Background / History
Fu Hua was one of the Previous Era’s Thirteen Heroes and later became Shenzhou’s legendary Crimson Heron Immortal. She led the Tai Xu Seven Swords, but was besieged and killed by her own seven disciples; she later lost further memories during the Second Honkai Eruption. Cheng Lixue, a Valkyrie she recognized as important even after her memory loss, was among the people she ultimately failed to protect. 71 356
She entered an agreement with Otto Apocalypse ostensibly to protect Shenzhou. In practice, the pact functioned as a barrier against Schicksal interference in Shenzhou, while making Fu Hua an operative under Otto’s command. She served in the Far East Branch under the public identity of an A-Class Valkyrie while secretly acting as Otto’s spy. 94 103 298
Fu Hua became increasingly troubled by Otto’s plans involving Kiana, Yuno, and artificial Herrschers. Although bound by their agreement, she attempted to act as an internal safeguard and concealed dangerous information from Lin Yu to keep him from Otto’s attention. 95 98 113
After Lin Yu’s healing restored much of her damaged body, Fu Hua’s distrust of Otto hardened into open opposition. She considered joining Su to kill Otto, then attacked Schicksal Headquarters while under growing Honkai influence. 187 299 306
Appearance
Fu Hua usually presents herself as a restrained St. Freya student and Valkyrie, favoring practical clothing suited to martial arts and combat.
- Usually wears St. Freya Academy’s martial-arts-styled uniform with wrist guards. 101
- Often wears red-rimmed glasses. 94 148
- Her casual outfit consists of a green outer garment, dark pants, and a green beret; without her glasses, this appearance surprises Kiana. 109
- Wears a black martial-arts uniform during her attack on Schicksal Headquarters. 306
- Her eyes can turn crimson when the Herrscher of Reason Persona takes control. 307 308
Personality
Fu Hua is composed, disciplined, and exceptionally pragmatic in battle. She rapidly identifies opponents’ weaknesses, gives direct orders under pressure, and refuses to let overconfidence or sentiment compromise a mission. Her entrance examination defeats of Kiana, Bronya, and Mei demonstrate both her technical superiority and her belief that Valkyries must fight with clear judgment rather than emotion. 101
Despite her stern demeanor, she is deeply protective of talented younger fighters. She recognizes Lin Yu’s obsession with revenge and fears that his reckless cultivation will turn him into another tragedy connected to the Honkai. This concern drives her to train, reprimand, and repeatedly monitor him even when doing so endangers her own health. 104 176 188
Her duty to Otto conflicts with her conscience. Fu Hua feels guilt over her complicity in his schemes and over the people she could not save, including her former disciples. As her trust in Otto collapses, she becomes increasingly willing to oppose him directly. 95 298 385
Abilities & Skills
Cun Xin Fist Style
Fu Hua’s openly used martial art is the Cun Xin Fist Style, which she employs to maintain her public identity as an A-Class Valkyrie.
- Defeated Kiana by exploiting the openings in her incomplete Kaslana Gun-Fu. 101
- Bypassed Bronya’s Quantum Mech to incapacitate Bronya directly. 101
- Closed through Mei’s sword range and prevented her from effectively swinging her blade. 101
- Can fight at a level beyond her public persona, but limits herself to avoid exposing her true identity. 103
Tai Xu Sword Qi
As the Crimson Heron Immortal, Fu Hua possesses and teaches the Tai Xu Sword Qi system.
- Instructs Lin Yu in its cultivation, including Mind Essence, Form Essence, Divine Essence, and sword forms such as Hua and Shou. 113 114 176
- Warns that Divine Essence must not be actively cultivated before Mind Essence and Form Essence are properly established. 114
- Can use the Tai Xu Sword God technique; she invokes it to defend Wendy and Li Sushang against Sirin. 362
- Views uncontrolled advancement as dangerous, particularly when it is driven by obsession or unstable Honkai Energy. 174 176
Feathered Dust
Feathered Dust is Fu Hua’s most dangerous mental technique and a Divine Key-linked power.
- Can alter memories, hypnotize targets, and place them under long-term mental control. 113 114
- Uses it to erase Lin Yu’s knowledge connected to Otto’s plans and to conceal his healing ability from Otto. 113 187
- Employs it in combat to incapacitate or kill stronger opponents while avoiding surveillance. 164
- Its use severely strains her already damaged body and can cause her to cough blood or collapse. 71 114 164
- Is less effective against targets with specialized mental defenses, including Lin Yu’s Voidpower Gem Shard and Su’s psychic Fusion Warrior abilities. 113 306
Herrscher of Reason Authority
Honkai’s selection of Fu Hua creates a Herrscher of Reason Persona that believes itself to be the real Fu Hua.
- Enhances her mental power and allows consciousness-based attacks, including mind-reading attempts. 306 362
- The Persona can seize control of Fu Hua’s body and act on Honkai’s guidance without recognizing itself as a Herrscher Persona. 308
- Fu Hua can temporarily regain control, but prolonged suppression exhausts her and risks uncontrolled Honkai Energy leakage. 307 332 333
- Her instability worsens when nearby Herrscher Cores operate at full capacity. 333
