Background / History

Spirit Hall’s illustrated guide identifies the Cyclops as the undisputed overlord of Heavenly Eye Forest, comparing its standing there to that of the Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python in Star Dou Great Forest. It is described as a nightmare for countless Soul Masters 1.

Battle with Su Tianyu

A two-thousand-year-old Cyclops chased Su Tianyu from the forest’s inner region toward its outskirts. Su Tianyu, who had just reached level twenty, trapped it in Golden Pupil Illusory Realm. The beast activated both innate Soul Skills, shattered the illusion, and forced him into close-range evasion. His thrown Hidden Weapons failed to penetrate its transformed hide 1.

Su Tianyu reversed the battle by firing a meter-long iron arrow from his crossbow into its single eye. The injury interrupted Giant Spirit Transformation and greatly weakened its spiritual power, allowing him to draw its soul into the Soul Control Realm 2.

There, Su Tianyu bound the soul with chains, struck it with a spiritual-power whip a hundred times, and absorbed its remaining soul power until it shattered. The Cyclops died and released a purple thousand-year Soul Ring. Su Tianyu concealed himself beneath its corpse and completed the ring’s absorption over five hours 2.

Appearance

• Build: The encountered specimen stands six meters tall, with knotted muscles, short arms, and long legs 1.
• Face: Humanlike and notably goblin-like in overall appearance 1.
• Eye: A single enormous eye occupies half its head; its pupil shines bloodthirsty red during the confrontation 1.

• The difficult Cyclops hunt remains a reference point for his weapon-making plans: in Treasure Sword City, he wonders whether a Godly Zhuge Crossbow would have allowed him to kill it easily without injury 26.
