Background / History

Luohu manipulated the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans into fighting for supremacy in order to harvest the Killing Intent and Calamity Qi of their war. He used these forces to refine the Four Swords of Zhu Xian and prepare for his eventual struggle against Hongjun over the position of Dao Integrator of the Heavenly Dao. 2

Luohu led the Demon Cult during the Immortal-Demon Conflict and prepared to fight Hongjun with the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation, the God-Slaying Spear, and a large demonic force. His plans once included detonating the Western Continent’s earth veins, but Beginning Qilin’s intervention ruined that contingency. 30

For the decisive battle, Luohu gathered six Peak Hunyuan Golden Immortal allies and deployed the Demon Cult’s Myriad Demons Great Formation. Hongjun countered his Immortal Slaying Sword Formation by entering with his Three Corpses. Luohu pressed Hongjun with the God-Slaying Spear, but the self-destruction of Hongjun’s corpses devastated the formation and blasted Luohu’s body apart. Luohu ultimately self-detonated, leaving Hongjun as the conflict’s victor and his own allies without the rewards he had promised. 106 108 109 113 115 116 138

After the Heavenly Dao merged with the Demonic Path, Luohu could again manifest a physical body in the Demon Realm. The Heavenly Dao released him to manage demonic affairs and sow discord among the Hunyuan Celestial Venerables, though it retained control over both Luohu and the Demonic Path. 371

During this return, Luohu and the Heavenly Dao again attempted to scheme against the Western Continent’s earth veins. The Sanqing and Twelve Ancestral Witches learned of the plan through the Heavenly Demon, Earthly Demon, and Demon of Seven Emotions and Six Desires, who had secretly submitted to Dijiang. Their defensive arrangements exposed Jidu, and Luohu’s intervention to save him was checked by Yang Mei and Wuxing. 371 374 377

Luohu secretly replaced himself with Jidu under the Heavenly Dao’s watch, then hid beneath Little Western Heaven and drained its earth veins of Innate Spiritual Qi. His concealment failed when a trace of his aura leaked while he investigated heavenly secrets. Heavenly Punishment pursued and seemingly annihilated him, but he escaped into Chaos by abandoning his body and transforming from a severed foot. 427 476 478

In Chaos, Luohu returned to the cultivation path of the Chaos Demon Gods, rebuilding himself through preserved flesh and blood, devoured worlds, hidden secret realms, and remnants of his old power. After repeatedly recovering from defeats by Daoist Taishi and Daoist Taichu, Luohu found a second secret realm and a Pill Dao world, allowing him to return to the eighth layer of the Zenith Heaven Primordial Origin Golden Immortal realm. Luohu temporarily accepted the Heavenly Dao’s proposed alliance against Sanqing and the Twelve Ancestral Witches, while intending to exploit the Heavenly Dao before betraying it himself. During the ensuing Chaos conflict, he fought Ancestor Reincarnation and received direct Heavenly Dao Origin-force support. After the Pangu True Body, Daoist Taichu, and Chaos Green Lotus damaged his forces and drove him beyond the battlefield’s perception, Luohu withdrew into Chaos. He carved a new Universe World from a chaos storm, expending his cultivation and his companion treasure’s reserves to establish a new Demon Realm. Luohu subsequently recovered to the Sixth Heaven of the Limitless Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm and used seven emotion-based incarnations to manipulate more than a dozen cosmic worlds. Their rulers and armies were drawn toward the Demon Realm for an invasion intended to coincide with Wutian Demon’s internal offensive. Luohu planned to conquer the Primordial Wilderness, establish a second Demon Realm there, and use its luck to regain the Supreme Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal of the Origin realm. With the Chaos Beast tide nearing eradication and the Sanqing and Twelve Ancestral Witches expected to return, Luohu accepted another proposal from the Heavenly Dao. Hongjun and Jidu each created a Universe World beside the New Demon Realm, forming the New Three Realms. Luohu is ambitious, vindictive, and intensely prideful. He consistently regards the Great Desolation, the Heavenly Dao, Sanqing, and the Twelve Ancestral Witches as obstacles to be overcome rather than equals to be respected. He is manipulative when advantageous, offering Jidu authority over Demon Tribulation and attempting to pressure Chaos and five other Hunyuan Celestial Venerables through old promises. When his persuasion fails, he readily considers killing them to erase his debt. 372

His experiences also make him cautious. After escaping the Heavenly Dao, he avoids exposing himself, declines to contest the Heart of Life while weak, and probes the Shichen Realm with slaves for several hundred Eons before acting. Luohu treats alliances as expedient tools rather than genuine commitments. Although he agreed to cooperate with the Heavenly Dao during his attack on the Great Desolation, he privately intended to use its power and turn against it once Sanqing and the Twelve Ancestral Witches had been weakened. 767

In later campaigns, Luohu displayed more refined strategic judgment. Rather than wasting strength against every enemy, he redirected Styx’s Blood God Child Avatars, targeted essential Human Dao defenders, and coordinated the Chaos Beasts’ numerical advantage through a large-scale formation. 845 872

Luohu gathers six Peak Hunyuan Golden Immortal helpers and faces Hongjun above Mount Sumeru while their allied forces battle outside. Pangu True Body, Daoist Taichu, and the Chaos Green Lotus eventually launch a sustained counterattack against Luohu’s forces. His outer Demonic Path principles fracture, his law ripples diminish, and he fades beyond the battlefield’s range of perception while shielding the remaining Chaos Beasts. 883

Creating the Demon Realm anew

Luohu stops at a vast chaos storm and uses Demonic Path Thousand Fathoms to carve and expand a rift into a complete Universe World. The effort nearly exhausts his cultivation, forcing him to draw on the weapon’s reserves and link its power to the newborn realm. He summons Chaos Beasts into it, allows its laws to transform them, and establishes a new Demon Race as the foundation of another war against the Primordial Wilderness. 888

After the realm’s elemental cycle stabilizes, Luohu withdraws from its core. Without his ongoing direction, the external Chaos Beast horde scatters and becomes vulnerable to the Great Desolation’s defenders. The Heavenly Dao subsequently acknowledges that Luohu has been driven back. 889 891

Having recovered to the Sixth Heaven of the Limitless Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm, Luohu directs seven emotion-based incarnations through Chaos. They influence more than a dozen cosmic worlds, including those ruled by Zeus, Odin, Lugh, and Shiva, and draw their worlds and armies toward the Demon Realm. He restores Demonic Path Thousand Fathoms with the realm’s luck and prepares an external invasion while Wutian Demon causes disruption inside the Primordial Wilderness. 905

Establishing the New Three Realms

As the Great Desolation’s ascension nears completion and its strongest defenders prepare to return, the Heavenly Dao sends Hongjun and Jidu to negotiate with Luohu.
