His voice was panicked, and his face was flushed.
Waves of heat flowed from the young man into Medises's cold body.
To mask another high-ranking male Zerg's pheromone fluid, a more concentrated and potent pheromone had to be injected into the human body. Taking in pheromone fluid at such a high concentration would leave the individual dizzy and dazed, in a state similar to human drunkenness.
As Medises saw it, Su Lin was clearly in that state now.
He was delirious. Otherwise, he would never have acted so strangely.
After all, if another Zerg had been stared at by Medises from such close range, their legs would probably have given out and they would have screamed in terror, or simply fallen to their knees and begged for their life.
Medises was a Blood Wing, and in ancient times, Blood Wings had always fed on other Zerg.
Over the years, several members of their community had lost control of their bloodlines. Unable to control their natural appetite, they had attacked and devoured other Zerg... Those individuals had all been dealt with in the end, of course, but the Zerg they had devoured would not come back just because their killers were dead.
And yet Su Lin's scent was so sweet.
Sweet enough to swallow in a single bite.
Medises's pupils narrowed to slits, and his gaze grew increasingly fierce and sharp.
But Su Lin still wore that same innocent, foolish expression. To keep his balance, he even clutched the stiff, thick front of the silver-haired Zerg's uniform with both hands-just as he had instinctively done many years ago whenever he accidentally fell into He Zisen's arms.
Back then, though He Zisen had been expressionless, he had always held Su Lin firmly around the waist.
But now, Medises, the Zerg, only looked down at Su Lin, his face utterly indifferent.
"Senior. I was wrong. Please don't leave me here on my own-"
Su Lin spoke in a daze, looking vulnerable and panicked.
Medises interrupted him in an exceptionally chilling voice.
"First, I have no idea what nonsense you're spouting."
He said.
"Second, you should understand your position. You are my servant Zerg now, and the only way you're allowed to address me is 'Master.'"
"Third..."
Medises raised a hand and gripped Su Lin's chin.
"The tricks you used to seduce Carlos won't work on me. What I despise most in this life are things like you... vile, cold-blooded things that flaunt themselves. So you'd better put away those crude tricks and stop making me sick. Have I made myself clear, Su Lin?"
As he spoke, Medises revealed a little of his original Zerg form, almost as if he were doing it deliberately.
It had to be said that, in stark contrast to his beautiful human mimicry, Medises's original insect form was truly horrifying and ferocious.
...It was easy to understand why he would show that face to frighten others.
When he finished speaking, Medises returned to his beautiful, ice-cold face. He stared steadily at Su Lin, seemingly waiting for fear to appear on his face.
Sure enough, under his gaze, Su Lin's face grew paler and paler.
Then...
"Master."
A faint voice, strongly ingratiating, slipped from the young man's slightly parted lips.
He was so ashamed that even the end of the word trembled slightly.
Medises's pupils contracted sharply.
The young man in his arms immediately sensed him tense up. Su Lin promptly cast aside his shame and said it again.
"I understand, Master."
With that, Su Lin stumbled and scrambled free of Medises's arms.
Covering the wound on the side of his neck, he staggered several steps backward, swaying on his feet.
"But I really didn't... didn't seduce anyone. I just pulled my wound and lost my balance, really..."
With the blood on him and his unusually pale face, a certain human looked truly pitiful now.
Even the way he feebly defended himself seemed especially forlorn.
Medises stared at Su Lin for a while. Then, as if he had lost all patience for communicating with a weak insect, he raised a hand and pushed Su Lin straight toward the bionic tentacles.
"Treat his wound."
The silver-haired Zerg ordered.
Then he paid Su Lin no further attention. He turned and strode out of the examination room.
Su Lin was already exhausted, and he let the tentacles coil around him and carry him back to the examination chair for basic treatment.
After the initial sharp pain, the wound Medises had bitten into him had now given way to a peculiar numbness and swelling.
Perhaps it was because he now had two male Zerg's pheromone fluids in his body at once. In any case, the dizziness Medises's fluid should have caused was only just beginning to take effect.
Su Lin's vision was a little blurry. He watched the silver-haired Zerg's retreating figure hurry away and swallowed.
It should... it should be mostly fine now, right?
He desperately tried to reassure himself.
All of Medises's reactions were like those of a real Zerg.
He had not acknowledged being called "Senior," either.
However, since Su Lin had been able to brave the intimidating aura of a high-ranking Zerg, rush at him like that, and fall straight into his arms, he had at least some grounds for confidence.
Mm, Medises was probably Senior.
The other Zerg did not know the truth, but Su Lin knew perfectly well that he could not possibly be the so-called "Dew Nest."
Likewise, Su Lin did not believe that Medises, a high-ranking member of the Security Committee who could make so many Zerg fall silent with fear, would be stupid enough not to have noticed that he was a Zerg-human chimera.
