Background / History

Tang Hao trained in Slaughter City before reaching level 70. Unable to rely on Soul Skills there, he used the Clear Sky Sect’s Nine Clear Sky Absolutes and Chaotic Cloak Hammer Method to defeat stronger opponents, achieve one hundred arena victories, clear the Road to Hell, and obtain the Slaughter God’s Domain. 144

He was the partner of Ah Yin, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor, and father of Tang San. When Ah Yin’s Soul Beast aura was exposed after Tang San’s birth, she sacrificed herself to enable Tang Hao’s breakthrough to Titled Douluo. Her remains became his ninth Soul Ring, the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone, and a Blue Silver Emperor seed; Tang Hao escaped Spirit Hall’s pursuit with the infant Tang San. 117

By the time he re-emerged from seclusion, Tang Hao was a level-95 Titled Douluo carrying a full set of Soul Bones and a red Hundred-Thousand-Year ninth Soul Ring. 113 119 120

Death and posthumous summoning

After Dugu Yan severely injured Tang San during a team Spirit Battle, Tang Hao attacked Dugu Bo in retaliation. Their later confrontation escalated when Tang Hao fought to protect Xiao Wu; Xia Liang joined Dugu Bo and used Bone Transformation Susanoo, Soul Reaping, and a forced Martial Soul Fusion Skill to turn the battle. 113 119 120

The Armored Jade Scaled Dragon Emperor critically wounded Tang Hao, destroyed his Clear Sky Hammer, and severed his right arm’s connection to his soul. Xia Liang subsequently killed him, claimed his Soul Bones, and devoured his undead spirit. 121 123

Xia Liang’s sixth Soul Skill, Reverse Life-Death Arena, can later reconstruct Tang Hao from a chosen point in his past. This manifested version retains memories and combat ability but is composed of Spiritual Power, Soul Power, and the Undead Attribute, leaving him unable to disobey Xia Liang’s commands. 131 132

In the level-89 form reconstructed by Reverse Life-Death Arena, Tang Hao appears as a burly, righteous-looking man around forty years old, with resolute eyes and a powerful bearing. 131

Personality

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San. He sought out Dugu Bo after learning that Dugu Yan had badly injured his son, and he was prepared to fight Dugu Bo to the death while attempting to protect Xiao Wu. 113 119

He is resolute and willing to endure extreme backlash for victory. During his fight with Dugu Bo, he detonated Soul Rings despite his old injuries and poisoning; as a summoned level-89 version, he detonated eight rings simultaneously without concern for self-injury. 120 132

After death, Tang Hao remains resentful of Xia Liang, but the nature of Reverse Life-Death Arena forces him into obedience. 131

Conflict with Dugu Bo

Tang Hao emerged from seclusion after Dugu Yan’s defeat of Tang San and attacked Dugu Bo rather than directly targeting Dugu Yan. The encounter left Dugu Bo injured and established the feud that later drew Xia Liang into the conflict. 113

Battle at Sunset Forest

Tang Hao fought Dugu Bo near the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well while trying to protect Xiao Wu. Despite using his Slaughter God’s Domain, Soul Bone set, Clear Sky True Body, and Ring Detonation, he was gradually overwhelmed after Xia Liang intervened. 119 120

Death at Xia Liang’s hands

Xia Liang and Dugu Bo’s true Martial Soul Fusion Skill, the Armored Jade Scaled Dragon Emperor, defeated Tang Hao. Tang Hao’s attempt to use Ring Detonation failed under the burden of his injuries; his hammer was destroyed, and Xia Liang killed him after the Golden Saint Dragon failed to stop the fusion form. 121

Undead ally in Xia Liang’s later campaigns

As a Reverse Life-Death Arena summon, Tang Hao serves Xia Liang despite his resentment. He assists Xia Liang with knowledge of Slaughter City, is summoned to capture the Blue Silver King, and forcibly fuses with Xia Liang into Armored Susanoo against the King of Slaughter. 131 137 139 142
