Chapter Summaries

Balthazar recovered the Grimhold while Charlotte defeated Horvath and took his magic armor, which the system identified as a rechargeable item. After Maxim escaped and police arrived, Balthazar, Charlotte, and Dave left in Balthazar’s car, where Balthazar told Dave his mission was over.

• Balthazar blasted Horvath through a window, then used magic to restrain Maxim and take the Grimhold as Horvath transformed the dragon-dance prop into a Magic Dragon.
• Dave ran to Charlotte for help, and Charlotte leaped onto the Magic Dragon, flattened it with a kick, and snapped off one of its horns.
• Charlotte tracked Horvath through the colored paper, killed him with a Kunai, and took the dragon-carved magic armor after the Magic Dragon reverted to a prop.
• Balthazar praised Charlotte and let him keep the armor, while Maxim spotted the Dragon Ring and fled.
