Drunk
Fugaku smiled and reassured him, "Haha, Sakumo- nii, don't worry. I own more than one house in the Uchiha. There are vacant residences nearby. I understand your concerns, but Kakashi is staying at my house temporarily, and those who need to understand will understand. Furthermore, as Koki just said, Danzo is probably too busy to attend to other matters and monitor the affairs of the various clans, while I can still control the affairs within the Uchiha Clan."
A sharp glint flashed in Fugaku's eyes. Ever since Koki reminded him to capture the two spies, he had once again purged the clan and the Military Police Force to ensure stability. Now, the Uchiha should be free of traitors.
Sakumo remained hesitant. He turned his gaze to Kakashi, only to find Kakashi staring intently at him, as if he had been watching for a long time.
Seeing Hatake Sakumo's gaze, Kakashi gave a barely perceptible nod.
"Alright." Seeing Sakumo understood Kakashi's implication and agreed without further hesitation. "However, let's wait a while. After all, I resigned on the grounds of illness, and even if it's just for show, I need to rest at home for a period of time."
Fugaku readily agreed, "It's alright, I'm having a good time today, let's drink to our hearts' content."
"Dad, drink less alcohol," Koki reminded him, "Drinking too much isn't good."
"Don't worry, it's alright. We're just happy today, aren't we? Besides, it's been a long time since I've had a drink." He glanced at Mikoto discreetly, and seeing that his wife didn't seem to mind, he felt relieved.
"Mm." Koki nodded and said no more. She was very happy today, and Fugaku didn't have to go to work tomorrow, so it was definitely worth having a drink.
Fugaku stared at the empty wine glass, lost in thought. After a while, he suddenly picked up the bottle, poured Koki a glass, and said, "Come on, have a drink with your dad."
It's here, it's here, this day has finally come. Koki recalled his childhood. Before his parents divorced, his father would always dip his chopsticks in alcohol and let him taste it when he was little. And it seemed that not only one parent on Blue Star liked to do that, but everyone's father seemed to like to feed their children alcohol.
However, Koki was destined to disappoint Fugaku because of his incredibly low alcohol tolerance. He still remembered the scene of celebrating his birthday with his roommates. It was a night full of laughter and joy, and it was also the first time he truly experienced the power of alcohol.
On that day, to celebrate a roommate's birthday, they gathered in the dormitory, carefully prepared a cake, candles, and bottles of beer, and the atmosphere was warm and lively with laughter.
As the candles were lit, everyone sang "Happy Birthday" together.
Koki was in an exceptionally good mood that day. He raised a glass of wine and said, "Happy birthday! I hope your future is full of endless possibilities!" His roommate smiled, took the wine, and the two drank it down in one gulp.
As time went on, glasses were frequently clinked, and the laughter grew louder. Koki felt her head getting heavy, but she still couldn't stop and wanted to keep drinking.
However, the effects of alcohol gradually caused Koki to lose her rationality.
Alcohol eroded his reason, and he began to ramble incoherently and make bizarre movements, which drew laughter from everyone. He thought he was having a good time, but he ended up becoming the laughingstock of the crowd.
Under the influence of alcohol, Koki even started acting crazy. He ran to the table and sang and danced loudly, and even did somersaults in the dormitory.
His behavior surprised and embarrassed his roommates, but they tried their best to remain calm, not wanting to embarrass Koki.
Ultimately, Koki fell asleep under the influence of alcohol.
When he woke up the next day, he found himself lying in bed with a terrible headache. He thought about what had happened the night before and felt like he wanted to disappear from the planet. From that moment on, he vowed never to drink again.
The memories were too painful for Koki to bear, so he resolutely refused, saying, "Dad, I don't drink."
But Fugaku was still persistent and wouldn't give up. "Everyone has a first time. Come on, have a drink. Besides, you'll need to learn to drink when you graduate from the Ninja Academy and go on missions, won't you?"
Fugaku was not lying; being able to drink is one of the skills of a ninja, since some missions require disguise.
"I! Won't! Drink!" With so many people around, Koki was determined not to lose face.
Seeing the sadness on Fugaku's face, Shisui, not wanting to put Koki in a difficult position, immediately took the wine glass. "Uncle, let me have a drink with you. Thank you for taking care of me all this time."
After saying that, he ignored Koki's attempts to stop him, raised his small wine glass, and drank it all in one gulp.
"Hey, Shisui, are you alright?" Koki asked worriedly, noticing the blush on Shisui's face.
"Hehe, I'm fine." Shisui felt a warm current flow into his throat, and then he felt a little lightheaded. He looked at Koki, and at that moment, all his worries and stress vanished.
"Okay, you better really be alright." Is this liquor that strong?
"Fugaku, let me have a drink with you, and to my father, thank you." Kakashi suddenly stood up, picked up his glass, turned his head, and drank it all in one gulp.
"That damned Kakashi!" Obito gritted his teeth inwardly and followed closely behind, "Clan leader, thank you, thank you for taking me in."
Wait, how did the scene suddenly become chaotic?
Koki stared blankly at everything. Fugaku was being coaxed by the children and was beaming with joy, frequently raising his glass. Uncle Sakumo was also drinking one glass after another, but he didn't seem very happy.
"I'll go get a few more bottles of wine," Mikoto said, standing up.
Koki quickly stopped Mikoto, "Mom, why are you getting in the way and making things worse?"
"It's rare to see your dad so happy. He's been under a lot of pressure. Let him drink to his heart's content tonight." Mikoto shook her head.
"Okay, Mom, but are you sure?" Koki looked at Shisui, whose face was flushed, eyes were glazed, and who was Shisui tightly to him.
"Haha, don't worry, you don't need to wake them up tomorrow, I'll set alarms for them."
"Oh well."
Soon, Mikoto brought over several bottles of wine. By this time, Shisui was already drunk and completely out of his mind. He tightly hugged Koki's waist, rubbed his head against his chest, and began to sob softly, muttering something incoherently.
Koki had no choice but to gently rub Shisui's slightly curly hair, but the curly hair was so easy to tangle, and if she kept rubbing it, it would turn into a bird's nest.
Koki hesitated for a moment, then had to withdraw his hand. Unexpectedly, this Shisui, who grumbled and pulled Koki, preventing him from letting go.
Koki was filled with doubt. Was Japan shochu really that potent? Shisui had only drunk one cup and he was already like this, and the cup wasn't even that big.
Kakashi's alcohol tolerance is better, after all. Koki didn't hear a sound from him and looked at Kakashi next to her with relief, only to see an even worse scene.
Kakashi's eyes were lifeless, completely unfocused, staring blankly at him, as if his soul had left his body.
