He subsequently formed a Natal Contract with a newly hatched four-clawed Golden-Eyed Black Dragon and named it Jintong 372 374.
King of the Northern Frontier
Qin Zheng became King Zheng, one of Great Qin’s six territorial kings. Qin Lu deliberately assigned him the difficult Northern Frontier, where dangerous snowfields and numerous Third-Tier demons would temper him for eventual imperial responsibility 401 403.
By forty-three, he had ruled the frontier for twenty years and reached Dao Foundation Seventh Layer. His campaigns included hunting Third-Tier demons with the Lulu Sword. Qin Lu also sent him the Profound Water Grotto-Heaven Ring through Qin Yingjie, whom Qin Zheng rewarded and invited to remain beside him 412 413.
Frontier development faced a cold climate, scarce food, slow population growth, and large numbers of powerful demons. Qin Zheng nevertheless established a foothold and attracted substantial support from the Meng Clan and other lineages. Despite being a favored candidate for the next imperial succession, he initially preferred governing his own territory to competing for the throne 414.
The completed Ten Thousand Li Great Wall became central to both his defenses and his cultivation. He underwent his Core Formation tribulation atop it, named his natal treasure the Fortune-Suppressing Jade Seal, and emerged as Imperial Grace 445 446.
Ice and Snow Ancestral Court
Qin Zheng sought the lost Ice and Snow Ancestral Court partly to help the Soul Frost Ghost King advance. Entering with Flower Princess, he encountered twenty-seven Demon Kings and fought nine simultaneously while Jintong and two Ghost Kings supported the battle 491 495.
After defeating the defenders, the group discovered that the entrance had vanished and continued deeper into the three-layered Spirit Ascension Secret Realm. The expedition ultimately helped secure the entire realm for the clan and assisted Lord Shuangping’s Nascent Soul breakthrough. Qin Zheng obtained thirty-three Demon Cores and commissioned artifact refiners to use them in a planned Fifth-Tier Heaven-Penetrating Spirit Treasure 498 505.
Nascent Soul and Imperial Succession
The Qin Clan treated Qin Zheng’s Nascent Soul advancement as one of its highest-priority projects. After Blood Pool preparation and his successful tribulations, he became True Lord Imperial Grace 530 537 538.
He later combined his imperial fortune with Jintong during battle against the Four-Winged Demon Emperor. Jintong broke through to Nascent Soul, and the pair overwhelmed their opponent 557.
Qin Lu subsequently redirected the imperial fortune of captive rulers Liu Ji, Li Shiming, Zhu Laosan, and Zhao Gou toward Qin Zheng. Their kingdoms were confined in secret realms, supporting his development along the Kingly Dao 572.
In Great Qin year 500, Profound Water replaced the Frost Cloud Realm’s former core Great Daos. Emperor Qin An abdicated, and Qin Zheng inherited the Tai’e Sword as Great Qin’s seventh emperor. His title, Emperor Qin Jie, commemorated the unification of the entire Frost Cloud Realm. He also became the leader of the clan’s tribute-based system, alongside Qin Lu’s lineage structure and Qin Daoran’s sect structure 596.
Immortality and Interstellar Campaigns
Qin Zheng became the clan’s second Spirit Transformation Venerable in Great Qin year 1150. He later obtained the Heaven-Reaching Sea Crystal, which strengthened both his Water Dao potential and his control over the Frost Cloud Realm 603 610.
After attaining True Immortality, he entered the Cloud Sea Immortal Domain and met Long Yuntian, conveying Qin Lu’s regards. Long Yuntian escorted him to the Divine Court for verification, and his arrival increased outside interest in the emerging Qin Humans Race 630.
He accompanied Qin Lu and Qin Daoran into Golden Crow territory disguised as Golden Crow souls, seeking revenge and Yang Dao foundations. During the ensuing operation, his Water Dao, Great Wall, and Tai’e Sword allowed him to hold Immortal Yang Que to a standstill 690 692.
More than four thousand years after becoming an immortal, Qin Zheng organized another hunting expedition, assigning himself the leading combat role. The campaign killed a scarlet insect immortal before moving against the Jade Gum Sea Dragons. He ordered the dragons’ immortal bodies preserved so their True Dragon Essence Blood could be brought to Qing Centipede 720 722.
He subsequently helped defeat the Thunder-Suppressing Race’s remaining immortals. After Qin Lu destroyed the race, Qin Zheng and his companions captured its nebula in the damaged Vast Sea Nebula Diagram and withdrew toward the Great Qin Nebula 726.
Appearance
- Black hair: Described streaming in the wind during his Core Formation tribulation 445.
- Imperial bearing: Possesses an instinctive majesty and pride from childhood rather than a deliberately cultivated display of authority 372.
- Dragon manifestation: A dragon phantom moves around his body; during his Core Formation tribulation, it emerges as a colossal dragon of purple qi 348 445.
- Living armor: Flower Princess can surround him as emerald-green armor decorated with floral reliefs 495.
- Nascent Soul manifestation: His breakthrough produces a thirty-thousand-foot water-formed imperial phantom accompanied by nine water dragons 538.
Personality
Qin Zheng combines affection toward his family with pronounced imperial pride. As a child, he was kind to Qin Clan members but appeared innately fierce and condescending to outsiders. His ambitions extended beyond Great Qin’s existing borders, which he regarded with dissatisfaction 372.
His attachment to those close to him remains strong despite his expectations of a lonely future on the throne. He treasures his father, elder brothers, Flower Princess, and Gai Nie as the pillars of his early life. When Flower Princess worries about his cultivation, he reassures her that his hardships are insignificant beside Qin Lu’s 413 490.
He takes government seriously: while others invested in his prospects for imperial succession, he prioritized governing the Northern Frontier well. Later assessments describe him as accomplished in administration, warfare, politics, and cultivation, with ambitions broad enough that he would not limit himself to the Qin Humans alone. This makes him a natural emperor and leader, but not an ideal clan patriarch 414 678.
His confidence hardens into an “invincible heart.” He approaches dangerous battles as opportunities for tempering, grows more excited under pressure, and rejects failure as a possibility. This certainty allows him to overcome his Heart Demon Tribulation 496 538.
Abilities & Skills
Emperor Dao Body
A unique physique with exceptional affinity for destiny-related Dao Laws and Kingly Qi 348.
- Continuously strengthens his body and spirit; its early dragon phantom helps absorb Dragon Qi and temper his physique 348 374.
- Responds especially strongly to purer Kingly Qi 348.

- Allows him to bear multiple Dao Laws beyond ordinary human limits; he ultimately cultivates six Great Daos 490 603.
Water Dao
Qin Zheng’s principal cultivation path combines Water Dao with sovereign authority 375.
- Documented Daos: Mystic/Profound Water, Aqua Regia/King Water, Tides, King’s Fate, and Turbid Flow; he also completes a fourth early Dao principle whose name is not specified in the supplied accounts 445 446 490 603.

- Cleaves a Third-Tier Bear Demon in two with a hundred-zhang sweep of Sword Qi 412.

- Uses the Dao of Corrosion and is accompanied by a faint dragon’s roar 374.
Physical Cultivation and Regeneration
Dragon Qi treasures, body-forging methods, Blood Pool cleansing, and his Wood Demon bloodline give him unusually strong physical foundations 374 537 538.
- Reaches the physical limit of Core Formation before attempting Nascent Soul 537.
- Shatters dozens of tribulation bolts through physical strength alone 537.
- Regenerates severe battle damage with Flower Princess’s protection and the jade seal’s support, including a shattered lower body 497.
- His own physique and Wood Demon bloodline rapidly heal burns and flesh wounds during his Nascent Soul tribulation 538.
- His soul is also among the strongest in his realm after inheriting Qin Lu’s bloodline and undergoing the Soul-Cleansing Pool 537.
Combined Combat with Jintong
Qin Zheng can merge his imperial fortune and purple qi with his Natal Spirit Beast 557.
- Their union helps Jintong advance to Nascent Soul and overwhelms the Four-Winged Demon Emperor 557.
- At Spirit Transformation, their combined power can briefly contend with Spirit Transformation Late Stage opponents 609.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
