Background / History

Originally the Hero Association's C-Class Rank 1 hero, Unregistered Knight was regarded as weak in combat despite his extensive daily training. He earned public support through constant, unglamorous service, while some fellow C-Class heroes accused him of putting on an act. He repeatedly refused promotion because he believed his strength did not warrant it. 213 221

Gu Qing first takes notice of him while he rescues a kitten from a tree. When questioned over spending time on such minor tasks, Unregistered Knight insists that helping a person and rescuing a cat are equally part of a hero's duty. He subsequently confronts a Tiger-level Fatty Monster despite being hopelessly outmatched; Gu Qing secretly heals him with Cellular Recombination to test his resolve. 213 214

Impressed by his conviction, Gu Qing accepts him into the Ultimate Immeasurable Martial Arts Hall. Unregistered Knight initially divides his time between cultivation and hero work, but the destruction of the school by muscle monsters forces him to recognize that goodwill without sufficient power cannot prevent larger tragedies. His growth accelerates through monster battles. He rises into B-Class, becomes the martial arts hall's Senior Disciple Brother, and defeats the Deep Sea King after breaking through to Magnetic Field Rotation. Gu Qing then names him his first direct disciple. 223 229 231

During the Monster Association crisis, he continues fighting even after suffering severe injuries against Gouketsu, Homeless Emperor, and Fuhrer Ugly. In his ordinary hero attire, Unregistered Knight wears protective gear, goggles, and a green watermelon-shaped helmet while riding his bicycle, Justice.
