Travels in Hangzhou (Eighteen): A Boat Trip on West Lake (Epilogue)
At dusk, on the observation deck of a business yacht.
"Wow~ This is the Leifeng Pagoda in the Sunset that the senior mentioned!" Sigrika exclaimed with great delight.
In the afterglow of the setting sun, Leifeng Pagoda was coated with a thin layer of gold leaf. At first, it was just a light gold color, but then it gradually turned into an orange-red color like Sigrika's hair color. From a distance, it looked as if the entire pagoda was on fire. The pagoda's reflection in the lake water dyed the entire pool of blue water into an amber color.
This is Leifeng Pagoda in the Sunset, one of the Ten Scenes of West Lake.
"Xixi, it's almost time~?" Dania climbed from the tea table onto the observation deck and immediately saw Sigrika staring blankly at the Leifeng Pagoda in the distance.
"What a beautiful view!"
Not wanting to spoil Sigrika's enjoyment, she simply stood beside her and admired the beautiful scenery before them.
They have plenty of time now and don't need to rush.
"Ah, Yaya, you're here!" Sigrika said with a bright smile. "Have you all been waiting for me for a long time?"
"Still preparing," Dania smiled. "It's okay if you want to watch a little longer; I'll stay here with you."
"Hehe, thank you, Yaya."
After a brief exchange, the two silently admired the beautiful scenery before them, their starry and pale blue eyes reflecting the same vibrant red sunset.
"How long have we been here Yaya?"
"I'm not sure~ It's been about half a year, hasn't it?"
"Half a year... it's been so long..." Sigrika sighed. "But for me, whether it was my first arrival in this world, my reunion with Yaya, or the birthday celebration with you, it all feels like it happened just yesterday."
"It feels like a dream, doesn't it?"
"It feels a little unreal, but I'm really happy!" Sigrika's eyes sparkled like stars. "After coming to this world, I not only reunited with you, Yaya, but also celebrated your birthday with you, and we can just look at the scenery like this without saying a word."
"I'm so happy too," Dania said with a bright smile. "I always thought happiness was a distant concept, but now I have it firmly in my grasp."
"Now's the perfect time, shall we take a group photo?"
"Okay, okay!"
"Look at the camera." Dania held up her phone. "Three, two—!"
Click.
Nighttime, inside the tea room on the first floor of the yacht.
At this moment, Suisui is standing in the center, performing a dance for everyone in the teahouse.
With her fan swirling and her demeanor graceful, her dance was elegant and charming. Every movement, every smile, exuded allure. Although there was no accompaniment, her rhythm was the perfect beat.
After spinning twice in place, Suisui came to a graceful stop and then gave a graceful bow to her audience.
"Great!" Xiao Ling exclaimed in approval.
As soon as she finished speaking, the surrounding audience gave Suisui a warm round of applause, marking the perfect exit for her dance.
Suisui gracefully stepped down from the stage, returned to her seat, and began to sip her cocktail like a swan.
(As a long-time guest has said.)
"Hmm~ This cocktail isn't bad," she said softly after taking a small sip.
Suisui is in charge of the Chamber of Commerce and has often attended banquets. The wines there are all incredibly fragrant and mellow, but the downside is that even a little too much wine can easily make you drunk.
However, as the head of the Chamber of Commerce, Suisui was quite averse to getting drunk, so she usually only had a couple of sips at most, just enough to get slightly tipsy, and most of the time she would play psychological tactics.
However, since everyone on the ship was her own people, she could drink freely. Besides, this cocktail wasn't easy to get drunk on; it tasted more like fruit juice with a touch of alcohol. She figured that even if she drank a few more sips, she wouldn't get too drunk.
And...
Suisui turned her gaze to Hajiling, who was surrounded by beautiful girls not far away.
If she were truly drunk, it would be a perfect opportunity to test the character of her sister's ideal man.
Returning to the center of their makeshift stage, the second performer was Little Ai, who brought a new song. Her sweet and ethereal voice echoed through the yacht, making everyone feel as if they were amidst a galaxy of stars.
"I've never heard this song before. Little Ai write a new song?" Lynae was the first to ask after listening.
"Hehe, I felt something after coming to this world, so I just wrote a poem on the spur of the moment," Aemeath said with a smile. "But I'm still struggling to come up with a good name for it."
"The song is very nice. As for the name, we can take our time, no rush," Xiao Ling said with a smile. "However, does this mean we've had an early access to your new song?"
"Is that so!" Aemeath nodded. "After all, I wanted to let everyone hear how it sounded first!"
"It's a very good song," Crimson Snow nodded. "I think it will become a great work."
"My assessment is that it has a very 'Wooly ' style," Roccia said with a smile.
The people present gave their evaluations one after another, which pleased Aemeath greatly. She happily returned to her seat and, incidentally, fed Hajiling a piece of apple.
The atmosphere in the teahouse was quite pleasant. Talented people eagerly went on stage, while those without talent sat below as the best audience. The emotional value was abundant, with laughter, applause, and praise intertwining to create a symphony unique to this night.
As the boat slowly reached the end of this route, their boat trip on West Lake was drawing to a close.
Xiao Ling was sitting in his seat, pondering whether to take them home or go sightseeing elsewhere, when he looked up and was met with Aemeath's starry eyes.
"A-Yu! Sing a song too~" Aemeath, pulling his hand. "I haven't heard you sing in so long~ Please do me a favor~"
"Uh, do I want to sing too?" Xiao Ling blinked and asked.
"Exchange."
"But the ship is almost here, so why don't we wait until next time?"
"Don't worry, Brother Ling, there are still ten minutes before the ship docks. That's enough time for you to sing two songs," Suisui chimed in at the opportune moment. "Of course, we'd accept you singing just one song too."
Xiao Ling was about to find another excuse to refuse when everyone around him turned to look at him expectantly, leaving him at a loss for what to do.
"Ha... Let's make this clear first, don't criticize me if I don't sing well," Xiao Ling admitted defeat.
He walked to the center of the stage, pondered for a moment, and then sang the first line of lyrics.
"The mountain spring meanders across the earth, and from a long, long time ago, I had a childlike face..."
The loyal audience members provided excellent emotional support, cheering and singing along, creating a very pleasant atmosphere on the yacht.
And this boat trip on West Lake came to a perfect close with Xiao Ling's performance on stage.
