Background / History

Cocolia directed the X10 Experiment, sacrificing orphanage children in pursuit of technology and data. Seele Vollerei was lost during the experiment, while Bronya Zaychik lost her legs and part of her emotional circuits. Cocolia considered these outcomes acceptable costs in the fight against Honkai. 7

She exploited a business loophole to frame her colleague Raiden Ryoma, imprison him, and seize control of ME Company. With ME Company under her control, her influence within Anti-Entropy reached its peak. 7 14

Cocolia sought the Gem of Conquest inside Raiden Mei. She believed an awakened adult Herrscher would yield a more useful Gem, which she intended to install in projects such as Father or the Moonlight Throne. To force Mei’s awakening, she removed Ryoma from her life and manipulated Mei’s classmates into isolating and tormenting her. 14

Her plan was disrupted by Kiana Kaslana, Lin Yu, Siegfried Kaslana, and Schicksal’s intervention. Although Cocolia could not bring herself to directly kill Kiana—whose mother Cecilia Schariac had saved her during the Second Honkai War—she attempted to lure Kiana under her control to restrain Siegfried. 14 25

After the Third Honkai Outbreak, Cocolia lost much of her force, ME Company’s remaining assets, and Bronya’s loyalty. Her increasingly desperate alliance with Gray Serpent led to her handing over orphanage children as hostages, deploying forces in Nine Nether, and expanding her use of Herrscher-clone technology. 87 88 154 157

Her final major operation targeted the hospitalized Lin Yu. Cocolia attacked with a Titan Brigade, Father, Emperor-class Honkai Beasts, and a child controlled through a neural chip and implanted simulated Herrscher Cores. When her forces failed, she used a Honkai Beast transformation potion as a last resort; Yuno defeated her immediately. 240 241 242

Personality

Cocolia was calculating, ambitious, and highly willing to sacrifice others for power. She justified framing Ryoma, triggering the Third Honkai Outbreak, and experimenting on children as necessary measures against Honkai or internal opposition. 14 88 116

She nevertheless retained genuine affection for some of her adopted daughters. She worried when Bronya was endangered, spoke gently to An, and feared losing her children to Schicksal. This care was inseparable from her utilitarian view of them as valuable assets and obedient pawns. 7 88 118 154

As her plans collapsed, Cocolia became increasingly reckless. She relied more heavily on Gray Serpent despite recognizing his manipulation, while refusing surrender because she believed Schicksal would simply exploit or destroy her. 154 238

Schicksal’s arrival, Siegfried’s involvement, and Mei’s defenders prevented Cocolia from securing the Herrscher of Thunder. Anti-Entropy withdrew, while Schicksal seized ME Company assets Cocolia could not evacuate. 87 88

Nine Nether Crisis
