Background / History

Transmigration and the Old Yellow Ox

After witnessing Cowherd steal Weaver Girl’s garment and the ox secretly enchant it, Jiang Zhe confronts the ox. His first armored Flame Fist kills the peak Human Immortal opponent. He returns Weaver Girl’s clothes without looking at her and tries to leave, but the enormous karmic debt created by changing her fate draws her after him 4 5 6 7 8.

Flower-Fruit Mountain

Seeking merit and combat experience, Jiang Zhe hunts demons on Flower-Fruit Mountain. After rescuing monkeys and seeing the aftermath of a massacre, he resolves to eliminate the Demon King of Havoc. Gray Monkey guides him toward Water Filth Cave, where several demon kings have gathered 11 12 13 14.

Jiang Zhe kills the Demon King of Havoc and the surrounding demons, accumulating 8,000 merit. Inside the cave, he discovers imprisoned humans and finds the nine-leaf Condensed Essence Lingzhi. He shares its leaves with the survivors and Gray Monkey before remaining behind to cultivate 16 17.

Fusion with Primordial Chaos Creation Divine Lightning leaves him unconscious for six months and transforms him into an Innate Living Being and Earth Immortal. Afterward, Weaver Girl brings him the Eight-Nine Arcane Arts and Fire Virtue Star Lord’s fire-control insights. Mount Hua and the Buddhist Scheme

Jiang Zhe travels to Mount Hua to investigate Joyful Boy’s reincarnations and their connection to the plot against Yang Chan. Recognizing Buddhist protection associated with the Joyful Chan Method, he rents a residence nearby and prepares to act 24 25 26 27.

He later intercepts a transaction between Joyful Boy’s reincarnation and Tiger-Taming Arhat’s clone that threatens Liu Family Village. Jiang Zhe kills the reincarnation, recycles the Soul-Fixing Jade, and battles the clone. Unable to overcome it with ordinary attacks, he combines a summoned lightning calamity with Buddha’s Fury Flame Lotus to destroy it 32 33 34.

Joyful Boy reincarnates again as the village head’s newborn son. Jiang Zhe investigates, and the attack on the child exposes its Buddhist power to Yang Chan. When he meets her afterward, he withholds his broader suspicions: he fears that openly implicating Spirit Mountain could provoke retaliation from powers far beyond his strength 36 38 39.

Black Rhino Star and the Next Confrontation

Jiang Zhe’s growing bond with Weaver Girl intertwines their stars. He binds the star that becomes Black Rhino Star, unlocks Black Rhino Armor, and completes the Heaven-Ordained Romance mission after they become partners. He promises to take responsibility for their relationship and eventually seek her in the Heavenly Court 40 41 42.

After Weaver Girl returns to heaven, Jiang Zhe strengthens himself against possible Heavenly Court punishment. He reaches True Immortal, obtains Black Rhino Star’s Meteor Spear, and comprehends Rhino Sea. Encountering the injured Tiger-Taming Arhat, he escapes after the Arhat marks his primordial spirit, then commits merit to improving his movement and cultivation techniques before another confrontation. His treatment of victims is notably generous. He reassures the captives in Water Filth Cave and shares a heavenly treasure with ordinary humans and Gray Monkey. His anger at the monkeys’ slaughter also leads him to confront the Demon King of Havoc rather than simply continue hunting minor demons 13 17.
