Background and Purpose

Spirit Hall is a Soul Master institution with a ten-thousand-year inheritance. It recruits talented individuals regardless of origin or background, allowing commoners with aptitude to become Soul Masters. Bibi Dong was recruited from a commoner family, trained by Qian Xunji, and ultimately named Spirit Hall Saintess. 2

The organization traces its mission to the Angel God, whose followers uphold light and justice. Under Qian Daoliu, Spirit Hall publicly maintains that its purpose is to protect justice on the continent and suppress Evil Soul Masters. 25 45 172

History

• Bibi Dong rose within Spirit Hall after Qian Xunji trained her in Twin Martial Soul cultivation and named her Saintess. Her relationship with Yu Xiaogang led her to leak Spirit Hall’s core secrets to an outsider. 2
• During the first Heavenly Curtain appraisal, Bibi Dong was labeled the “worst Pope in the history of Spirit Hall.” Her score of -60 resulted in a Soul Ring and Soul Bone being stripped from her. 1 5

Qian Daoliu insists that Spirit Hall must continue serving the people even when individuals supported by it later become enemies. 50

Suppression of Evil Soul Masters

Spirit Hall is noted for actively hunting Evil Soul Masters. Qian Renxue views the later rise of the Holy Spirit Cult as evidence that the continent cannot remain stable without an institution like Spirit Hall enforcing this policy. 45 172

Continental Unification

Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue regard unification as necessary to end division, prevent future wars, expand Angel God faith, and stop Evil Soul Masters from becoming entrenched. 161 172 186

Divine Star Alignment

Qian Daoliu becomes dissatisfied with the God Realm after learning of Poseidon and the Asura God’s interference in Spirit Hall’s fate. He chooses to join Lu Yu’s Divine Star instead and is remade as its Angel God. 233

Lu Yu agrees to accept other Worship Hall offerings into the Divine Star if they can reach Rank 100. Qian Daoliu therefore treats the conquest of the Sun Moon Empire as both a means to secure lasting peace and an opportunity for Spirit Hall’s offerings to advance toward godhood. 233
