History

Early Era

The Primordial Era began as a dangerous world in which Fierce Beasts ravaged the Great Earth and the strongest races struggled for survival. The Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin Clans emerged as leading powers among scaled creatures, birds, and beasts respectively, while the White Tiger Clan resisted Kirin dominance in the west. 3

The Sun Star warmed more than half of the world and was worshipped by countless living beings, though none knew it had become a living being. 3

Fierce Beast Calamity and the Three Clans

A Calamity targeting Fierce Beasts devastated the era. More than ninety percent of Fierce Beasts were annihilated, while the Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin Clans received Destiny and formed a tripartite order. The Human Race suffered heavy casualties amid the fighting. 20

The balance later collapsed into war when the Dragon Race declared war on the Phoenix and Kirin Clans. The conflict damaged earth veins, destroyed lower worlds, killed innumerable weaker beings, and accumulated the Karma and sin needed for a greater Calamity. 90

Witch–Demon Calamity

The later Witch–Demon Calamity eclipsed the Dragon–Phoenix conflict in scale. The Monster Race fielded the Cosmic Stars Great Array, while the Witch Clan relied on the All-Heavenly Divine Fiend Great Array and the Pangu True Body. 201 293

After the Calamity ended, Hongjun was assimilated by the Heavenly Dao. His assimilation triggered the Primordial Era's first documented world-tier advancement, bringing forth millions of Chaos Spirit Veins and greatly accelerating the cultivation and growth of living beings. 322

Parallel-World Conflict

Multiple parallel Primordial Eras eventually intersected and began merging. Hongjun of another world became the conscious Heavenly Dao of the Second Primordial Era and led its invasion of the First Primordial Era. 345 360 364

During the conflict, the Second Primordial Era began to shatter and merge into the First. The surviving world subsequently endured the Chaos Tribulation and became a Low-level Limitless World. 371 375 376

Limitless World Era

As a Limitless World, the Primordial Era's rules no longer allowed Lu Yang to make the entire world his Origin/Foundation. Sainthood became substantially harder, and Human Race Great Emperors initially failed to attain the Hunyuan Dao Fruit through the Heavenly Dao. 376 377

Lu Yang created Low-level Limitless Worlds in Chaos and merged them into the Primordial Era. These mergers benefited its inhabitants, enabled the emergence of Hunyuan Grand Unity Golden Immortals, and ultimately elevated the world to an Intermediate Limitless World. 378 379 381

Major Powers and Peoples

• Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin Clans — Received Destiny during the Fierce Beast Calamity and dominated the early tripartite order. 20
• Monster Race Heavenly Court — Developed the Cosmic Stars Great Array, which encompassed the Primordial Era and converted Outer Chaos Qi into Innate Spiritual Qi. 201
