Background / History

Xuanqing is Taiqing's first avatar, refined from Taiqing's Primordial Spirit together with Pangu blood from Pangu Hall's Blood Pool. As the first avatar severed by Taiqing, he inherited the greatest share of Pangu's residual Destiny in the Primordial Wilderness and possesses an exceptional affinity with the Pangu lineage 46 619. His identity as Taiqing's avatar was publicly revealed after his attainment of the Dao, though his connection to Taiqing had long been suspected by powerful figures 562 802.

He became Ancestor Reincarnation's first personal disciple after seeking the Reincarnation Dao Art and Law of Reincarnation. The master-disciple bond greatly benefited Ancestor Reincarnation's path to enlightenment, and Xuanqing's immense Destiny/Luck earned him his master's protection and pride. Ancestor Reincarnation repeatedly warned reincarnated Chaos Demon Gods, Hongjun, and other powers against scheming for his disciple 54 104 165 205.

He first came into conflict with Di Jun and Tai Yi over the Exiled Immortal Wing. The treasure was drawn to his Law of Speed, allowing him to claim it; afterward, nine Grand Unity Golden Immortals pursued him in hopes of taking the Top-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure 44 45. During this siege, Xuanqing demonstrated that his apparent cultivation did not reflect his true combat ability. After awakening Pangu's Power, he defeated the nine attackers in fewer than three breaths 46.

Xuanqing later cultivated connections with Fuxi and Nuwa through Dao discussions, sparring, and strategic guidance. He encouraged them to develop their Laws and physical bodies, helped arrange powerful masters for them, and advised them on dealing with Dong Wang Gong and the Immortal Court 76 77 153 154 162.

As his influence grew, Xuanqing became a central planner in opposition to the Heavenly Dao. He identified its manipulation of Qin Yuan, exposed its suppression of cultivators' breakthroughs for Destiny and Merit, and maneuvered Ancestor Reincarnation and other powerful beings toward spreading teachings and establishing lineages 85 161 165. After establishing himself on the Ziwei Emperor Star, Xuanqing protected the newly born Star Gods and directed Ziwei to gather them as disciples. He transformed the Ziwei Emperor Star into a heavily defended fortress and worked to strengthen the Star God lineage against Heavenly Dao and Demon Race interference 335 347 348.

The Heavenly Dao later spent its Origin to lure Xuanqing away from the Ziwei Emperor Star, intending to eliminate him through manipulated Quasi-Saints and the Mysterious Demon Realm. Xuanqing endured the Great Evolution Annihilation Formations, slaughtered the attackers, fought demon god remnants within the Mysterious Demon Realm, and used the Cross-Boundary Boat to absorb and purify the realm 350 353 355 360.

Following his journey into Chaos, Xuanqing aided the Hunyuan Celestial Venerables' world-opening plans and returned with vastly improved foundations 441 506 559.
