Background

Tang San is the biological son of Tang Hao, the Clear Sky Douluo, and Ah Yin, a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor who transformed into human form. Ah Yin sacrificed herself when Spirit Hall pursued the family after Tang San’s birth, becoming Tang Hao’s ninth Soul Ring and allowing him to escape with the infant Tang San. 117 127

At six, Tang San arrives at Nuoding Primary Spirit Master Academy as a Work-Study Student from Holy Soul Village. Yu Xiaogang recognizes his innate full Soul Power and Twin Martial Souls, exposes the latter secret during registration, and becomes Tang San’s teacher. 13 14 In Dorm 7, Tang San loses a fight to Xiao Wu and is required to address her as “Sister Xiao Wu.” 14

Tang San becomes a One-Ring Soul Master after acquiring the Mandala Snake Soul Ring. He later represents the Work-Study Students during their confrontation with Xiao Chenyu’s Noble Students, using Blue Silver Grass in combat. 21
