  • Qian Xunji accepted the Rakshasa Nine Trials, killed Qian Daoliu to complete the first trial, and declared himself Pope as Gu Yue watched, and Yu Xiaogang then recovered his past-life memories and called himself Dragon God Douluo.

Ch. 32The Clear Sky Sect in Peril

After returning gravely wounded with Xiao Wu and Tang Xiao and Ah Rou’s baby, Tang Zhen tried to protect the devastated Clear Sky Sect by ordering it to withdraw and consolidate its forces. He collapsed after Tai Tan announced the Strength Clan’s defection, then looked to Tang Yuehua as the only capable direct heir to the sect’s future.

  • Tang Zhen returned to the Clear Sky Sect’s secret chamber with the unconscious Xiao Wu and a baby boy, then went to address the sect’s leaders despite his mortal injuries.
  • Tang Zhen showed the council hall an Image Recording Stone depicting Tang Hao and Tang Xiao’s battle against the sect, and ordered the Clear Sky Sect to withdraw its outlying forces and protect its weaker disciples.
  • Tai Tan declared that the Strength Clan recognized Tang Hao as its master and was leaving the Clear Sky Sect, prompting Yang Wudi to condemn him.
  • Tang Zhen erupted in anger, vomited black blood, and collapsed as those in the hall called for healers.
  • After Tang Zhen regained consciousness, he judged the remaining leaders incapable of guiding the sect and focused on Tang Yuehua as his only direct descendant with the judgment to preserve the Tang Family’s foundation.

Ch. 33Clear Sky Sect Master Tang Yuehua, God King San Reborn

Tang Zhen named Tang Yuehua acting sect master and infant Tang Chuan the Clear Sky Sect’s young master before dying, while the reincarnated God King San awakened in the baby’s body. The sect concealed Tang Zhen’s death, but Tang Xiao and Tang Hao soon began striking its outposts in retaliation.

  • Clear Sky Sect stewards blamed Tang Yuehua for the sect’s losses, insulted her, and refused to accept responsibility for ignoring Tang Zhen’s withdrawal order.
  • After the meeting, Tang Yuehua sought help from Niu Gao, Yang Wudi, and Bai He, and Bai He agreed to send guards the next morning.
  • A drugged branch-family disciple broke into Tang Yuehua’s unguarded courtyard and attacked her with his Clear Sky Hammer.

  • Bi Ji and Zi JI told Tang Yuehua they had come on Gu Yue’s orders to assist her.

Ch. 35The Prison Emperor's Wisdom

Before returning to the ancient era, Gu Yue casually instructed Di Tian to watch the Clear Sky Sect, but Di Tian mistook the order for a far-reaching plan to help Tang Yuehua take control. With Bi Ji and Zi JI backing her, Tang Yuehua seized the sect leadership and crushed the opposition.

  • Gu Yue told Di Tian to secretly monitor the Clear Sky Sect and not disturb him unless something serious happened before his consciousness returned to the ancient era.
  • Di Tian saw Tang Yuehua in danger and decided that helping her become sect master would sow conflict among humans, so he sent Bi Ji and Zi JI to protect her.
  • Tang Yuehua asked Bi Ji and Zi JI to kill the disciple who attacked her and cripple the people directing the assassination; they swiftly carried out her orders.
  • The next day, Tang Yuehua took the sect master's seat while the bodies of the attackers and plotters hung outside the council hall.
  • Tang Yuehua warned the assembled Clear Sky Sect members that anyone who defied her would meet the same fate, and the frightened opposition begged for mercy.

Ch. 36Douluo I Matters Concluded

Tang Yuehua ordered the Clear Sky Sect to withdraw and hunt Tang Hao and Tang Xiao, then accepted Zi JI’s protection token while the beast women returned to the Star Dou Great Forest. In the ancient Sea of Consciousness, Gu Yue coaxed little Gu Yuena out of her anger and taught her how to construct the restriction.

  • Tang Yuehua ordered the Clear Sky Sect to seal itself, recall its agents, and issue rewards for capturing Tang Hao and Tang Xiao.
  • Tang Yuehua asked Bi Ji and Zi JI to help capture the traitors, but they refused and Zi JI gave her a reverse scale for emergencies.
  • Tang Yuehua asked when she could see Gu Yue again, and Di Tian brought Bi Ji and Zi JI back to the Great Ferocious Land.
  • Gu Yue pinched little Gu Yuena’s cheeks, then told her a joke about a Silver Dragon King who abandoned her people for love.
  • Gu Yue explained how to construct the restriction, and little Gu Yuena took control of her body to put the method to use.

Ch. 37The Ancient Era in Progress: Beginning

Gu Yue returned to the ancient era with Ah Yin and sealed the Goddess of Life, then ordered her to restore Ah Yin to her Blue Silver Emperor form. The Goddess of Life accepted the assignment as Gu Yue prepared to protect Ah Yin from her shortened human lifespan.

  • Little Gu Yuena sealed the Goddess of Life and returned control of the body to Gu Yue.
  • Gu Yue explained to Ah Yin that they had arrived in the ancient era, when humanity had only just been born and Soul Beasts did not yet exist.
  • Gu Yue caught the Goddess of Life pretending to be unconscious, suppressed her, and forced her to address him as her lord.
  • Gu Yue ordered the Goddess of Life to turn Ah Yin back into her Blue Silver Emperor beast form.

Ch. 38Ancient Times in Progress (You Have to Believe in Science)

Gu Yue built a lightning protection tower and tested it to reassure Ah Yin that she could survive future heavenly tribulations. After leaving Ah Yin and the Goddess of Life to study how to restore Ah Yin’s true form, Gu Yue turned to planning a system of education for Soul Beasts.

  • Ah Yin panicked about being killed by her next heavenly tribulation, and Gu Yue joked that she could die and be reborn from her Seed of Life.
  • Gu Yue created a lightning protection tower and explained that it could conduct most of a tribulation’s power into the ground.
  • Gu Yue forced the Goddess of Life and the frightened Ah Yin to stand beneath the tower while she struck it with a powerful bolt of lightning.
  • Ah Yin emerged unharmed, and the Goddess of Life agreed to study how to restore Ah Yin’s true form, though the process could take a long time.
  • Gu Yue reflected that Soul Beasts needed civilization and knowledge to survive, and decided to organize nine thousand years of compulsory education.

Ch. 39Ancient Times in Progress (Daily Life)

A thousand years after Gu Yue’s injuries from the Asura God, he had recovered to God Level and continued preparing the beast race’s future while keeping the group occupied writing books. The chapter ended with Gu Yue burning the Goddess of Life’s romantic story after its heroine betrayed her people for love.

  • Gu Yue reflected on his slow recovery and his plan to strengthen the beast race without changing the later course of events.
  • Ah Yin struggled with her studies, and Gu Yue encouraged her while teasing the Goddess of Life and bantering with Little Gu Yuena.
  • Little Gu Yuena presented her “General Principles of the Way to Death,” and Gu Yue praised the summary while telling her not to make another.
  • The Goddess of Life recalled how her work with Gu Yue had changed her impression of him and shared a story she had written.
  • Gu Yue read the story’s premise, condemned its heroine for revealing her people’s defenses to their enemy, and burned the booklet as the Goddess of Life protested.

Ch. 40The Ancient Age in Progress (Laying the Groundwork)

After punishing Xiao Lu for her unfinished story, Gu Yue assessed humanity’s weakness in the ancient age and sent Ah Yin to guide a tribe without shielding it from hardship. Ah Yin set out to save a fleeing girl and establish a faith that would secretly serve Gu Yue’s plans.

  • Xiao Lu rebelled against Gu Yue over the destruction of her story, but he suppressed her power, spanked her, and criticized her tale of star-crossed lovers.
  • Gu Yue warned Xiao Lu, Ah Yin, and little Gu Yuena against being foolishly devoted to love, and Xiao Lu secretly destroyed her remaining unfinished stories.
  • Gu Yue observed primitive hunters fail to defeat a Soft Bone Rabbit and considered how humans might develop Soul Guidance Technology to survive among Soul Beasts.
  • Gu Yue told Ah Yin that humanity’s survival was its own responsibility, so long as people continued developing according to his plan.
  • Gu Yue ordered Ah Yin to rescue a fleeing girl, teach her basic meditation, and guide her in establishing a faith called the Holy Spirit Envoy; he then sent Ah Yin near the tribe.

Ch. 41Ancient Times Unfold: Holy Spirit Hall

Ah Yin gave a desperate girl Blue Silver Grass and taught her about Martial Souls and Soul Power, allowing her to protect her tribe and become the first One-Ring Soul Master. The girl founded the Holy Spirit Hall and became its first high priestess, but decades passed and she neared the end of her life.

  • Ah Yin rescued the girl from wolves, listened to her account of the tribe's hardships, and awakened the girl's Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul.
  • Ah Yin raised the girl's Soul Power to rank ten, taught her meditation, and told her that only believers in the Holy Spirit could receive its inheritance.
  • After the tribe rejected her, the girl secretly trained and later fought a beast invasion; Ah Yin helped her repel the beasts and absorb a white Soul Ring.
  • The girl became the continent's first One-Ring Soul Master, used Entanglement to crush a beast, and was made tribal chief by her worshipping clanspeople.
  • The girl led her tribe in building the Holy Spirit Hall, named herself its first high priestess, and eventually aged into a white-haired woman near death.

Ch. 42Ancient Times in Progress (End)

An aged high priestess died peacefully after Ah Yin assured her that she had created a future for her people. A thousand years later, Gu Yue prepared to enter the Time-Reversal Trajectory, leaving instructions for Ah Yin, Di Tian, and Gu Yuena as he wondered how his actions would change the future.

  • The old high priestess established a rule for choosing successors and journeyed alone to the cliff to meet Ah Yin.
  • Ah Yin told the high priestess that she had already created a future, and the old woman died peacefully at the place where they had first met.
  • A thousand years later, Gu Yue observed that humanity’s cultivation had progressed slowly and that the Holy Spirit Hall’s strongest member had reached only rank nineteen.
  • Gu Yue ordered Ah Yin to protect the Holy Spirit Hall only if its legacy was in danger, secretly copy any Soul Tools, and conceal her identity; he also sent Di Tian a reminder.
  • Gu Yue instructed Gu Yuena and Xiao Lu to use the Dragon God Core to create a small plane for intelligent Soul Beasts and teach them from their compiled materials.
  • Gu Yue activated the Time-Reversal Trajectory and sank into darkness.

Ch. 43Why Did I Travel Further Back in Time?

Gu Yue awakened in a later age with his injuries healed, only to find the timeline had moved further back than before. He learned that the Holy Spirit Hall had dwindled into seclusion and that Soul Tools had vanished, then discovered Ah Yin had been forced to cultivate from scratch.

  • Gu Yue surveyed the current age and saw Yu Xiaogang expelled from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, years before the point where he had arrived on his previous journey.
  • Gu Yue woke Ah Yin and asked about the Holy Spirit Hall; she explained that it had withdrawn from the world and dwindled to a few hundred members.
  • Ah Yin said she had never been told to collect Soul Tools, and described how ancient humans’ early Soul Tools had been wiped out by Soul Beast tides.
  • Gu Yue asked how long had passed and what had happened to Ah Yin’s cultivation; she reproached him for sleeping peacefully while she had to cultivate all over again.
  • Gu Yue questioned why Ah Yin had needed to restart her cultivation despite the lightning tower he had left behind.

Ch. 44Gang, Dong, and Ji's Trio

Gu Yue learned that only actions carried out in the past could shape later generations, while plans left as words were corrected by the timeline. After discovering that Yu Xiaogang, Bibi Dong, and a golden-haired man were acting strangely, she decided to test whether she could tamper with them before the timelines converged.

  • Ah Yin told Gu Yue that she had sacrificed her cultivation to him before a tribulation, then rebuilt it after being reborn as the Seed of Life.
  • Gu Yue learned that Ah Yin was revered as the Blue Silver Ancestor and promised to reward her contributions.
  • Gu Yuena told Gu Yue she had studied the textbooks he left behind, revealing that no small plane had ever been opened for the intelligent beast races.
  • Gu Yue concluded that only past actions, not unfulfilled plans, could influence the future, then investigated the people of the era.
  • Yu Xiaogang claimed he had been reborn after being expelled from his clan, while Bibi Dong murmured about him and a golden-haired man prayed over the failure of his grand plan.
  • Gu Yue found all three men strange and decided to experiment with changing their paths before the timelines converged.

Ch. 46Da Ji Reborn

Qian Xunji recalled how his schemes had created Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong as god candidates, only for Spirit Hall to fall despite their divine powers. As he questioned the Angel God, Gu Yue appeared and told him the goddess had died long ago.

  • Qian Xunji remembered manipulating Bibi Dong and Yu Xiaogang to awaken Bibi Dong’s evil potential and produce Qian Renxue with perfect Six-Winged Angel bloodline.
  • Qian Xunji recalled how Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong became gods, but Tang San rose from apparent death and defeated them, bringing about Spirit Hall’s destruction.
  • Qian Xunji asked the Angel God why she had abandoned her descendants, and a voice answered that she had died long ago.

  • Gu Yue told Qian Xunji that the Angel God had fallen and that Spirit Hall's destruction was fated.
  • Qian Xunji proposed cooperating with Tang San or withdrawing Spirit Hall, but Gu Yue explained that the gods would still use them as pawns.

  • Gu Yue explained the Divine Realm's hierarchy and told Qian Xunji to inherit the Rakshasa Godhood.
  • Gu Yue promised to preserve the Six-Winged Angel bloodline, while Qian Xunji questioned whether he could inherit the Rakshasa Godhood with his Angel Soul Power.

Ch. 48A Pawn

Gu Yue bound Qian Xunji to her will, ordered him to aid anyone from the Holy Spirit Hall, and changed his Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul to Ultimate Darkness so he could seek the Rakshasa Godhood. Qian Xunji entered Slaughter City and encountered its King, Tang Chen.

  • Qian Xunji accepted Gu Yue's divine restriction and pledged Spirit Hall's obedience in exchange for a chance to preserve the Six-Winged Angel bloodline.
  • Gu Yue ordered Qian Xunji to cooperate unconditionally with anyone claiming to represent the Holy Spirit Hall.
  • Gu Yue altered Qian Xunji's Martial Soul from sacred fire to Ultimate Darkness and sent him to Slaughter City to pursue the Rakshasa Godhood.
  • Qian Xunji entered Slaughter City, and Terror Knight Scott hurried to alert the King of Slaughter.
  • Tang Chen, possessed by the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King, confronted Qian Xunji and asked why the Pope had come.

Ch. 49Rakshasa Nine Trials

Qian Xunji entered the Rakshasa God’s inheritance site and endured her trial, convincing her to grant him the Rakshasa Nine Trials. His First Trial required him to devour the body and soul of the only other person with a Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul.

  • Qian Xunji ignored the King of Slaughter and entered the Rakshasa inheritance site, revealing that his Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul carried Ultimate Darkness.
  • The Rakshasa God hesitated over whether to accept an Angel God descendant, then tested Qian Xunji with a torrent of evil thoughts.
  • Qian Xunji resisted the corruption, cursed the Angel God, and swore loyalty to the Rakshasa God in her rival’s name.
  • The Rakshasa God granted Qian Xunji the Rakshasa Nine Trials, and the First Trial ordered him to devour the body and soul of a Six-Winged Angel inheritor.

Ch. 50Strength Through Filial Piety

Qian Xunji revealed that he had become the Rakshasa God's inheritor and demanded that Qian Daoliu sacrifice himself to advance his path to godhood. Their battle raged outside Spirit City, where Qian Xunji remained unable to defeat his father even with the Rakshasa God's aid.

  • Qian Xunji told Qian Daoliu and the enshrined that the Angel God had fallen and that he was the Rakshasa God's inheritor.
  • Qian Xunji demanded that Qian Daoliu die for his son's path to godhood, and Qian Daoliu attacked him in anger.
  • Qian Daoliu and Qian Xunji fought in the mountains outside Spirit City, while Qian Daoliu refused to let Golden Crocodile Douluo and the other enshrined interfere.
  • Qian Xunji called on the Rakshasa God, gained divine power and a Demon Scythe, but Qian Daoliu countered him with Angel Divine Power.
  • Qian Xunji charged Qian Daoliu again and again, shouting that his father had to die, while Qian Daoliu demanded to know whether he truly had to die.

Ch. 51The Height of Filial Piety

Qian Xunji killed Qian Daoliu with help from the Rakshasa God and declared himself Spirit Hall’s Pope and god’s heir. Elsewhere, Yu Xiaogang was expelled from his clan and suddenly recovered memories that convinced him he had been reborn as Dragon God Douluo.

  • The Rakshasa God sent Divine Sense through Qian Xunji, freezing Qian Daoliu and the nearby worshipers so Qian Xunji could stab his father with the Fangtian Hua Ji and devour him.
  • Qian Xunji blamed Qian Daoliu’s weakness for his past failures and vowed to lead Spirit Hall, even if he had to kill kin or gods.
  • Golden Crocodile Douluo and the other worshipers confronted Qian Xunji, who used his power and trial mark to declare himself Pope of Spirit Hall and the heir of a god.
  • Gu Yue watched Qian Xunji’s rise and considered him a useful chess piece, while examining a faint wisp of soul in her palm.
  • The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan expelled Yu Xiaogang over his mutated Martial Soul and low Soul Power, and he angrily dismissed them as shortsighted.
  • Yu Xiaogang fell outside Thunder Canyon, recovered countless memories, and exclaimed that he had been reborn as Dragon God Douluo.
