Records place Bureau agents at a British boarding school in the 1950s, where they sealed off a transformed classroom stairwell after W-FBC-0087 caused the disappearance of students and staff. The Bureau designated the location an anomalous area and began controlled experiments to determine its containment measures. 106

By 1987, the Bureau possessed tanks, military vehicles, helicopters, research personnel, and investigation teams capable of responding to a large-scale forest mutation. Its military intervention in the Dark Forest failed, however, leaving wrecked vehicles and stranded personnel behind. 47 94
