Yu-Gi-Oh!: Starting with an Underworld Deck and Depressing the World
Disguised, he had bought up all the new cards that had been escorted to the Duel Academy store at noon that day ahead of time.
He had also given a few of the rare cards to that goofball Chazz Princeton to help him defeat Jaden Yuki.
Now, it seemed that although his presence had caused a few minor changes,
and he had become that blond mushroom-head professor's number one target,
not much had changed on this front.
Jiang He could even easily guess that
Professor Crowler had probably given some rare cards to Bastion Misawa as well, who was due to duel him later.
"Huh?" Alexis was startled and looked at Jiang He questioningly.
Then she suddenly seemed to notice something and followed his gaze.
Soon, she spotted Professor Crowler down by the far side of the arena, secretly grinning to himself.
"Ooh-hoo-hoo, that's it, Chazz! Hurry and defeat that Slifer Red dropout, Jaden Yuki, in one fell swoop!"
On the dueling field, Jaden Yuki was already looking a little surprised.
It was his first time seeing a monster summoned through this special kind of fusion,
one that didn't require the Spell Card Polymerization!
"Hmph, it's still a little too early to be surprised, Jaden Yuki!"
Chazz raised the hand wearing his Duel Disk and spoke with a crooked grin.
"I activate VW-Tiger Catapult's monster effect! By discarding one card from my hand, I can change the battle position of an opponent's monster!"
"I discard one card and switch your Elemental HERO Clayman to attack position!"
As he spoke, Chazz placed a card from his hand in his Duel Disk's Graveyard.
"Nani?!" Jaden cried in surprise.
The gray clay figure on his field, which had been crouching with its arms crossed, stood up in an instant, as though pulled by an electric arc released by its opponent.
It had switched to attack position!
"It has an effect like that too! If Chazz attacks Elemental HERO Clayman when it only has 800 attack points...!" Syrus Truesdale's expression changed as well, and he murmured worriedly from afar.
The situation seemed to have suddenly taken a major turn for the worse!
Chapter 37: This One Was Even More of a Heavyweight
"Get it! VW-Tiger Catapult, crush that trash monster with a measly 800 attack points!"
Chazz thrust out the hand wearing his Duel Disk and pointed at Clayman on the field in front of Jaden.
"Whoosh, whoosh!!"
As Chazz's words fell, several missiles immediately fired from the mechanical body of VW-Tiger Catapult on the field in front of him,
trailing smoke as they sped toward the gray clay figure on Jaden's field!
"Ah!!"
The missiles struck, and Elemental HERO Clayman let out a muffled cry before exploding with a bang into a ball of fire and quickly vanishing.
The blast of flame and smoke swept fiercely over Jaden, who raised a hand to shield himself in pain,
and his full 4,000 LP promptly beeped down to 2,800 LP.
"I set one more card and end my turn!"
Chazz gave a smug chuckle as he declared the end of his turn.
"Things really aren't looking good, but I still plan to duel Jiang He. I can't lose here!"
Jaden's expression grew more serious as he placed his hand on the deck in his Duel Disk.
"My turn, draw! I summon Elemental HERO Burstinatrix in Defense Position!"
A faint light appeared, and the figure of a female monster, mostly crimson and with fan-shaped long hair,
appeared on a card that had materialized on the field in front of Jaden, crouching with her arms crossed.

"A female monster spirit, huh..." Seeing the Elemental HERO Burstinatrix Jaden had summoned, Jiang He muttered and clicked his tongue.
It was a bit of a pain.
The two underworld decks he had temporarily exchanged for from the system didn't have Duel Monster spirits like Dark Magician Girl or Maiden with Eyes of Blue, to say nothing of anything else.
Even with both decks combined, he couldn't find a single female animal monster...
There were only things like corpse parts, lava men, and Celtic Guardian.
Jiang He was at a loss.
Sure enough, the only drawback of underworld decks was that they were too underworld...
Alexis Rhodes suddenly seemed to hear Jiang He mutter something under his breath and turned to glance at him in puzzlement.
But all she saw was Jiang He shaking his head with a somewhat helpless expression.
She immediately assumed he was shaking his head because Jaden's situation on the field was so unfavorable.
"He managed to defeat Professor Crowler head-on. I don't think that Jaden Yuki is limited to just this."
Alexis Rhodes said it without showing any reaction.
"Uh..." Jiang He paused.
Then he nodded in agreement and said, "He really has always been able to lock his LP!"
"Lock his LP?" Alexis looked utterly bewildered.
"Then I set one more card and end my turn!"
Meanwhile, on the dueling field below and in the distance,
Jaden quickly ended his turn after summoning Burstinatrix in Defense Position as a temporary defensive tactic!
It was Chazz's turn, and he drew a card from the deck in his Duel Disk.
Without even looking at what he had drawn,
Chazz immediately broke into a smug grin. "I summon X-Head Cannon in attack position."
A faint light flashed, and the figure of a yellow-and-blue machine with twin cannon barrels appeared.
"Next, thanks to the effect of the Continuous Spell Frontline Base, which I activated on my field last turn, I can special summon one level four or lower monster from my hand each turn. I choose Z-Metal Tank!"
Another brief flash of light appeared, followed by a golden mechanical monster with twin claws and tank treads.
"Those are the two rare monsters whose names start with X and Z. D-don't tell me...?!" Syrus looked shocked.
The two followers beside Alexis looked just as surprised.
"Masaka...!" Jaden cried out as well, as though he had guessed something.
"That's exactly what it is! I activate my set card, the Continuous Trap Call of the Haunted!"
Chazz raised a hand, and the card he had set on his field last turn flipped over, revealing a trap illustration of several gravestones and smoke.
"This trap's effect lets me choose one monster in my Graveyard and special summon it to the field in attack position!"
"And when I activated VW-Tiger Catapult's effect to change Elemental HERO Clayman's battle position, I happened to discard a key monster card to the Graveyard!"
"Come back to life, Y-Dragon Head!"
At Chazz's gesture, another faint light flashed, and a red mechanical flying dragon rose from the Graveyard, opening its jaws to roar!
"Now all the components are finally in place! Here I come, Jaden Yuki!"
"I fuse the three XYZ monsters that can form XYZ-Dragon Cannon with the VW-Tiger Catapult on my field!"
Chazz's face was full of smug satisfaction.
"Come forth, VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon!"
As Chazz's words fell, the mechanical monsters on his field seemed to break apart and reorganize, drawing together under the pull of electrical arcs and magnetism.
In an instant, they combined into a huge, upright mechanical monster with two claws!
It had two cannon barrels on its front and a pair of red mechanical wings on its back!
It was tremendously imposing!
[VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon] [Level: 8] [Attribute: Light] [Attack: 3000] [Defense: 2800]
Looking at the position occupied by the red mechanical flying dragon on VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon's body...
Jiang He could only say that this one was even more of a heavyweight!
I'll form the... part.
"Heh heh heh, Jaden Yuki, before my ace monster, you have no future turn!"
Chazz let out a smug chuckle.
"I activate VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon's special effect! Once per turn, I can banish one card on my opponent's field, whether it's a monster, Spell, or Trap!"
Chapter 38: A Luck Card Only a God-Draw Dog Could Use
"I choose to banish the Elemental HERO Burstinatrix on your field!"
Chazz pointed straight at the crimson figure of Burstinatrix on the field in front of Jaden.
"Buzz!!"
Electrical arcs appeared around Burstinatrix, and the crimson figure that had been crouching defensively on the card vanished in an instant, a bewildered look on her face.
"Burstinatrix...!" Jaden cried in surprise.
"This is the end, Jaden Yuki! Take a good look at the sorrow of a loser! VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon, attack directly!"
As an electric laser shot from the huge mechanical monster's cannon at Chazz's command,
Jaden hurriedly activated his set trap.
"Activate the set card, Trap Card Hero Signal!"
