990,000-year Soul Beast 146 His established cultivation when introduced. No further increase in cultivation is documented in the supplied chapters.

Background / History

The Silver Moon Wolf Emperor began as a Gravity Dog carrying a trace of Heavenly Dog blood. After awakening that bloodline, he possessed attributes that countered Yue Shen’s priests. He fought his way into the Yue Shen God Trial grounds but remained confined there by the white-robed priest 157 162.

Despite being an outsider to the trial grounds, he acquired substantial authority over assessments and killed many ordinary trial participants. His prolonged conflict with the priest depleted both of them to less than half their peak strength 157 162.

Appearance

His usual form is an enormous white wolf with drifting fur. He can shrink to an ordinary wolf’s size or become small enough to stand on Wang Xingyu’s head 146 148 162.

  • Wolf form: Massive head and white fur that continues floating around him even after he reduces his size 146 148.
  • Humanoid form: A shirtless, muscular man with an inverted-triangle build and fluffy white hair reaching his waist 157.
  • Transformation effect: Silver light flows over his body as he assumes human form 157.
  • Small canine form: Appears as a white dog when introduced to Tang San 163.

Personality

The Wolf Emperor is proud, combative, and easily drawn into challenges. Wang Xingyu secures his cooperation by withholding the details of a battle plan until he agrees to help. He also hopes that robbers will target the young trial participants so that he can fight them, then complains when none appear 147 152.

His loyalty to Soul Beasts shapes his distrust of humans. He challenges Wang Xingyu to explain how humans who hunt Soul Beasts for cultivation differ from Evil Soul Masters, and requires Xiao Wu to swear never to harm the Soul Beast race. Nevertheless, he recognizes that neither of them is bloodthirsty and offers Xiao Wu protection 146.

He combines respect for strength with calculated manipulation. During the Sixth Trial, he genuinely suppresses his cultivation, body, and mind, but initially intends to push the pair into despair before easing up so they will owe him a favor. Their resistance exceeds his expectations, and his pride turns the assessment into a battle he refuses to concede easily 158 161.

Abilities & Skills

Myriad Attraction Domain

His domain manipulates attraction and the forces acting on objects, allowing him to control opponents’ movement and reinforce his attacks 159.

  • Attraction: Pulls opponents toward him, prevents retreat, and compresses Wang Xingyu’s Blue Silver Grass into a ball 157 159.
  • Repulsion: Separates opponents, deflects attacks, and throws Xiao Wu away from him 157 158.
  • Localized force: Places repulsive force at Xiao Wu’s teleportation destination to send her back toward him 159.
  • Precision extraction: Draws embedded Dragon Whisker Needles out of his body 158.
  • Force conversion: Draws on the ground’s gravity and converts it through his body into repulsive force 161.
  • Observed opening: During the Sixth Trial, Wang Xingyu discovers that his defensive repulsion acts on only one side at a time, enabling alternating attacks from the front and rear 160.
  • Suppression limit: Below Level 70, the domain produces less force than his fists, though resisting it still continuously consumes his opponents’ Soul Power 159.

Physical Strength and Durability

Even with his cultivation and physical strength reduced for the Sixth Trial, his body vastly exceeds what Wang Xingyu and Xiao Wu initially expect 157 158.

  • Pierces Wang Xingyu’s heart with a hand strike and later drives a hand through his abdomen 157 160.
  • Deflects Godly Zhuge Crossbow bolts with his body; Dragon Whisker Needles initially penetrate less than a centimeter 158.
  • Quickly recovers from the stunning effects of Xiao Wu’s Explosive Killing Nine-Stage Throw unless Wang Xingyu adds mental interference 158.
  • Withstands two consecutive coordinated Nine-Stage Throw sequences, although the final strike cripples one arm 160.

Sand Manipulation

He controls desert sand for ranged attacks, battlefield pressure, and concealed movement control 159 160.

  • Forms large sand spears capable of inflicting deep wounds 159.
  • Produces a sky-filling rain of smaller spears while attacking through the barrage 159.
  • Uses countless grains of sand to push Wang Xingyu toward him and cover the positions to which Wang Xingyu teleports 160.
  • The sustained spear barrage consumes a considerable amount of his own Soul Power 160.

Transformation and Mobility

He changes both form and size without abandoning his identity as a Soul Beast 148 157 162.

  • Shrinks from a giant wolf to ordinary-wolf size, then later to roughly Big Yellow’s size 148 162.
  • Assumes a humanoid form that reduces his physical strength for the Sixth Trial 157.
  • Flies and moves quickly enough to intercept Xiao Wu and Wang Xingyu despite their immediate attempt to flee 148 157.
  • Appears suddenly beside Xiao Wu after she escapes the Dark Moon Demon Wolves and Death Worm 149.

Named Soul Skills

  • Void Bite: Manifests a wolf’s jaws beside the white-robed priest. The priest shatters them with a counterattack 161.
  • Heavenly Dog Devours the Moon: Invoked during his fight with the priest. The scene does not establish its full effects; its name foreshadows the revelation of his Heavenly Dog bloodline 161 162.

Current Limitations

  • Depleted strength: His conflict with the priest leaves him below half his peak power. The priest considers him a suitable bodyguard provided the group does not encounter a Level 99 opponent 162.
  • Mental vulnerability under suppression: Wang Xingyu can briefly disrupt his mind during the Sixth Trial because his mental power is also suppressed 158.
  • Divine weapons: His repulsion delays the Asura Demonic Sword only momentarily, although that opening allows Tang Hao to retreat 165.
  • Recall safeguard: Xiao Wu can send him back to Yue Shen Tower by touching her forehead’s moon mark and silently reciting the required invocation 162.

Relationships

  • Xiao Wu — A fellow Soul Beast whom he accepts as a Yue Shen candidate after an oath. He becomes her Sixth Trial opponent and later offers to protect her during training 146 156 162.
  • Wang Xingyu — Initially treats him with suspicion, then becomes his Soul Power donor, opponent, and bodyguard. Wang Xingyu also presents arguments about peaceful human–Soul Beast coexistence that persuade him 146 148 157 162.
  • White-robed priest — His captor, fellow examiner, and constant rival. Their exchanges alternate between insults, cooperation, and actual fighting; the priest interferes in the Sixth Trial’s final clash 148 150 157 161.
  • Big Yellow — Fellow traveling companion. He flicks Big Yellow away when the cat attempts to help during the Sixth Trial 159 162.
  • Tang San — Introduced as Xiao Wu and Wang Xingyu’s sworn brother. The Wolf Emperor greets him with a paw shake while concealing his true cultivation 163.
  • Tang Hao — Temporary battle partner against the King of Slaughter. His gravitational interference supports Tang Hao’s hammer attacks, and his repulsion creates an opening for Tang Hao to escape the Asura Demonic Sword 164 165.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Yue Shen Assessment and the Combined Trials

The Wolf Emperor examines Xiao Wu’s six self-produced Soul Rings and lack of Soul Beast blood before accepting her oath. He helps the priest raise the Yue Shen Pillar and is shocked when she receives the Yue Shen Nine Trials. Wang Xingyu receives no response from the pillar, prompting discussion of whether his existing Life God assessment prevents another assessment 146.

Although examiners are not supposed to interfere, he agrees to let Wang Xingyu absorb his Soul Power through Life Drain. He guides the pair to the three trial targets, and Wang Xingyu temporarily reaches Level 69 using the donated power. After Xiao Wu escapes the pursuing Soul Beasts, the Wolf Emperor rejoins her 147 148 149.

He and the priest subsequently drive away a sacred, Level 99 human presence with their combined aura. Wang Xingyu identifies the visitor as Qian Daoliu. When the combined trials are cleared, the Wolf Emperor openly envies the rewards and wishes he could participate himself 150.

Moon-Reflecting City

For the Fifth Trial, he escorts Xiao Wu and Wang Xingyu to Moon-Reflecting City and explains its restrictions: Level 59 maximum, access to only the first five Soul Skills, no Soul Bone Skills, and continued access to domains. He later escorts them back to Yue Shen Tower between attempts at the Moon-Reflecting Steps 151 152.

Sixth Trial: Survival Becomes Victory

The Sixth Trial requires the pair to survive against him for one incense stick’s burning time. He promises to suppress his cultivation and physical strength, gives them five months to prepare, and refuses to discuss Wang Xingyu’s proposed coexistence terms until they qualify 156 157.

Phase Events
Opening assault He catches the fleeing pair, breaks their connecting vine, and pierces Wang Xingyu’s heart 157.
First counterattack Mental interference lets Xiao Wu land a Nine-Stage Throw sequence. He survives and activates his domain 158.
Attrition Gravity, sand spears, and surprise attacks force the pair to expend their healing and escape resources 159 160.
Coordinated assault Two chained Nine-Stage Throw sequences cripple one arm, prompting him to use all the strength available at his suppressed level 160.
Red Moon awakening His attacks leave Wang Xingyu critically wounded and Xiao Wu badly injured. Xiao Wu awakens Red Moon Domain and begins overpowering him 160.
Final clash The priest’s diamond-shaped fragment redirects his punch, allowing Xiao Wu’s Falling Moon kick to strike his face and knock him out 161.

The victory passes the Sixth Trial for both participants. Afterward, the Wolf Emperor furiously accuses the priest of interfering, and the two resume fighting inside Yue Shen Tower 161.

Bodyguard and the King of Slaughter

Seeking reconciliation, he offers to accompany the pair while Xiao Wu trains toward Level 80 and Yue Shen’s Seventh Trial. With the priest’s recall safeguard in place, he leaves the tower and travels with them through Holy Soul Village and toward the Star Dou Great Forest 162.

Before meeting Tang San, the group agrees to describe him publicly as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast rather than reveal his true 990,000-year cultivation 163.

Against the King of Slaughter, he supports Tang Hao with attraction and repulsion. Their combined pressure gains ground until the King reveals the Asura Demonic Sword; the Wolf Emperor briefly separates the weapons to save Tang Hao from the clash. Qian Daoliu then arrives to undertake the purification 164 165.

After Tang Chen’s recovery, Tang San introduces the Wolf Emperor as a relative of Xiao Wu. Tang Chen senses that his cultivation greatly exceeds a hundred thousand years but cannot determine its exact extent. The Wolf Emperor subsequently accompanies the group to the Clear Sky Sect 167 168.
