Background / History

Bàishìtōng offered Xuanwei a dull, damaged jade fragment as a supposed ancient treasure. Although it initially appeared ordinary, the System detected an incalculable energy field and urged Xuanwei to acquire it. When Xuanwei infused it with Chaos Qi, it awakened as a fragment of the Chaos Bead, a supreme chaotic treasure said to contain an unformed chaotic world and evade heavenly secrets. 15

The fragment’s master-recognition process immediately resisted Xuanwei, nearly collapsing his Immortal Qi origin. The System exhausted its reserves and anchored the bond through Xuanwei’s anomalous soul essence, allowing him to survive and awaken inside the bead’s internal space. 15

Within the bead, Xuanwei discovered the remnant divine thought of Yang Mei. Yang Mei requested Chaos Qi, other Chaos Bead fragments, and treasures containing spatial or life essence in exchange for guidance concerning space and the bead’s control. He later imparted the basic Void Spirit Drawing Array. 16

Yang Mei warned that the fragmented bead could disintegrate unless its remaining pieces were recovered. Xuanwei subsequently used the bead to refine spatial materials, seek fragment-related opportunities, and gradually restore it through Jianmu origin, Chaos Soil, Saint-level tempering, Torch Flame power, and Chaos Qi. 18 22 25 29 49
