Background / History

Linley was born in Yulan Calendar year 9984 as a member of the declining Baruk family, whose Dragonblood Warrior heritage had weakened over many generations. Roy immediately recognized Linley’s unusual destiny: his past was fixed, but his future contained innumerable shifting possibilities. 196

He possessed innate affinities for earth, wind, water, and fire. While growing up without Dellinger Ke’s guidance, he taught himself stone carving, trained as both a warrior and magus, and developed silent and instant casting. His heartbreak after Alice chose Kalan pushed his carving to master level and helped his magical cultivation break through. 198

After gaining Dragonblood Warrior abilities and becoming a God, Linley founded the Baruch Empire, entrusted it to his younger brother Worton, and left the Yulan Plane with Dilia and Beibei. 198
