Background / History

Origin and early weakness

The Human Race emerged during the Primordial Era and was created by Nuwa, who is recognized as its Saint Mother. Its early development was slow but stable under Nuwa's lingering power. 1 43 58

Despite this origin, the race possessed little influence. At the foot of Buzhou Mountain, it could not contend for Innate treasures and instead focused on protecting its territory from stronger powers. 43

Demon Race massacre

The Demon Race treated humans as expendable resources. Nine Infant devoured hundreds of humans, after which Gui Che delivered Taiyi's decree demanding half the Human Race as blood meals and their divine souls as materials for treasure refinement. 44 45

The Three Ancestors appealed to Nuwa, but she did not directly intervene. Other major powers likewise declined to protect the race. 45

Mo Wen, the Thunder Tribulation Heavenly Lord, responded by directing tribulations against the Demon Race forces in Human Race territory. The resulting Thunder Dragons killed Nine Infant and Gui Che, ending the immediate slaughter. 47 49 54

Acceptance of a guardian and migration

Nuwa later attempted to assert control over the Human Race and remove the Four Symbols Divine Tree. The Three Ancestors and the people instead formally welcomed the Four Symbols Divine Tree as their guardian, citing the Thunder Tribulation Heavenly Lord's protection during their crisis. 58

After the Witch Clan sought to drive them from Buzhou Mountain, the Human Race accepted Mo Wen's decree to migrate. Under the Four Symbols Divine Tree's protection, they established a new homeland on the East Sea Coast, rebuilding their Ancestral Temple, Successor Flame, settlements, and means of livelihood. 61 80

Martial Dao

The Human Race adopts the Martial Dao rather than Taiqing's Golden Core Path. When Taiqing offered to teach the latter personally, no Human Race member chose to cultivate it. 89 90
