Besides the God of Destruction Power, there was an extremely ancient, savage energy steeped in a primordial aura.

This power... was an existence that was not permitted. Not only did it violate the rules of this world, but it also shook all of space and time.

At the center of the energy storm.

Son Goku, reborn from his cocoon, was now in another realm. The little world that had trapped him was now covered in cracks, and its barrier was about to break.

A muffled, thunderous blast rang through the entire little world. The next second, the whole world suffered a devastating blow. In an instant, the world barrier was smashed apart, scattering countless fragments of space in every direction. They were then crushed into nothingness by an immense divine might.

Son Goku had thought that breaking the little world would let him return to the World of Void and face Beerus the God of Destruction, but to his surprise...

His terrifying power had not only shattered the world that trapped him. The entire World of Void had been affected, and the space-time barrier had been broken!

In an instant, violent currents of space and time poured out of the breach. Before Son Goku could react, they swept him into a space-time tunnel.

Inside the World of Void.

Beerus the God of Destruction unleashed all the God of Destruction Power in his body, shrinking the space-time storm.

"Stop this instant!!!" Beerus strained to squeeze out the last trace of God of Destruction Power in his body, trying to destroy the enormous storm with the power of destruction.

Fighting violence with violence had long been the God of Destruction's style.

Unfortunately, Beerus was already at the end of his strength. Several consecutive battles, followed by this latest outburst, had completely drained him.

Now, even remaining in the void was an immense effort.

Whis the Angel entered the World of Void at the critical moment. He released his powerful angelic power, suppressing the expanding space-time storm and rescuing Beerus just in time.

"Whis..." Beerus said weakly.

"I never imagined this battle would reach such a point... even space-time currents have appeared..." Whis said with lingering fear as he watched the currents of space and time being held down by his angelic power.

Fortunately, this was the World of Void, where there was nothing. Had it happened in a universe, the space-time currents pouring out of the shattered world barrier would have rapidly swept across the entire universe.

Even with him there, his angelic power would not have been able to completely counteract those space-time storms.

At least eighty percent of the entire universe would have been destroyed.

"Where did that guy go?" Beerus the God of Destruction held his breath and focused, watching the center of the space-time currents with a grave expression.

At that moment, it was not just him. All the gods and angels from Universe 1 through Universe 12 were watching.

Even the supreme existence in Zeno's Palace was observing.

They were very curious to see what Son Goku would look like, and what form he would take, after emerging reborn from his cocoon.

Time passed, second by second.

Under the suppression of the angelic power, the turbulent space-time currents vanished without a trace.

Everything fell quiet.

The restless World of Void returned to its former deathly stillness.

There was nothing before them, and even the aura had disappeared. Beerus and Whis stared wide-eyed at each other in bewilderment.

Both wore utterly bewildered expressions.

"How did that guy disappear?! Could it be... he failed to break through and got burned playing with fire?" Beerus asked, puzzled.

Given the current situation, that seemed to be the only possibility.

Son Goku had forced a breakthrough and then died.

He had been worried that Universe 7 would really produce someone who could rival him, a God of Destruction, in the truest sense. Now it seemed he had been worrying too much.

The greater the expectations, the greater the disappointment.
