Appearance

  • Human form: Described as breathtakingly beautiful, with fair hands 92 116.
  • Eyes: Emit golden light when she becomes excited over the possibility of obtaining Primordial Violet Qi 66.
  • Characteristic treasure: Carries the simple, ancient-looking Chaos Bell or suspends it above her head 37 57.

Personality

Taiyi is proud, confrontational, and quick to threaten violence. She dismisses the Ancestral Witches as uncultured barbarians, belittles Dong Wanggong’s authority, and initially proposes destroying West Kunlun rather than negotiating with Xi Wangmu. Di Jun repeatedly restrains her or redirects her aggression 37 38 72 101.

Her ambition centers on strengthening the Demon Clan and attaining power alongside her sister. She openly covets Hong Yun’s Primordial Violet Qi and reacts with jealousy when Kunpeng becomes a Saint before her 67 78 92.

Despite her temper, Taiyi can recognize practical limits. She urges retreat when fighting threatens to cost them the Treasure Distribution Cliff’s opportunities, and accepts Di Jun’s unwanted Heavenly Marriage after understanding that Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao support it 67 77.

Her loyalty to Di Jun ultimately outweighs her attachment to her own power and existence. During the final war, she accepts her sister’s decision to relinquish their Saint origins without hesitation 185 186.

Abilities & Skills

Chaos Bell Mastery

Taiyi uses the Chaos Bell, an innate supreme treasure, for suppression, attack, and defense 37 42.

  • Elemental suppression: Suppresses earth, water, fire, and wind during battle 42.
  • Time and space suppression: Creates an opening for herself, Di Jun, and Kunpeng to retreat from the Treasure Distribution Cliff 67.
  • Destructive sound waves: Disperses Dong Wanggong’s pure-Yang divine dragon and shatters space during the attack on Xihe and Changxi 72 75.
  • Army-wide protection: Forms a golden curtain of light around the Demon Clan army against the Pangu Phantom 157.
  • Limitations: Dijiang’s Space Law repeatedly evades its suppression, while Zhujiuyin’s Time Law helps prevent Taiyi from fully using her strength 42 67.

Solar True Fire and Fire Law

Taiyi cultivates Fire Law and fights with Solar True Fire alongside Di Jun 43 75.

  • Uses Solar True Fire to ambush Chu Feng after he receives the seven Innate Gourds 43.
  • Combines fire attacks with the Chaos Bell during the confrontation on the Taiyin Star 75.
  • Her ambush fails against Chu Feng, whose Mysterious Ice Breaks Through the Void counterattack gravely injures both sisters 43.

Golden-Rainbow Movement

  • Transforms into a golden streak or rainbow to travel rapidly, including journeys to the Northern Darkness, Taiyin Star, and Purple Heavens Palace 64 75 92.

Equipment / Items

  • Chaos Bell — Her innate supreme treasure and principal weapon 37.
  • Unnamed pagoda spiritual treasure — A cherished Top-grade Houtian Spiritual Treasure surrendered to the Ancestral Dragon as part of the compensation for invading Dragon Clan territory 61.
  • Primordial Violet Qi — Granted by Hongjun with the Heavenly Dao’s permission; Taiyi comprehends it in seclusion to become a Saint 92.

History

Early Conflict with the Witch Clan

Taiyi accompanies Di Jun to Hongjun’s first lecture at the Purple Heavens Palace. Before the gates open, she uses the Chaos Bell’s pressure to confront the Twelve Ancestral Witches and nearly fights Zhurong. Di Jun holds her back to avoid causing trouble outside the Saint’s palace 37 38.

At Buzhou Mountain, the sisters ally with Jieyin and Zhunti against the Twelve Ancestral Witches. The alliance loses, with Dijiang and Zhujiuyin restricting Taiyi despite the Chaos Bell’s protection. Taiyi and Di Jun subsequently ambush Chu Feng for the seven Innate Gourds, only to be gravely injured and driven away 42 43.

Founding and Expanding the Demon Clan

After becoming Quasi-Saints at Hongjun’s second lecture, Taiyi and Di Jun proclaim the Demon Clan’s establishment. Their declaration gathers sentient scaled, furred, feathered, and shelled beings under a common identity, attracting heavenly merit and considerable fortune 55 57.

Taiyi supports Ji Meng’s proposal to subdue the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans. The Dragon campaign ends when the Ancestral Dragon defeats both sisters in one strike and demands three treasures in compensation. Taiyi personally surrenders a pagoda and angrily confronts Ji Meng over her faulty assessment 60 61.

Ji Meng then directs their ambitions toward the Phoenix Clan, but that campaign also ends in a costly withdrawal. When Ji Meng proposes attacking the Qilin Clan next, Taiyi rejects the suggestion 62 63.

The sisters instead approach Kunpeng, offering an alliance that exploits her grudge against Hong Yun. At the Treasure Distribution Cliff, Taiyi joins Di Jun and Kunpeng in attacking Hong Yun for her Primordial Violet Qi. Dijiang and Zhurong intervene, and Taiyi urges the demon leaders to abandon the fight before they miss the remaining treasures 64 67.

Establishment of the Demon Court

Taiyi helps Di Jun defeat Dong Wanggong and destroy the Immortal Court’s independence. She disperses Dong Wanggong’s divine-dragon attack with the Chaos Bell; the sisters destroy her body and trap her primordial spirit, later sparing her as a subordinate mascot 72.

Di Jun’s proclamation of the Demon Court redirects the Immortal Court’s fortune into the sisters, raising them to late-stage Quasi-Saints. Taiyi advocates immediately uniting the ten thousand races. Left to oversee the Heavenly Court while Di Jun approaches Yuanfeng, she welcomes a Qilin Clan elder who offers allegiance 72 73.

Heavenly Marriage and Sainthood

Taiyi accompanies Di Jun to propose a Heavenly Marriage with Xihe and Changxi. After the proposal is rejected, the sisters attack, but Wangshu intervenes on behalf of her disciples and forces them to flee 75.

She initially regards Hongjun’s subsequent order for Di Jun to marry Dong Wanggong as an insult. After Di Jun explains the marriage’s significance to the Heavenly Dao and Demon Race fortune, Taiyi accepts the arrangement. The wedding’s blessings raise both sisters to peak Quasi-Saint 77.

Taiyi continues pursuing Hong Yun’s Primordial Violet Qi, but Chu Feng and the Twelve Ancestral Witches defeat the Demon Clan’s forces. When she and Di Jun encourage Kunpeng to retain her grudge, Chu Feng strikes them with the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler 78 80.

After Kunpeng attains sainthood, Taiyi petitions Hongjun for an equivalent opportunity. The Heavenly Dao approves because the Demon Clan needs strengthening against the increasingly powerful Witch Clan and its allies. Hongjun grants her Primordial Violet Qi, and she soon becomes a Saint 92.

West Kunlun and the Parallel-World Counterparts

As a Saint, Taiyi supports bringing Xi Wangmu’s female immortals under the Heavenly Court. She arranges an envoy after accepting Di Jun’s policy of offering an appointment before resorting to force. Xi Wangmu instead uproots West Kunlun and relocates it, leaving the envoy—and later both sisters—to discover an enormous crater 101 102 105.

Chu Feng subsequently brings male versions of Di Jun and Taiyi from another world to the Heavenly Court. Taiyi attacks her apparent impostor, but their identical divine abilities and Chaos Bells establish that they are counterparts. The female sisters hold the advantage before Di Jun stops the confrontation 115 116.

When Chu Feng later negotiates Kunpeng’s release from the Demon Clan, he raises Taiyi and Di Jun to Saint Sixth Heaven. Their new strength lets them suppress Dijiang and Zhujiuyin individually, but not overcome the Pangu Phantom. Taiyi then suggests visiting Hongjun with wedding congratulations to seek guidance; Hongjun points the sisters toward a formation within the River Diagram and Luo Shu 151 157 160.

Final Witch-Demon War and Origin Fusion

During the final war, the male counterparts reinforce the Myriad Stars Array against the Witch Clan’s Pangu True Body. When Male Di Jun and Male Taiyi attempt to sacrifice themselves, the female sisters stop them. Taiyi suppresses her counterpart while Di Jun rejects survival through another’s sacrifice 184 185.

The sisters instead dissolve their own forms into origin power, transferring their Saint Dao fruits and insights to their counterparts. Male Taiyi reaches the fifth heaven of Hunyuan through this inheritance; this advancement belongs to the counterpart rather than to Taiyi as a separate individual 186.

Following the Demon Clan’s oath to leave the Primordial Continent, the surviving counterparts begin transforming into women. Their fused origins, the female sisters’ stronger Dao fruits, the exhaustion of their Extreme Yang Power, and the world’s rules cause the change toward the original empresses’ forms 186.
