Chapter Summaries

Big Harry explained that he and Little Harry would help each other: he would help stabilize Osborn and build its power, while Little Harry would help him find a way back to his universe. The chapter left them preparing to revive Osborn with Big Harry’s perfected Lizard Formula while also gathering resources to face the attacker.

• Little Harry asked why Big Harry was helping him, and Big Harry said their arrangement was mutual aid.
• Big Harry explained that the Time Scepter was unstable and nearly out of energy, so he needed Little Harry’s help and Osborn’s resources to return home.
• Big Harry warned that their development could attract the attacker and said they needed to build defenses quickly.

• Big Harry offered a perfected Lizard Formula that strengthened the body and regenerated severed limbs without lasting side effects, and planned to make doses in the Underground Laboratory beneath the old house.

Little Harry used the Lizard Formula to regain leverage for Osborn Industries while Big Harry prepared him for greater threats. Big Harry gave him an experimental symbiote for protection, and Little Harry learned that Peter Parker was Spider-Man.

After Vulture attacked Little Harry, the Symbiote protected him and brought him to Big Harry, who urged him to seize Osborn’s power and expand their influence. Over the following year, Little Harry transformed Osborn Industries into a technological powerhouse and brought Reed Richards and Susan Storm into its psychic energy research, which might let them control or reverse their mutations.

• Vulture attacked Little Harry, but the Symbiote evacuated him and requested assistance through its psychic network.

• General Trik realized the mutations had overtaken his troops and felt a voice drawing him and the other monsters toward the Osborn Industries ruins.
• General Trik lost his remaining rationality and charged toward the ruins alongside the mutated soldiers.
• Wolverine Logan explained that Aberrant Doom’s escalating power and contamination had made him increasingly irrational and dangerous.

Little Harry and his allies escaped the spreading psionic contamination by following Wolverine Logan through a dimensional passage to the Time Variance Authority. There, their powers were sealed, and Loki arrived to question Aberrant Doom about how he had exploited the Authority’s rules.

• Little Harry fought off the aberrants while Big Harry explained that Hebron or the Time Variance Authority might be able to help contain the contamination.
• Johnny used his flames to hold back the aberrants, and Wolverine Logan activated a Pocket Signal Tower after capturing Aberrant Doom in a cage of Holy Light.

Meanwhile, Luke created a universe governed by Light and Darkness, and offered Ancient One Mage the chance to create a customized Mage Universe.

Mephisto turned Luke’s Universe-customization technology into the Energy Bank’s next major business venture, expanding its workforce and revising its exploitative labor practices under pressure. He planned to profit from selling customized Universes and Abyss-linked contracts, while the story left his ambitions growing alongside the Bank’s expanding influence.

• Ancient One gave Luke no definitive answer about creating a Mage Universe, since she did not yet need one and regarded such a foundation as dangerously sensitive.
• Mephisto and the Energy Bank shareholders made Luke’s Universe-customization technology the core of their next business venture and sent sales teams across the Multiverse to promote it.
• As business expanded, S.H.I.E.L.D. supplied human salespeople, and protests and strikes forced Mephisto to introduce wages and repeatedly revise his restrictive pay rules.
