Origin and early survival

Xuanwei began as a vulnerable wisp of Innate Immortal Qi, hiding from hostile spirits while relying on a System's concealment functions. Initially fearful and passive, he chose to devour nearby spiritual lights to strengthen himself, learning to distinguish beneficial energy from resentful and dangerous traces. 2

A Crimson Flame Fierce Bird nearly discovered and destroyed him. The System's emergency Mimicry: Deathly Stillness saved him, while the ordeal led Xuanwei to comprehend the Dao of seclusion and develop Deep Immortal Seclusion. 3

He later entered an ancient Kirin burial site and gained the Wutu Source Core after being recognized by its guardian will. The core merged into his origin, adding a heavy yet stable Earth-element foundation and granting the introductory Nine Tribulations Earth-Guarding Body. 5

The Nine-Leaf Spiritual Root and Tongtian's sect

While fleeing Earth Vein Rock Lizards, Xuanwei reached a hidden cave occupied by a sentient Nine-Leaf Spiritual Root. Xuanwei publicly proved that his Torch Flame was life-creating rather than demonic by causing spirit plants to sprout, flower, and bear fruit before the Enforcement Hall. Lingxiao's accusations collapsed, and Xuanwei's reputation rose sharply. 30
