Personality
Jiraiya is resolute and self-sacrificing when Konoha is threatened. During his escape from the Federation, he chooses to remain behind against Hyuga Kei so Orochimaru can carry intelligence back to the Leaf Village 155.
He is cautious and resourceful in espionage, entering the Sound Village under a false identity and infiltrating the Federation's Underground Research Institute despite its security 151 152. He also carries lasting guilt over Nagato's fall, believing that he failed his former students by leaving them without proper guidance 157.
